That was a remixing masterpiece, to make a track recognizable but with a completely different lead synth. Just like he did to Better off Alone. Amazing artist...
Thank you! And unfortunately I don't see that happen (or at least not anytime soon....). Since Muzikxpress is "just" a hobby for me and since advertising revenue on RUclips isn't much if you don't get millions of views, I simply don't enough budget for trips abroad. That means I can only do interviews with people who live nearby where I am based (in the south of The Netherlands) or with people who visit The Netherlands for gigs or for example the Amsterdam Dance Event. I haven't seen Scott Mac at a gig here in The Netherlands in ages, so not even sure if he's still active as a touring DJ. The little money I make with the channel all goes back into equipment or travel costs (gas, parking etc). Thanks for your understanding!
At the time I was resident dj for escape Amsterdam also regular Friday night guest at the infamous IT nightclub in Amsterdam . Also doing live mixes on radio 538 party night with van diepen . I was playing a minimum of five gigs a weekend throughout Holland and pushed coming on strong and what you got for me to the maximum . The months and years following where of the scale for all of us and can I say it was a absolute pleasure to work with the original SIGNUM guys and send only ❤️ to them and wish them well . Mac

Unbelievable tune re.ember those hot sweaty dance floors and this is one of those tunes as soon as it starts coming in the whole dance floor jumps about 2 feet in the air total classic tune that will live on forever :-) :-) :-) :-)

Ascension - Someone (Signum Vocal Mix) my favourite signum remix, hard to choose though as Ron's production's are always top quality, What Ya Got 4 Me was the first one I heard due to me listening to Tidy Trax, been a fan ever since
This track is by far one of my favourite tracks of all time. Gatecrasher republic 1 in Leeds, when you here that coming in, your going to a new level. 😃😃
This guy is a Legend for me! 25 years in Trance! Most of his productions, remixes and cooperations were really exceptional. Thanks for another great interview Twan! You're kind of realizing my dreams by interviewing people who gave their heart to Trance.
Dropped Ron back to the airport after a gig once, had a good chat about the track and even signed my copy of it. Said he never intended to be a DJ just a producer his career went from there. Such a down to earth guy!
Love it. The signum remix of Katana Silence, to this day, is one of my all time favourites. Would love a DJPC - inssomniak interview at some point. 🤞👍🙂
I've seen Signum (both Ron and Pascal) live a lot of times in northern Spain (which is a rare achievement here for international DJs, except for Randy Katana) and they were always cool and very nice guys to the audience. My favourite trance track of all times, Jewelry by nature, is by them too.
A nice interview. I have always liked the vocals on this tune. They sound cool. I didn't know they were sampled. A Lange and Signum collab sounds so tasty. Hope it happens.
Ah cool! I never had the chance to visit BPM, I'm from the Eindhoven area, so I did visit Mid-Town Records, Rare Records and Freaky Records every once in a while. And I think I got to the Magik store in Breda maybe 3 or 4 times before the shut down.
@@muzikxpress Going to the recordstore, those were the days 😃 I lived in Zoetermeer so BPM was never far away. Probably half of my collection comes from that store. The other half from Midtown Den Haag😉

Kevin and Perry is so bad movie, my memory simply erased it, so I didn't remember anything about it, excluding the CRW song. I bumped into this song a few years ago - big shout out to Trance Classics - and became instantly a favourite. So I'm really glad for this inter!
That one is on my (loooong) wish list, but unfortunately I can’t do interviews with people that live outside The Netherlands at the moment due to the pandemic. So hopefully it will happen one day, but most likely not anytime soon (Check my Q&A vlogs for more info / details). And of course thanks for the kind words!

I've always thought that the tracks, "what ya got 4 me, Coming on Strong and 'Lost Witnesses' Happiness Happening" used the same progression but used different sounds. If you play all 3 tracks on the piano, they all sound the same.
Yeah when he said someone claimed the melody was stolen I thought about the Lost Witness track, I only heard the original a few years ago since everyone played the Lange remix back then but can definitely hear a resemblance
He did one especially for Tidy around this time, might be online still somewhere. For my video’s I always focus more on the story behind a track, I’m not a producer so technical questions etc are not what I do, there’s other channels that talk more about the technical part.
@@muzikxpress I’ve heard that but also heard: I know I may appear to come on strong You can’t go wrong You can’t go wrong And it’s driving me insane not knowing 😂
Interesting interview but what is the meaning of the lyrics? Maybe Ron doesn't even know. Is 'come on strong' a reference to feeling high, or to being forward? And is 'can't get around' about getting around an obstacle or getting around like the Beach Boys? None really makes sense to me. Edit: I suspect the lyrics that come up on the web are wrong.
I found the sample at whosampled. It's at 2.24 in the song 'Ain't No Way - Jazz House Overhaul' by Cheryl Pepsii Riley. There are no official lyrics but it sounds to me like, "I know I may appear to come on strong, [but if you take your chance on me, oh] you can't get around." Obviously it can be interpreted in a trance music scene way not intended in the original. I now like to interpret it... The scene itself is overwhelming at first, it 'comes on strong', but if you give it a chance, you won't be able to be disloyal to it. @@muzikxpress
