The fact he was a fan of the 90s series and was cast to play his favorite character is wonderful. Even more so that he does such a phenomenal job in the role.

@@BensB3ans Oh, I adore Snufkin's voice in the '90s cartoon, too! His voice actor certainly had a blast voicing him, I'm sure.

@@BensB3ans Oh, I like both! Both versions are lovely. But you may prefer him however you want! :) Snufkin is a LOT goofier in the 90s, with a lot of personality.
@@BensB3ans I feel that today's snufkin follows the book better, since in the 2019 version he is young, and tends to get moody, or angry very often. Which is the same in the book. While in the 90s one his voice is amazing and all but at points he seems uncomfortably older then the other characters, even though he's the same age, and he shows almost no emotion except for being calm, or cramped with people.

Favorisveons I wanna help make it grow. The 90s anime only aired in Hawaii. I’ve been checking it out lately and I like it. I also checked out the 60s-70s anime and the Polish fuzzy felt stop motion version. This new series looks adorable already and I would like to watch it where I live.

It's funny, most people I ask if they've heard of it will say no but they say they recognize the characters. Anyway, as far as I know it's hard to find because it's never aired on any of the channels we have in the US
@@AluraAlua So it's not just me? I have never left the US, and yet I feel very certain I have seen the Moomins before. Especially Moominpappa.
For some reason they look so familiar to me and I wanna know why. I don't recognize Tove's personal art or any from the other adaptations, but the 90's version stands out to me. I almost wanna say it reminds me of several childhood shows, and yet none of them have a round pristine marshmallow of a character in them that would stick out like the Moomins do.
I have a sibling who feels the same way too, so it must of been something we've both seen.
i like how he snufkin can be kinda kidish by himself or ppl he barely knows like teety-woo in this instance, but when he around moomin he tries to be smarter and knowing (is this just me noticing this?)

2019 Snufkin is so much more gay than the 90's Snufkin.
I have some weird head canons about Snufkin.
-He’s autistic(Aspergers) and his special interest are nature , fishing and music.
-When he goes south he visits the “real” World, a more realistic place that’s not as peaceful as MoominValley.
-He’s Vitamin D deficient so he can’t stay without the sun for long or else he gets moody and sick easily. (This is just based on what I’ve noticed, he could also be extremely cold sensitive.)
-He’s Asexual and Aromatic. This is because he has never showed any interest in the idea of romance in the 90’s version and in the 2019 version too. Even all the “gay subtext” can also work for being best friends. Aro’s don’t feel romantic love so what takes that place is close friendships, MoominTroll.
-He knows a lot more than he lets on and is wise because he’s had similar experiences, this goes back to the head canon that he visits a harsher word in the South.
-He doesn’t like being wise and prefer’s to be goofy and act his age. He puts on the wise man act around MoominTroll because he doesn’t want him to get in trouble. (Basically being a better parent than MoominMama and MoominPapa combined)
-He likes taking care of people: MoominTroll, the Woodys and Little My. But he’s convinced that he wouldn’t be good at taking care of them so he tries to keep his distance the best he can.
Yeah umm, I’m open to criticism..most of these are pretty dumb anyway. It’s just stuff I’ve noticed about his character in comparison to the others.
