Fun fact- Mark Ronson made the melody and she produced the song from scratch over it. This was all done after the movie was filmed so her and Mark sat in a room together and just came up with the lyrics. She is truly a Goddess

I've been listening to Dua Lipa on ear buds at the gym doing cardio because most of the songs sound like this one: upbeat, dance music. I can see how this would fit in to the Barbie movie seamlessly. I just want to say, she has a beautiful voice with great range, I would love for her to do some things that are more challenging. I think we're just scratching the surface of her talent.
Fun fact- Dua Lipa although born in London, her parents are form Kosovo and Albania, she also can speak albanian.

The song is great, maybe they kept it super commercial because of the whole Barbie concept (remember Barbie the singer? She had lots of bops lol). Hope she performs this live and plays around with it!

ooh yes! her vocals were AMAZING! she's an incredible singer although i don't think it really suited Ariel's character in terms of the film. 'Part of Your World' is basically expressing Ariel's longing to be living in the human world, but Halle's take on it sounded more like a performance you'd expect from The Greatest Showman or something. just my opinion :) please no disrespect

Thanks Tristan for the review! I L💖VE DUA so much and her thick voice is what refreshes and updates her brand of 80s Disco pop. I wish she wouldn't try to minimize it and a blasting high note once in a while should've made this song 'something newer' than it sounding like a lazy, recycled excess from her Future Nostalgia album.
But nevertheless, she's a delight to hear and see💖.

I never noticed the croakiness in her voice before like where she says "my heart" around 6:40. It's interesting and unique.
The song really does lack a high note at the end. It's like the song is building up to something and then it doesn't lead where you expect.
I like the lack of high note. Dua’s low voice sounds pleasant with the upbeat instruments and mix of happy/serious lyrics. Very refreshing.

Jann is from poor working class family while Blanka is from upper class background and her parents were trying to buy her way into US career before she tried modeling and singing in Poland.

lol, I never hear a high note from dua lipa on any of the songs I have heard from her, she probably can't do it, since it never happen. Although that is something she could have worked on with a vocal coach after all these times in the buisness.
She doesn't do it much but she hits a few high notes in the live versions of Love Again and We're Good
