Another great video Lou!! Even if the tequila you are critiquing is crap!! 🤣 I mentioned to you a while ago about a Tequila called “Zarpado”. It’s only available in Blanco and is very available up her in MA. It’s coming out of NOM 1554. So if you ever come across that brand, I would love to hear your take on it!! Salud good buddy and merry Christmas!!
I think the 07' was the good juice on the Platinos, but I dont know why that bottle looks like a repo, mine look crystal clear, but yeah check out the 07's ones
So production information is hard to come by on this, although they use some type of special 'process'. Its very hard to get transparency out of this brand. I would have to say it was obviously rested in wood, even though they don't make that clear whatsoever, and/or additives were used.
Big Lou your bottle looks like it got corked. They are infamous for getting corked and if you had it laying on its side it will take that cork color fast.
No it wasn't on its side, and after I pulled off the wax-like top, the cork did pull out it, and was loose, but it was sealed otherwise. It did have all the flavors, although I didn't particularly care for them so much, hahaha.. who knows though, anythings possible
@Keith Ross as a guy who owns 4 of these ( 2/2007 1/2008 1/2009) Yea it does and it does not come with any tint of color. I’ve had several of my bottles get cork taint. If that’s not cork taint that’s not the original liquid in the bottle🤷🏽♂️.
@Keith Ross they chose the route of a real cork instead of synthetic which a lot of tequila still use til this day so you’re statement is immature. The 07 and 08 were actually not bad for around 40$. Taste is subjective of course. Also back to your statement since real corks are considered inferior does that mean El tesoro de Don Felipe before the cork change made it inferior tequila? They also had cork breakage in the early years if you didn’t soak it enough.
Just bought a bottle and it definitely didn't look like that color. Mines was a crystal clear liquid. Something was off with your batch. This is a phenomenal blanco. Not My current favorite ( cascahuin blanco) it's delicious though.
Have you tried the reposado Lou?. I was just gifted that bottle
Appreciate you Lou. Merry Christmas!
I appreciate you- Merry Christmas Jame's
Thanks Lou. Great review. Love ya man. Saved me $100 CAN! Won’t waste my time and 💵 on it

"I dont drink much cuervo" I dont drink any cuervo at all.
Me either... but won't turn down a sip of the XA
Salud! Hahahaha...
Lou, Happy Holiday’s from Monterey County, Ca…you are appreciated for what you do for the tequila community 🤩👌🥃…
Thank you so much, it's very nice of you to say that. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family
wow! wtf is that color?
Ha..I know
Might of been a joven rather then a blanco.
No it's clearly states plata which to me is Blanco
Probably barrel rested for 60 days at most. Blancos can be by law.
Very likely, regardless it was horrible
Sounds terrible. Can’t trust that NOM.
Exactly
