By 2025 there will be a scaled down HSR from JB to KL called ETS. If there can run the ETS with higher frequencies to attract more rider ships, basically you can push back HSR for awhile.
But have to switch trains to go SG

Bro u got a good point because our malaysia railways is too old N transport is too slow. Our malaysia traffic jam is bad even U travel in highways. Waste alot of time. Hsr is good for public especially low income people.

Not to diminish what u said, I bought into Puteri Harbour 10 years ago, there were many rosy reports, such as 6-flag theme park etc. now even Hello Kitty theme park and Jem Hotel (Shangri-La) are closed down. So even if it was published on the paper, there is still a high probability it may not happen, even when construction work has started, it can still be stopped. Keep my fingers crossed because my purchase price had gone down by more than half, I am not even calculating the exchange rate.
this goon is property salesman, of course everything is rosy. otherwise where he gets his commission? all it takes is a change is marco dynamics or agong wakes up on the wrong side of the ivory bed, you are done for the day. there is no certainty in malaysia. all the stupid singaporean thinks malaysia is cheap, but do not know why so. the reason is its govt subsidising the living standards and economy and hence the depreciating fx rate for not being able to keep up with interest rate. whatever you buy in malaysia for ppty, its a sunk cost, dont even think of profit.
Sure alot of buyers who entered Iskandar Putri 10 years ago are in a bad situation, affected heavily at the source due to the Malaysian change of government in 2018. If you lost more than half its likely Encorp Marina. But other projects like Teega, Imperia are break even or in the money on pure valuation wise. At this point you might as well wait for HSR to come back again to get some recovery in value
That project is like walking into quicksand, absorbing you into 6feet underground.

With the major ports and land bridge infra structure developments in south thailand which will short circuit sgp and johor there is a need for us to integrate closely.
This Thailand land bridge thing still abit of an uncertainty whether there is significant savings. The cost difference is not big vs Suez or Panama canals
@@AlphaMarketingSG because of the yangkee military presence in sgp the land bridge is strategic for china. Cost aspect is of lesser importance. Security is of prime importance.

its a 2 step process. Malaysia side has to confirm the model first before talk to Singapore.

Thanks for your video. I like the positive vibes you are showing about JB. I know the RTS is a sure thing now and the property owners will most definitely stand to benefit. The HSR however, i have my doubts, especailly when the Malaysian government do not want to financially support it. I see only the Chinese Rail corporation have the financial might to take on this cost. But at what cost are the chinese going to demand? Will the malaysian government agree to their demands? Will it have an impact on the HSR train tickets? Too many questions, too little answers. You dont see the SG government mentioning the revival of HSR at all. Plus, this is a 10plus years project. Will the current Malaysian admininstration still be control? This is the major question. I think JB should stick to doing the RTS project well for now. Think of building an LRT network to link up RTS stn to major parts of JB. This is much better and more practical.
TQ for your sharing. LRT, HSR are all possible permutations down the road. At this stage, we don't have enough visibility to see what is more likely to happen or be certain of the impact. The operator will very likely be given some land development rights near the HSR stations that they can monetize to recoup costs. HSR proposal has to be finalized at Malaysia level first before they will be sent to Singapore. This time the Malaysia government wants to be sure they can get it funded before signing anything with Singapore
@@AlphaMarketingSG Not forgeting the ECRL train network to come on in 2026 which is a work in progress at the moment. Dont you think the HSR will be redundant with a duplicate ECRL line running parallel to it? Why would a government make a master plan with 2 rail lines in addition to airplane route in a country like Malaysia? Much i like Malaysia to prosper, i wish the government make better long term plans when it comes to infrastructure. Dont waste the taxpayer's money.

@@AlphaMarketingSG Oh sorry. I meant the electrified rail from Gemas to JB. I thought that was connected to ECRL to KL but maybe im wrong. It seems that there ongoing rail networks in the works by the government, right? RTS, Electrified Rail, ECRL. I dont know how they are linked but it seemed to be a line from North to South. Maybe can correct me if im wrong.
@@leeaaron7856 ya but that ETS doesn't go directly into SG and though faster than current KTM, is still slower than HSR. So ya abit of a duplication but neither here nor there in terms of time savings vs flight

Sorry to say some of the info provided was not correct. You said Guangzhou to Hong Kong is 142km, it is not correct. Guangzhou to Shenzhen is 142km and Guangzhou (HSR East Station) to Hong Kong (Kowloon West HSR Station) is 177km as listed in China’s official media.

