Love this video!!!!! Oh yes I am Mom and remember those little black boots and you standing in your Dad's boots. Ya this guy has always liked cowboy boots!!!!! These must be really good boots!!!!!
Good video, and nice boots. I own several pairs of Tecovas, including both colors of the Bandera, and The Stockton (roper model) in Umber. I also have a pair of each of the 3 models of The Prescott's (the bovine, shark and bison). I do not work for or get paid by Tecovas either, but I am getting close to having enough pairs to wear a different one each day of the month. In my opinion, you made the right choice with the Bandera over the Stockton. I like the lower heel and the plain toe (no stitching) on the Stockton - particularly in certain situations - but one big difference between the two is that the Bandera is leather lined, and The Stockton is not leather lined, and the lack of the leather lining makes the boot tougher to get on, despite the fact that the shaft is shorter than the Bandera. I believe The Stockton is the only boot Tecovas has made that is not leather lined, and it is surprising how difficult it is to put the boots on, while the taller Banderas slip on like the rest of the Tecovas. I do like the Vibram soles on both models, and the Vibram soles is the main reason I own these in addition to several leather soled Tecovas. These are much better for outdoor work, and the Vibram soles are definitely good to have in rainy or snowy weather. With regards to The Prescott's, the leather is made to take some wear, and the boots are designed particularly for those riding horses. The leather soles are "Butyl-treated" for toughness and durability, there is a ledge for spurs, and they are the only boots Tecovas has made with double welt stitching - which from what I understand the wider sole is good for keeping the top of the foot of the boot from wearing / rubbing against a stirrup. I do not ride horses but I liked the shark and bison leather in these boots ,,, so I added them to my collection. The Shark was the first to sell out, so I am hoping Tecovas adds a shark boot to their line of Cartwright boots like they just added one in goat leather. In comparison to the standard calfskin Tecovas (such as the Cartwright model) The Prescott's do seem to be made to take tougher wear working outdoors, etc., but the Vibram soles on the Bandera's are likely better for the type of work you are doing. I know that I would put on the Bandera's to do landscaping work over The Prescott's. And the Prescott's heel is another 1/4" higher, so one more reason your decision to get the Bandera's was the right choice for you. Great that you got in on the free belt offer. That offer has come around a couple of times in the last couple of years - and it is one big reason I have as many Tecovas as I have - since a $75 free belt makes the $255 pair of boots a nice deal, just like a free $225 alligator belt makes the $495 caiman boots a nice deal. I personally would probably never pay $225 for a belt, but it does look great with the boots so getting it free was awesome. Enjoy the Tecovas. And by the way, I agree that cowboy boots are great for work boots and wearing all the time. Timberland makes some great works boots, but cowboy boots come with the advantage of not having shoe strings that come untied, get tangled up with debris and collect dirt, etc.
What a fantastic comment and a wealth of information for us all. Congrats on the collection, that's impressive! I am keen on getting a pair of Prescott's and am even more excited about them than before. It sounds like they put a lot of thought into that boot and its application for horseback riding. I was not aware that the lack of leather lining would be that big of a difference but happy to learn that. That Cartwright in Goat leather looks line a very nice option. I'll certainly be tryin the sole out in the snow we get here in CO. Cheers man and thanks again for the time to invest in this channel and benefiting us all!
My 4th pair of Tecova’s are on the FedEx truck out for delivery today (2.20.2022). My latest are “The Stockton” in oiled Umber Bovine. I bought them for motorcycling Side point: I also bought the matching belt. I have matching belts for two of my other pair of boots. I will try their jeans next. I am very happy with Tecova’s!
That's fantastic man! I love the heck out of mine. I really hope this company keeps up the standards they have set thus far. Loving my belt and would like to try their pants/shirts. Catch ya on the next one.
Hell yeah, tacova seems like the way to go... Hadn't stepped into my dad's boots (as far as I can remember) lol. But I have had the joy of seeing my son step into mine... Thank you for the boot review vid! Worth the like and sub.
I just purchased a pair of Tecovas Prescott boots in Bison leather. I was blown away when I took them out of the box. They felt almost broken in the first time I put them on. The quality is so much better than any other boot I have owned. I thought maybe these Banderas would be great everyday boots. I may get a pair. Of course, the smooth ostrich Jasper and the lizard Nolan look nice too. They have about 5 or 6 boots I would love to own. I am a fan of Tecovas after buying mine.
I too am a huge fan! Having worn western boots all my life I was quite literally blown away at the quality at this price point. The bandera would be a solid every day boot and would surely hold up for years but wait…. Who am I convincing 😁🤣!! Thanks for taking time out of your day to watch the video, more great content coming soon.
Just ordered my Banderas Boots, now all new two colors and Bison Leather. Was reading about some complains about so narrow lover shaft part, hope can squeeze my foot through Nice detailed review man, thank you !
Went to the tecovas store in NC and its awesome! The store smells great staff is extremely helpful. I had my eye on the Stockton and left with the Bandara. Its a impressive boot very happy so far.
Man I only got a whiff of the boots in my box, a whole store would be off the charts! I'll be headed to Texas very soon and will be in a Tecovas store then. Thanks for watching and enjoy those Banderas!! I may end up in a set of Stockton's one day too.
I agree I was in the NC store today and got the Cartwright goat leather and they are the best boots I have ever had coming from araits the amount of detail was amazing and the service was great definitely gonna get another pair down the road
I appear below under a different name, as I have more than one Google account but it's a coincidence that I am here on this occasion. I am sitting in here wearing a virtually brand new pair of Banderas . My mine are the bison wheat color. Regarding the sizing-mine are a tad big. I got them during a clearance and based on a combination of user reviews and taking in consideration what Tecova suggested; I ordered a pair that were offered with fire sale pricing. I was limited in the sizes that were available and reasoned that I could modify a slightly too large boot. Plus, once, I got them, I really didn't want to send them back. And I am not that a replacement pair would have been of the same color or if I actually expect an exact replacement. I think that the wheat color was discontinued and well, I just let it go and opted to insert an insole and wear a thick sock and this combination solved the size issue, of course, going forward-I will know better what to buy at the onset. Even though I did get them as more of a wet and cold weather boot and I flat out refuse to scuff them up the way that you did yours on Day One. I did not notice before but on the Right Boot; you did more than scuff it up. There's an actual gouge on that boot and I would have been sick if that happened on day with anything I own. But hey, we each have our own reasons for having these boots.

