Once, and only once, I created an entire song in my sleep to go along with whatever story was being dreamed up at the time, with a tune, lyrics, a repeating chorus, dance moves and everything. To the point that I was still humming and dancing to it as I woke up. But then I started thinking about things I needed to do the night before (but didn't do) and before I knew it, all memory of the song was completely wiped out. ;^;

this is why it doesn't suprise me that The Spring Tune was shown as the series finale at first, it probably was a mistake, but what if it wasnt? 👀 this is the episode where we find out about Snufkin's fear of abandonment, and that even when he enjoys and needs to be alone, he also feels very lonely, but whose company is he craving? Moomintroll 👀👀 and it's weird that having this as the 2nd episode, these topics.... don't really get adressed later on the season, in fact the little screentime Snufkin has on later episodes (besides his other centric episode with the park keeper) his focus is not on him/him and Moomin, we learned that -sub- text is EVERYTHING on this show, so i find this very interesting.
And isn't it funny how in 'The Invisible Child' episode, at the end, Too-Ticky tells Moomin to keep listening for her, cause "there's a lot of lost souls out there that need to be heard", cut to a scene of Snufkin walking on the forest? LIKE???? and what if that was followed by this episode? like that would make so much sense, that it ended like this and S2 was actually gonna touch on these subjects and the development of their relationship 👀👀👀

The show has already done such an amazing job in the first season, they've really shown soooo much in such a beautiful way when it comes to establishing the world and each character's personal conflicts that I can only imagine will be gradually sorted out as the series goes. I love they they decided to create the show by giving us small gestures to things that we'd have to piece together the more we watch or have to catch on the rerun, it makes it all the more real and rewarding.

I love how in this show we get to actually know Snufkin's characterchracter like what he fears, what makes him happy, what's his likes and dislikes. Ya'know? I mean I'm all in for cool, mysterious, doesn't talk much Snufkin but.... It's nice seeing his perspective and well.... his feelings.

I might be looking too deep into this, but these are just things I think are symbolic in this clip:
So first, look at how the forest was first shown in this. It's dark and gloomy and obviously portrays a dark and ominous tone. This contrasts with how the forest is portrayed in a lot of other episodes, where it's sunny and happy and welcoming. This is interesting because Snufkin spends most of his alone time in the forest, which he usually enjoys. As a lot of people have pointed out, though, this episode focuses on his fear of abandonment from possibly being away for too long.
And another thing, and here's where I might be looking way too deep into this, but it's also interesting how his harmonica specifically was snatched away. He spends much of his alone time playing it, so the fact that it was stolen could suggest how he views his time away in this dream. Yet he also plays his harmonica to Moomintroll, so it could also symbolize his fear that his relationship with Moomintroll could disappear.
Yo why does this remind me of that one scene from Tangled where Eugene calls for Rapunzel but doesn’t answer and then something bad happens

Yeah, I tried to watch this series by using Google drive and it couldn't open :/ Kisscartoon.is has 10 episodes, it misses Spring Tune, The Invisible Child and Moominsmamma's maid. But quality of the rest episodes is good.
