This was a beautiful song back in the 1970. Our soldiers loved this song when they were in Vietnam.

unfortunately there are so many Karen Young´s in showbusiness out there that it makes it difficult to even google forth info or pictures on the right one

I think Skeeter Davis did slightly better than this! This sounds like it was turned into pop instead of the slow moving tempo..
I have heard about 5 versions of this song, including the original ( Original Caste ) and the remake by Coven, those two versions are head and shoulders above all the others including this one, the music is good but the vocals need a lot of work... Just my honest opinion here.
This is not the greatest version of this song. It is a good version but it lacks the desperation that the original had. Yeah this is not that good.