A much better choice than the "square toe" Justin's. That stacked leather heel, and solid rubber Vibram outsole...Justin cannot compare. And again...that horrid "square toe"...is just that...horrid. I wouldn't be caught dead in square toe boots. They look ridiculous. (I do like square "snip toe"...but it is a big fat no to that huge square toe). The Tecovas...is a a great look, and solid work boot.
Really appreciate you watching and dropping this comment! It took me a bit to like the square toe but really didn't want to go that direction again so I was happy to find these workhorses. What type of boots do you wear??
Water resistant but not waterproof. You could do some topical treatment to them to add to that but may want to consider Muck boots for good all water boots. We appreciate you watching!
Great review! Visited my daughter in Nashville about a month ago , visited the Tecovas & Lucchese store’s while there. The Bandera & the Rudy were on my list. It was a tough choice, but the Bandera’s is what I’m wearing as I’m typing this comment!! Both great choices but that Lucchese is still on my mind , didn’t think I would like the wide toe but it felt great! I might have to pick up the Rudy to switch out when have too.
That's fantastic, so neat that you have these too! I think a second pair would be totally ok, especially since it's nice to give these a chance to breath. I bet that store was really nice, my last experience with the city of Nashville was a good one! Cheers Marcus.
Tecovas Daltons’s started falling apart at the outer seam after 3 months, turned to shit and heels wore down fast. They replaced them with the Jackson (due to them being out of stock and discontinuing the Dalton’s) and I wore them in the snow once, only to have the leather dye run off in my footprints and around the base of the boot. Don’t buy these boots if you plan to do anything other than walk around downtown and hangout in trendy bars. Waste of money. I’ll be resoling my 6 year old Ariats.

No, I'd get something that laces up personally. I like each step being as sure as possible and a slip on boot has a bit more slip.

nice cowboy boots cowboy up I think when guys wear cowboy hats and cowboy boots and cowboy clothes I think guys look hot in them look good in them cowboy up ❤️🤠
Thanks for watching!
Is the toe hardened like a composite toe boot?
Neither, it's just such thick leather and brought to such a tight point that it becomes super stiff. Appreciate ya watching Samuel!
Love this channel
Means a lot mate, thanks!!
Are the boots waterproof?
Water resistant but not waterproof. You could do some topical treatment to them to add to that but may want to consider Muck boots for good all water boots. We appreciate you watching!
Hola amigo como puedo conseguirlas saludos desde Tuxpan veracruz
Find a Tecovas Store or go online!!
You need a dump bed trailer bro.
Do I ever!! Those guys always pull up next to me and are unloaded and gone in 5 minutes. Cheers man
So that is why Tecovas ship their boots in a outer box to keep the product box from damage...
For sure! 🤠🤠
That sounds terrible… hope they ironed out those issues, mine haven’t given up the ghost yet. Appreciate ya warning others. 🥾🥾
Try Nicks. You'll throw your mass produced boots in the trash
