This is fine, but does anyone remember that other band called Lost Society? They had that awesome thrash album Fast Loud Death?
Trash metal is died nowadays. I think that their evolution is a good signal bc they want to found new young people and their letters has been improve since their first album.
They were so young back then. Don't you think that it would be quite depressing them to make the same music for the rest of their lifes? You can always listen to old songs if new ones isn't for your taste.
Basic trash metal fan response when a band doesnt do their type of music anymore but want to try something new.
Now this trendy shit isn't awesome. I mean it's cool if they want to change how they sound, but this, they just copy and paste it from Linkin Park.

I saw these guys open for Exodus a few years back and they absolutely melted the entire building, Heavy crushing thrash riffs, Guitar solos for days, Vicious vocals, Slamming bass and drums, they had it all and really impressed me that night. Now they literally sound like linkin park. You will get some new fans granted, 16 year old emos but you will lose all of the fans you made during the first 3 albums. Look at Havok for example, Stayed true to their sound from the start but evolved within their genre, Afterburner sounds nothing like "v" but they are both still thrash albums now they are exploding and touring all the time and have built a huge following.

As a person who sees Lost Society live at least one or two times in a year, I can tell you that they are still very much top tier live band! You can still tell that this is Lost Society even tho this isn't so trashy anymore. And they were like on their early 20's when they released their first albums so it's just natural to try new things.

@@mnjk1558 Absolutely, but I just saw "Kill Those Who Opose me" and it was fresh, wild, full of power and for some reason originality. "Stitches" on the other hand is boring af. It just combines all those current clichees incl. break downs, being tattooed way too much, college rock sing-along chorus and those angsty-screams you hear everywhere nowadays. It's definitely important for a band to evolve, but don't listen to anyone pointing you in a more "commercial" direction. They are not "thrashy" anymore but they are also not very original anymore either.

I hate this kind of music, but these boys really bring it home no matter what genre of metal they fuck with. Everything they touch is pure gold.. End of 2022 and I’m just now finding Lost Society. Lol the irony in that statement .

The first album was AMAZING. I actually got a Lost Society Tattoo on my arm because I was so stoked on it. Kinda sad they changed their sound, but I wish them success. I had many good times listening to this band back in the day

I have a lot to say. The first thing is that is completely normal when a band try different styles and change their sound when they find their identidy and this is what happened to Lost Society: they changed, they came out of the thrash metal box to try different things and they succeded. If you don't like it or if you "miss the old lost society" there's their first albums for you to hear, or you can open your mind to new things. Also, there's a lot of other thrash bands around the world so why don't you go search for what you like to hear intead of complain that lost society isn't a thrash band anymore. Move on! The second thing is that, as a fan, I'm very very very proud of lost society's job. This song sounds like pure perfection to me and the chorus is so damn catchy that I can't stop singing! If The Sky Came Down will be such a killer album and I can't wait to hear the whole thing. Greetings from Brazil 🇧🇷

As a musician myself, i often find myself being inspired by other genres/styles and sometimes the urges to mimic what you listen to /enjoy at the moment is pretty hard.
But it's probably musically more healthy to try different things, think about slayer, they've been doing the same album over and over since South Of Heaven, although i have them all, what does it tell about their own music taste..

When I listened to the song for the first time in the morning, I wasn't that sure about the chorus.. But now when the video came out and I've had the song on repeat, I have to say that the song kicks ass, as does the rest of the song, haha! Good job guys! About the video I must say that, for my taste, many of the cuts were too frequent. I guess frequent cuts are there to communicate restlessness or something, but I would've preferred slightly longer sequences.

This is where it stop for me, damn
I don’t feel the drive in their new stuff, they’re not the same. I understand bands mature and try different sounds, and they might be trying to reach a different audience now. But the Lost Society that I knew is long gone. I had really high hopes that they would bring some thrash back, but I guess this is the direction they’re going with now, and hey if it works for them, and they sell more albums and get a bigger following, I can’t blame them.

Thrash is dead, that's the truth. I have been listening thrash metal more than any other genre but I have to admit it's dead, it has been the same since forever. Yeah, you might say, listen to new Megadeth, listen to new this, new that but it's just not the same for me anymore. I like to explore the outside world of thrash that I have been in for a long time.
They've said that they've aged out of thrash, it's fine. They aren't 17 anymore.

My first moshpit in life was 3 days ago at Tuska 2022 to the sound of these guys, and man, that's the best Finnish band I've discovered I think, their poppier stuff like this song and that nu metal vibe is dope and their thrash metal bangers are top notch, I'm really grateful to these guys to make such amazing music.
I was there too! Also saw them at Metal Capital in Oulu just before that.
