Thanks for the update! Glad you got the carbs dialed. I know how frustrating that can be.
It's unreal Matt. You think you've got them sync'd and on the run, then the motor starts running away. I don't understand everything about them, I just know you have to keep after them and make sure everything is balanced and even... Anything happening at the shop? I've seen the shoe box on IG. Seems like you've been driving the Nova and Jim's been out in the C10.
Great to see you back Greg. Looking forward to getting a ride in the Ghia
I need the weather to warm back up just a tick! Hopefully by this weekend we can get out for a ride!!!
Good to see you and the Ghia. I remember going through similar carb issues with my 70 Beetle. Once it was sorted it was my daily for 2-1/2 years until I moved to Texas.
Thanks Terry. I've got my fingers crossed. It's running FANTASTIC now.
Great to see you Greg! Would love to see you get another project car!
Great to see you Greg, thanks for the update, you are an amazing person from what I can tell.
Thanks brother. I love seeing all the work you're doing in your shop. Amazing stuff... Love seeing your relationship with your daughter as well. You are an awesome human.
@@GregsGarage thank you 😊
Great to hear from you and looking forward to seeing more! Cheers.... Mike!
Thanks Mike!
I've been a subscriber since the days you started the Ghia. I've always enjoyed how you would tackle new challenges and skills while making steady progress. There are so many videos of people starting projects and never finishing them, but you made a promise and saw it through. I’d always admired that. I’m looking forward to another series, hopefully soon!
Yes sir! Fingers crossed brother. Hopefully a good basket case will come along soon.
So cool to see so many classic channel names here in the chat. Can't believe it's been 5 years since the move! Happy to be a sounding board if the work stuff gets out of whack again.
The old YTGG! Good update, will be fun to see the ghia cruise.
Thanks Gary.
Sweet update. Good to see you enjoying the car again.
Hey long time!
@@MrMach1 Thank you gentlemen! It has been too long. I'll get back in the groove soon.
Glad you got your car running well again. Seems like the learning curve never ends.....
Good to hear from you EZGZ. I know you have been through it many times!
@@GregsGarage I'm not an expert on Kadrons. I prefer two barrel nightmares. hehehe
Great to hear from you Greg
Thanks Tom!
Glad to see you back. Hope you find a new vehicle. Mahalo for sharing! : )
Thank you sir! Of course I ran across a 356 out in the wild today!!! The desire for a new car project is STRONG!
Good seeing you Greg I'm from the old Garage Gang days, my first you tube sticker was from you. It been a year since my last video my health failing and I had to move in a house that handicaps friendly. Still in that process our old house is up for sale. I have my 1967 bus in storage it is about 85% complete. If your into 67 split-window walk-through deluxe bus maybe we should talk..I'm 2nd owner it has all the correct seats . Next spring hope to work on it, but it will be from sitting in a wheelchair. I use to build , mandolins, banjo, hammer dulcimers been thinking of going back to that hobby.
Dan, I hope the move has gone well. I know the last time I saw you on YT you were having some mobility issues, but it didn't seem to slow you down my friend... The stringed instrument hobby is a fun one that never seems to end!
Hey Greg! I miss the ole Garage gang myself! You're looking good my friend.
right!? i mentioned that myself in the chat! i wanna bring the YTGG back!
@@GRIM_7REAPER Well I'm sure it can be done. Still lot of us still on RUclips.
Thanks brother. I have a feeling there's a bunch of us out there that are ready for "round 2" of YT life. I really enjoyed the conversations and brotherhood on the first round.
Had to go back to see your update. Never met but we miss you in KC. The whole Covid thing was spot on - no conclusions - just confusion we can move away from. Best on the 356. Looks like you got your wish!
Cool . nice to see a video from ya. Thanks for answering the questions on my video not long ago it helped . .
Right on Terry. That's how we get it done!
Greg - great to see you're doing well 👍👍😎👍👍
Thanks Joel!
We had some good times! Good to see you, Greg
No doubt Charlie!
hey greg.. thanks for the update..
NP. How's the bus running? Have you been able to drive it lately?
Good to see you around.
Thanks Randy! Hopefully going to have some more machining videos soon too.
I’m still here Brotha, and I know carb problems lol been through several last 3 yrs on my VW lol
I watch your vids brother! Love the car shows. These old VWs are like cranky old ladies.