Not too cost justifiable to have another parallel rail to current KTM/ETS.
Even if to build, this high speed rail must have a stop at KLIA either Terminal 1/2, to have the mindset of aero city , to compensate the lost in KL-SG flight (MAS & AA) .
KTM/ ETS doesnt link to Singapore which is a very important factor to get load. Im not sure about connecting to KLIA. Maybe I guess
ETS link indirectly via JB Sentral to Singapore . JB Sentral should/would have pedestrian bridge linkage like the one linked to RNF mall, to the cross border rail.
Connection to KLIA or not is like Taylor Swift Concert. See if Spore gov would sponsor how much in exchange the high speed rail plan rail alignment ( for Changi competitiveness) , and If Spore don't stay connected in this high rail network, could lose out in long run..
Singapore specifically denies Malaysia to build a HSR station at KLIA as it may take away Changi passengers.

RTS is an LRT…….. not MRT.
For easy interpretation as LRT in SG is very different from LRT in MY
It was initially plan as MRT but in the latest version it was scale down to LRT (less load compared to earlier plan)
It's a just terminology. Main thing is the RTS link to woodlands North MRT station and all 120 MRT stations in Singapore
Lrt for singaporean is like small monorail in sg. Mrt is proper lrt in kl

@@viralloger267 the problem with 3-4 hour drive, is that it is not much difference from currently driving. Im sure it will help but the speeds need to be brought up to at least flight travel times to make it really competitive
@@AlphaMarketingSG as i said its a redundant project. Bear in mind there will be a massive maintainence cost. Im sure the ets train will improve in future and can travel to a higher speed. And would cut the time to less than 2 hours in future. U cant compare driving a car with a train bro. Its not logic. Coz during festive season a train could travel for 2-3 hours. But car can be stuck in jammed for 10hours

Would benefit Malaysia more than Singapore. More Malaysian, especially pmets, will be working in Singapore and spending in Malaysia. More competition for Singapore locals to compete with the Malaysian ,Ceca Indians and other pmets from other countries.
If I were a Malaysian I will buy more properties in Malaysia near the HSR and make a daily trip to Singapore to work and in the evening return back to Malaysia. Poor Singaporeans have to put up with high costs of living, high property prices, expensive food, utilities, education, etc. Singaporeans of next generation will suffer. Johore will be the biggest winner.
Smart Singaporeans better try to get Malaysia PR status.
HSR won't benefit Malaysia as a country as well.
Commuting daily using hsr won't be cheap,it's not your cheap normal bus/train ride 😅

@@jefri4176 No, you only see from one angle and I see from many others. I hope it will never ever happen and I could be right. Even if it will happen, it will only formally start 2-3 years from now, and another 5-6 years to construct. If you're a professional in your 30's/40's, it doesn't matter as my life already all planned out in KL.

You cannot compare Indonesia and Thailand of their domestic rail they are building within their own country and you cannot compare between Malaysia and Singapore as we are different entity and is not the same.
Compare what? Cross border rail links are not new. Europe has lots of high speed rails crossing multiple countries. There is a high speed rail service between Paris and London that goes under the English Channel.

Stop talking rubbish about the SG to KL HSR when you do NOT know anything. This is NOT a good deal for SG. By the way, Mahathir was correct to scrap the HSR because it duplicates an pre-existing North to South railway track the KL to Gemas & Gemas to JB Electric Train Service (ETS) Rail line. This is extremely wasteful to build 2 parallel rail lines. The HSR is not going to run at top speed of 300 KPH. Typically it will run slower - which is only slightly faster than the existing ETS railway. Why you say 50%/50% cost share? That is ridiculous.

@@AlphaMarketingSG Yes it was a bad deal. More than 96% of the track is in Malaysia. Less than 3% in SG. There is no way for 50%/50% cost bearing to be fair. That applies to the rolling stock cabins too. Poor Little SG is subsidizing its giant neighbour. Malaysia is not content to rip off SG. Malaysia also wants to remove the Assets Company so as to award tenders corruptly.

JB is pretty bad. KL is pretty high standard, even world class.
Of course there are some bad cases but I think overall property management in JB is ok. I can name bad ones in KL too if you wanna compare
Alot of Puteri Harbour issues can go back to the master developer haha but I can't say too much without being accused of libel
@@AlphaMarketingSG I think JB needs to improve further to be more liveable. KL/Klang Valley is kindda expected as it's the richest part of Malaysia, and the capital city. It's the same in all countries.
@@leealex24 I just got back from KL today and prior to Singapore I lived in KL for many years. Of course KL has its plus points but I don't think JB is worse off than KL. And JB today is alot more live-able than 10 years ago. There are many suburbs now that are really thriving with lots of lifestyle options. The big three are Austin, Sutera and Bukit Indah/ Eco Botanic
