Amorphis is the best metal band in the universe. Just saw them tonight in seattle in front of a crowd of a few hundred. This band deserves better recognition and huge crowds. Esa's guitar work belongs in arenas, and Tomi's vocals belong in the hall of fame. Tickets to this show were 25 dollars! Please support this incredible band!
I saw them in Tampa for the Halo tour, I guess around that time. Great show, great music, soooo disappointed with how few people came out, maybe a couple hundred. They need more people out to support them. They deserve to be playing much bigger venues.
sorry didn't know you meant the whole album, I have no other comment about it except that I stopped at the middle, I think I've just outgrown them, I used to love their music, I don't even listen to their older songs that much now, maybe some exceptions, they just haven't changed that much to stay relevant with me and my taste now. But this song is painfully repetitive of their older material.
My 6 year old daughter really likes this song. She gets really into it during the chorus . Been listening to amorphis nearly 10 years and my love for them is continually growing.

Such a beautiful blend of past and present Amorphis. That intro definitely took me back to the Tuonela/Am Universum days, and as the song progressed, it morphed into something I could hear being on Silent Waters. Another great song from an otherwise flawless band.
I heard the same thing. But altho Tuonela is the best with Pasi,cuz it was what I heard first..it was also the time when Tomi joined the band & Eclipse was recorded.Eclipse is my favorite Tomi album.Tales & Karelian are both gems.

"The Bee" was so mindblowing, this song felt kinda underwhelming for me at first. But after every repeat I love it more and more. Can't fucking wait for this album!

I picked up Queen of Time today and it just kicks ass. I know this is the "breath of fresh air" track, but most of the album follows the melodic death metal style that Amorphis is known for. Considering that Queen of Time is a concept album, I listened to it in one go and it felt almost like a movie. All in all this track in particular is my favorite because it makes you feel that you''re fighting demons.

I've been trying to get my fiance (who mostly enjoys pop) into metal for a couple of years now - mostly to no avail (save Dragonforce). Well, alas, she listened to this song at the gym last week, and ever since then she has been listening to it non-stop, and even asked me today to show her more metal like it! Amorphis has done the impossible.
This just sounded so nostalgic that it hit me right in the feels and I cried a little. I know it's a metal song and there is really no reason to cry at all but seriously, I'm just so happy they're back. And that I have listened to them for so many years. I need to see them live this year, finally! And I just love the part from 2:55 onward.

Queen Of Time Is An Excellent Exceptional Fantastic Great Straight Up Killer Rock Album By AMORPHIS And Totally Rocks It Needs To Be Fully Cranked Up All The Way To Full Maximum Volume.
While a lot of bands are going in the opposite direction, this band is living up to their name and some. This track and the bee are phenomenal, can't wait till this album comes out!!
An astounding band. Few bands can keep up this standard of excellence. Each of their albums since Eclipse has been great, each one has a bunch of greats songs that incite great crowd reactions. Most bands decades into their career albums are like they somehow just need to put something out to justify touring; such albums you listen once, say " not bad really" and never really listen to again. With Amorphis the new records just become your new favorites.
Amazing how consistent this band has been over such a long career. Very few of the 90s metal bands still sound this good.
Michael Herman Imo Amorphis suffers the same quality drop as every band.
Barely any of the Sweden/Finnish bands have kept up such a consistent sound and Amorphis is certainly at the front.

I think it's strange nobody mentions Mermaid when it comes to the intro. After the piano part its almost identical. Still, both are fantastic songs.