Great to see you again Greg! I have stopped making videos and focused on my new career that I started right before covid. I have a new project car, 70 chevelle. Haven’t posted any vids about it though, too much work, just enjoying it. Good to see you are still kickin. Cheers bud!
Cheers my friend!
Hey Greg good to see you again. Glad you got your buggy going again. I am not aware of your guitar channel ?
SkyScraper Guitars is the channel. Just repairs and building. Have you been playing any shows lately? I miss seeing some of the rehearsals.
Hey, glad you're looking alright.
Thank you!
Happy to see a video, don't care what the topic is either! I'll happily sit for hours and listen to someone passionately talk about *insert topic here*. Glad you took the car out, hearing you talk about that experience seems to check that 'passionate' box...also makes me want a project car 😋.
Thanks Curt! I have SEVERAL passions... I guess you could say I'm passionate about creating and making. I love the thrill of the hunt from vision to completed project... I would flip that coin and say I just love seeing what you're doing in the machine shop. You are the consummate result if taking a bite of the elephant every day. I LOVE it!!!!
I miss the YTGG too Greg, lotta good folks there.
I miss everyone. I do get to see some of your work once in awhile. It's always a learning experience when I see your work.
I Miss the old youtube car builder days.
Like catching up with an old friend ... nice. Throw a link to the Skyscraper channel in the description so we can all easily find the channel.
Will do! Hopefully I'll have some fun projects to post soon. www.RUclips.com/skyscraperguitars
i miss the old You Tube Garage Gang too.
Maybe we could get an update on the Jag!! I hope all is well.
@@GregsGarage OK I'll record something soon.
Hey I remember you 😲
Heck yeah Greg!!!
This is ironic, firstly I too miss the old ytgg days.
But, I was watching a video of yours on midi triggering an alesis dm6!! I just acquired one, and will have a go, but need better sounding drums!!!!
I couldn't agree more Neill. That old drum video was made because I couldn't find any good info out there. If you run into any issues, just hit me up and I'll try to help.
@@GregsGarage I’ll be honest, it’s the first time I’ve got involved with midi, I’m using usb from the dm6 to the laptop, I’ve downloaded ableton (free version). But am now totally lost!!! The drum kit appears as a mic on the laptop. Do I need a different driver? Or any other software? MIDI seems to have minced my brain!!!!
Any help appreciated 👍
@@danelectro68 Are you on a Mac or PC?
@@GregsGarage pc running windows 10
@@GregsGarage also I’m not sure if I need a driver for this device, it shows up as an audio device, but only generic ??
How do you feel about a VW bus? That would be a Rad skyscraper guitar promo ride. Roll up to a guitar trade show, slide open the door and start selling guitar tools!
The "double cab" is a version of the bus with a truck bed on it. The vision is to have a SkyScraper Orange double cab to spread the word!!!
@@GregsGarage nice!
I'm still here
HEY ,, long time no see
Good to see you John!
Hi Greg, are you still associated with Guruwerks? I got a couple squares a few years back.
Good luck 👍🏼
Yes. We are still making squares and a few other items.
Greg👋
Hell yeah!
hey Greg,, pencil me in, third seat, second row
Let's do it! If you're out in the mountains for a visit, let me know.
Park the gia in the dining room. Lol. So glad i dont have your probems. Lol. Guess you need to look for a new place for your stuff. Youre a crafty guy man. I can visualize so much. Spread your wings man. Make a new plan stan. Great 2 c u. 😉🌄🇺🇸🍺
I like the way you think! We have been looking for a piece of property, but I don't have $1M to get an acre or two... This state's property prices are out of control!!!
@@GregsGarage ive got 4 acres of perked land on a dead end rural rd 1 mile from town in mass for ya. Lol. Id let you have it for 30k. Problem is its in my sisters hands now so its like 100k. ...and its in massachusetts🙄. (Some decent winter skiiing here tho...Berkshire County...3hrs from Boston, 4hrs from NYC)But yeah i get it. You can find decent prices still in tenn and ga too. (Been lookin. Lol) unfortunately im stuck here. Lol.
Hey Greg. Great to see you on this channel. I would have a word with the guys @vwlife i am sure they have something that you could apply your skills to!
I'll hit them up. Thanks Allen.
