I have only just bought a drone after a couple of years trying to take better photographs, watched a few videos by others and the histogram thing has just never sunk in for me, never had such a simple and brilliant explanation as "Try and keep it in the middle" -It's what they call an epiphany moment! Within seconds I totally understood what it means and what to do. What a game changer! Thank you so much! (I also learned a lot more from this video, but that was a big one!)
The best part is if you feel the footage is not as good you can always go back to reshoot. May not be possible for some but if it's a local spot you get to enjoy another drone flight 🌅
Absolutely. And as you improve you can get better and better shots. When I look at some of my first drone shots ever at certain locations and then ones I have got recently after years of learning they look strikingly different!

Stutters like mad with 4 or 2.7 K H.264 yet will happily run 60fps 4 K H.265 Noticed after the new DJI RC / mini 3 pro update that autofocus was glitchy on the first flight. Then not as quick to autofocus on proceeding flights. Having to stop before it would reaccuire. Having said that though the new settings that allow for individual control of shutter / iso , along with a polarising filter and like wow ! Even thin grey masses of twigs are crystal clear. Informative as per usual , thanks Mathew.
@@peterclemmet Great question! That’s the one major flaw in this drone-it’s nearly impossible to view the screen on a sunny day. I try to find shade to see what I’m recording, but even with shade, the glare off the glass makes viewing very difficult.

Good advice. Also using the low res files for editing in the Fly App (the ones from the drone transmitted to the RC) can result in missing frames making the final 1080p rendering appear to stutter. Same footage direct from the drone MicroSD card was perfect with no missing frames or stutter. Lesson learned...... use the drone SD card files with a decent editor for best results. 👌
I am new to photography...my M4P created choppy video...because of this video, I changed the code to H264 and now my video I plays smoothly on my computer...thx for the advice

Hey! I try to get at least 1 or 2 days a week where I go out and just fly for fun. I fly every day but it's usually for making these RUclips videos so it's nice to just head out and fly for fun a few times a week!

Regarding changing codecs down to H.264 to avoid choppiness on my laptop I did this with my first mini 3. Trouble comes when I chose to ramp up my fps for slow mo. The drone will change to H.265 without ANY notification for some higher memory requirement settings. Correct me if I’m wrong but I believe the only way to beat choppy play back on the higher frame rates that force you to use .265 is to spend a butt load of money on a better laptop. I went the iPad Pro option and wish I had gone MacBook Pro as Davinci on the iPad is clunky.

I used my DJI mini 3 for the first time yesterday and I did a quickshot (I think that’s what it’s called) the video looks great even on my phone once transferred but when I sent it to family and friends it was blurry. Not sure why though

Thank you for another very useful tutorial. FWIW, I found that leaving focus peaking turned on while video recording always causes my screen recordings to stutter. Is that normal? I don't like switching to AF because I don't find it reliable.

I checked my settings in DJI FLY app, and under Camera/Video, the only option I have is to turn Video Subtittles off or on. There are no Format, Color, or Coding Format options. Any ideas?

I sometimes get a wavy motion in the video that flows from top to bottom. One person suggested damaged propellers but mine are in good condition. Have you ever encountered something like this? Thanks
I am having a problem with my captured images in vedio format. The footage looks like waves or floating . I don't know exactly what terrm to use for the problem. It looks like it's not flat.
For the micro stutter when panning right or left - one videographer has stated to turn OFF the caching feature and this stops that... I have yet to try...
Hello Matthew, I have this problem when editing my 2k videos in my phone it keeps on lagging and sometimes the videos is not playing smoothly so its really hard for me to edit it, is it possible that the video quality is not compatible with my phone? Even though my phone can shoot 4k videos.
My problem is that as soon as the drone came out the box and I flew it, the video is not stable, it’s extremely shaky and doesn’t provide a stable video at all. Any suggestions please? It also didn’t come with the SD card?
My problem is when I upload videos to my laptop the quality completely goes out the window. My channel has some examples, I'm using a DJI MINI 2 and it's high quality on the phone but not on the photos app or when it's uploaded. Edit: I put the vids from the app cache into the gallery of the phone which is then sent to my laptop via email which is exported to photos, is this how you're supposed to upload them?
I exported a copy of a recording to my mobile. I sent another copy, via bluetooth to my other phone. I uploaded directly to RUclips, and the quality was a shockingly dismal 720p resolution. I noticed when I mirrored a recording, from the phone I had bluetooth a copy of the original recording that the details of the buildings appeared terribly unsharp. Do you have any idead what I'm doing wrong?

Mini 2 has all of the same features except the Noise Reduction
@@Snakestar16 Doesn't have an option to reduce sharpness which is a shame because by default it's oversharpened

I also found if the card you are using isn't high enough speed you will get some studdering.

When I'm using nd filters on my mini 2, the sky is over exposed, and the ground is black... How do I fix this? Settings are good
