subbed for these comparisons. thanks pal.
been really searching for differences in RE3 remake last year and wasn't able to find something.
you must have uploaded this video shortly after, as this one here is also a year old. nice.
what i love the most is, that you not only took the D version, but also compared it against both, Z and the world wide release.
that's a lot of effort here.
    thanks!

You're welcome, thanks for your comment, I appreciate it !
My upload must have occured soon after your researches yes, that's why you couldn't find anything. I actually did this video (and the others if you haven't checked them yet) because of the actual lack of infos out there.
I'm glad it helps others to satisfy their curiosity :)
I do use both versions yes, as it features subtles differences worth mentionning. A lot of medias usually focus on one (the Z or D) but rarely do both. I had to buy all the versions on ps4 though, so it wasn't an easy task lol
      Take care !

Will there be an ALL Censorships & Differences in Resident Evil 2 Remake video too, since some changes are quite similar to RE3 and also has both a D and Z Version in Japan.
I was also thinking of RE games that do have Japanese censorship too, but are not docuented too much (like Resident Evil 6), only this time, the ones before RE7 only had a CERO D rating (17+) and the censorship in RE6 is mainly camera angle changes to obscure violence and shortening some character deaths.

      Hello,
It is in the plans. RE2 is filled with small differences, like RE7. RE3 doesn't have much differences as you could see in the video.
So I do plan to do that since I own both CERO versions.
I've been thinking about those games as well, they only have one CERO version unlike RE7, RE2, RE3 and RE8, so it should be easier to get my hands on. But I do not have extensive knowledge about the games like Revelations or RE5-RE6. Is there any documentations about those changes already ?

@@Geekator2012 For Resident Evil 5, I don’t think any changes were found (not even regional censorship), the only difference I found was the Gold Edition is known as the Alternative Edition in Japan (still comes with all DLC), as for Revelations, I haven’t played it personally so I can’t confirm any changes, so both of these aren’t even documented.
For Resident Evil 6 however, 2 camera angle changes were documented by a RUclipsr named ‘Haylyle’ I believe, and I’ve found 2 character death changes (by that I mean some deaths are shorter than the English version).
In fact, I’ve even created a page on The Cutting Room Floor about Resident Evil 6 and it’s censorship, but I don’t know if it’s getting more attention than the other games though, and doesn’t have more videos on it yet.
Also on Censored Gaming’s video about Why RE7 Was Censored In Japan, it talks about a director saying that the devs also had the censor past games too, and the video states examples from RE2 (original), RE4 and RE6.
The only other difference (this time not censorship) is that RE6 has an exclusive free Japanese Voice Pack DLC that wasn’t released outside Japan and the Xbox 360 version in Japan doesn’t have a second disc like all other regions (which is a voiceover disc for other voice languages).

@@VideoGameJNPoop Oh, okay, then aside from the name, RE5 doesn't have any changes, right ?
It's hard to find any infos about these differences, but I believe that if there's only a D version of the cero rating in japan for those, there isn't a LOT of alterations like the further installments in the serie (RE7...). I cannot find the YT username, maybe I haven't searched well, but I couldn't find any RE stuff ^^'
I know ! If you have any other social media plateforms you use, lemme know and we will chat there. That way, you can give me a link to your TCRF page you've created there. I would like to take a look at it ^^
I believe previous games were censored/altered, but the question is ... what are these changes ? I've seen the video you are talking about, but it lacks details. And as you may have noticed, I like going into details when it comes to those censorships lol

@@Geekator2012 I sadly don’t have any social media accounts (aside from RUclips of course), as for the RE6 changes, if you couldn’t find the TCRF page, the only options are you can search the game (English name) or you can also find a playlist created on my channel of 2 videos from Haylyle about the RE6 camera changes, I named the playlist Resident Evil 6 / BioHazard 6 Censorship, but it only has two short videos from Haylyle, the other changes other people and I found are still not documented too much in both articles and videos.
The TCRF page and playlist are only for RE6, I haven’t made a TCRF page for RE5.
The TCRF page needs more updates and improvements anyway, since not only it lacks videos or images of other differences, it also lacks a title screen on bob as well. Hopefully more users would improve the page more.

@@VideoGameJNPoop I've just checked your playlist, and indeed, there are some changes, thanks for pointing them out, it was really interesting to watch, and this, even if they are "only" camera changes !
If you have a list of undocumented changes, maybe one day I'll be able to make videos of them. Even though I haven't played (yet) RE5 and RE6, those would still be interesting to document too. And this would be interesting for the TCRF page too.
I understand your position, we're not a lot interested to document those changes, but I do hope that one day, we can release even more infos on what they exactly are :)

And I previously thought the z version is more gruesome than the western version

Now you know I would say. Even the most gore-ish version of the game in Japan do have some censorships sadly, so us having the western version are lucky to have it ^^

Too bad that japanse people must to buy CDS and the console from America to have the full experience, even if those games are from their own country xp. Even with cero Z they cant have decapitations.

    • @Geekator2012
      @Geekator2012  Год назад +1

That's true about the game, they need to import either the american or the european version to get the full experience. However, they can use their japanese console to play the game since it's region free.
