Now thrash may be my favourite genre but I think I prefer this new sound for them...its hard to explain...like the thrash albums were amazing but this just feels like its what they were born to do. Plus the vocals on these new songs and on No Absolution are just top tier for me

I have the feeling that they sold their souls to the devil by this change of style. My personal opinion is that an artist creates art for any reason but money, in which case that is not art anymore (is just another product on the shelf) and cannot call that person an artist. Yes, this change will bring, maybe, more people to their concerts but they better read some history of other artists and learn something. Meanwhile I'll be waiting for their next pure thrash album. I bet that the band will break up within the next year or so.

Sound good, but the first 3 albums were more Thrash Metal-ish and those are the ones that got me hooked to Lost Society. This new "Groove Metal mixed with Metalcore" -style kicks ass still. Reminds me of Trivium, Machine Head, Linkin Park (singing style in chorus sounds like Chester Bennington).
Like most long time Lost society fans, I didn’t dig it at 1st coz it’s not thrash metal. But kept an open mind, it’s actually a damn well written song. These guys r creative musicians, they don’t wana just go “thrash all over you” all through their career.

In my view, nothing can beat LxSx's thrash records but I definitely appreciate this new road the band has chosen, too 🙏🏼 As a big fan of the thrash era, it took me quite a while to get into No Absolution, but nowadays I listen to the album on a regular basis. Can't wait for the forthcoming album (already pre-ordered!), and hopefully they'll get big with this style 👊🏼

Very thrash, and turned metalcore. And now Lost Society is doing the same thing. I give this band my best wishes, of course... they're a good group, and very talented. @@SlashpLOder Another band who changed their style from pure Thrash to more melodic style is a band called Eruption. Check out their albums Cloaks Of Oblivion from 2017 and Tellurian Rupture from 2022. Not Metalcore, but you can hear a strong Nevermore and Sanctuary influence.

I agree, bands are free to change but the problem with this is that the song is ok but it's not special or new in any way. I honestly think it sounds exactly like Bullet for my Valentine or a slightly heavier version of Black Veil Brides, which isn't saying much...
Their third album was also incredible. It was the perfect mix between thrash and a more melodic style. After that, they took it too far, and don't even get me started with this song.

In my view, nothing can beat LxSx's thrash records but I definitely appreciate this new road the band has chosen, too 🙏🏼 As a big fan of the thrash era, it took me quite a while to get into No Absolution, but nowadays I listen to the album on a regular basis. Can't wait for the forthcoming album (already pre-ordered!), and hopefully they'll get big with this style 👊🏼

I hate to be negative but I'm done with Lost Society. Everything I loved about them is gone. Just listened to this on Spotify and the chorus is straight up Linkin Park. I'll forever listen to the 1st 3 albums. That's the Lost Society I love.
I do not mind if they change their style, artists do that, it is normal, but i do also miss the Trash All Over You days

This makes me so sad. Band that was making so epic thrash metal. Bringing 80 energy Back witch more modern sound. I loved it. Now they are making this shitty emo shit. Making music that kids betveen normies and hardcore wants to listen. Making music that tons of modern bands makes. They always spoke how true They are for thrash. They sold their souls and music for money and fame. They stopped making music that they love to make something that edgy emo kids wants. What nuclear blast wants. This is sad moment for metal. Sounds like a mix of Trivium, Slipknot and Linkin Park! A complete opposite of the old skool thrash they used to make. This is well done musically, but they have completely sold out. Dislike.

Another band I used to really enjoy, Ultra-Violence, did exactly this. Very thrash, and turned metalcore. And now Lost Society is doing the same thing.
I give this band my best wishes, of course... they're a good group, and very talented. And they're doing what they love! I just can't get behind this.

@@SlashpLOder Another band who changed their style from pure Thrash to more melodic style is a band called Eruption. Check out their albums Cloaks Of Oblivion from 2017 and Tellurian Rupture from 2022. Not Metalcore, but you can hear a strong Nevermore and Sanctuary influence.

I can't believe my ears... You guys went from playing speed metal to becoming a full-fledged generic butt rock pop band. That opening verse could literally be in a Nickeback song. So disappointing

For those complaining that the song sounds "different"? It is different. They're not the same band that they started as. It's called evolution. Let bands make the music they want to fucking make and either move on from it without the need to down it or go along for the ride with an open mind. You can prefer old LxSx but that doesn't make the new stuff 'bad'. It's just not for you. Stop being so damn negative about everything. Awesome work guys, this is a fucking mayhem of a track and truly some of the best vocal work Samy's done. I can't wait for the new record.

I agree, bands are free to change but the problem with this is that the song is ok but it's not special or new in any way. I honestly think it sounds exactly like Bullet for my Valentine or a slightly heavier version of Black Veil Brides, which isn't saying much...
Their third album was also incredible. It was the perfect mix between thrash and a more melodic style. After that, they took it too far, and don't even get me started with this song.
