Hi, I recently came across Catherine Pooler ink pads while trying to find beautiful colours that isnt distressed n chalky. I loved the idea they aint pearlised too. I am very new to crafting n cardmaking n wanted hybrid ink pads. These aint hybrid n not knowing enough I bought several sets. Can i stamp n use alcohol markers aswell as watercolour with these ink pads. Living in the UK I can only find them on one site Bumbleberry's. I didnt realise I can get them elsewhere, can you please help with queries n links to other companies. A fantastic n very educational video. You hav a new sub x

I guess one thing I would add is that the "Midnight" ink pad is terrible at staining photopolymer stamps and because the ink pads are foam, you easily press too hard and the black ink goes everywhere, not just on the stamp surface, but the whole stamp... just something to be aware of.
Kelly Jo, the foam pads do run out of ink quicker, but so so easy to re-ink, and don’t require a lot of saturation. When I started using her inks, I left all the others in the dust, except for my distress inks and oxides, of which I only have the essentials for my needs.
I am having trouble with these inks-the foam pad is so soft, I am getting ink bleed/transfer below the raised part of the stamp. How do you avoid that? The colors are gorgeous and I want to love them, so hoping someone can share tips. Thanks! Great video.
Tap tap tap 3 times ever so lightly and then don’t squash the stamp. They’re very juicy so less is more with these. Using a stamping platform may help, so you can use just a teeny tiny bit, then touch again if needed. You can always add more, but too much is permanent problem.
I’m trying to figure out why CP is so popular. I have Marvy, Colorbox, Crafters Companion and versafine….maybe a few others over the years. Is it just that they are newer?
Just got my first set of mini’s in the mail in the Carnival collection. I wanted to try them. I really, really like them but what do I do . Have full sets of various inks and no space left to store them, Wish I purchased them before all the other ink sets cause I am truly a fan of these inks. Tfs, Blessings!
I like her ink pads.. they cover so well and love the colors and names.. but I too like some others have mentioned struggle with them being so juicy and the ink goes all over the stamp.. ugh.. I wander if the mini ink pads help with that issue?

Other things you can do with CP inks: Emboss - you have to work relatively quickly, but the ink stays wet absolutely long enough to emboss. Color with an alcohol blender pen. Blend, the same way you do with distress inks. Direct to paper for cardstock to match your project. If you are like me and are challenged when figuring out what colors work with what, she has two guides to help you. Also, her colors are broken into collections: party - bright; spa - sophisticated and neutral. Yes, I love me some CP inks!
I bought an entire set of Catherines inks about a year ago and found that they were a little too wet and gushy for me at the time and so I put them away. After watching this, I will go back and get them out and try again. It may have been what I was working on at the time that was giving me problems and I am really excited to go back and get them out. Thanks for this video, it made me feel better about the amount of money I spent and didn't use.
Elizabeth Bailey, try tapping the stamp lightly onto the ink pad. It took me a few tries to get the pressure right because I was used to the other pad type where you have to PRESS hard. Hope you find your joy with these!

CP Inks are my go to inks. I have the entire collection with reinkers and love them all. Watercolor with them all the time! Thanks for sharing❤️

If I understand correctly, if you don't want inks you previously have, why not ask in your area what crafters might like them???

I didn’t care for these inks. I prefer the sturdier ink pads. If you push to hard they make a mess.

You stated that the Midnight from the "Nuetrals" collection is archival. Are the other neutrals archival as well?
No I dont think so,
No, at the moment only the Midnight is archival.
Midnight will also stain your stamp so be careful to not press too hard or you'll get the ink in places that make it hard to see placement.
