3D produces some very fine products. It's no surprise that this one has proven to be a decent topper. Watch the price go up now. I've always liked Bead maker. Now that I've seen Bead it up in action, I might buy it one day when the 50 bottles of toppers I have are empty. That white Toyota sure is "poppin"! Unbelievable. Thanks Brian.
Recently got a bottle of this to test... Been impressed so far. Once I use up my remaining Bead Maker this will replace it or I will use McKee's N-914 Wash&Wax at the spray wax dilution. THAT stuff is stupidly glossy and pretty cheap to make from the concentrate. 😉
@@larrydavisj, That is the truth. I've been using Meguiar's HCW Diluted 7 to 1 with 0.25 OZ of N914 added in as a drying aid. It works really really well
I learned about clean-garage through this channel and it is by far the best online tool for anything and everything detailing and paint correction. The "kits" they offer are AWESOME!
ive ben using this for awhile now, i have noticed it lasts for months and better than a lot of other junk out there. the vehicle i put it on wasnt being washed because it sat around and it took 6 months to start to fade away in sections and eventually after 7-8 months it failed
I put this on my Jeep this week and I drove to Lancaster from Reading in the rain the next day. It rained in the night so no full 24 hour cure but still didn't need my wipers the entire drive as the rain beaded quite well. I must say it spread easily and only needed 2-4 sprays per panel on the grand Cherokee. Let's see how long it lasts.
No surprise 3D makes an excellent top sealant like this to compete with others. Everything 3D seems to make is out standing. There 500 compound and 520polish has replaced all the compounds I ever use to buy including Sonax.
On my fair-weather-only C5 Z06, I use Bead Maker as a topper, as I have the car coated with carnauba wax for max gloss and depth. However, on my daily driver, which is protected with SiO2-enhanced sealants, I have reeeeally grown fond of the Jescar Ceramic Spray Wax. I top the ceramic-coated vehicles I detail with it, and it works well as a standalone sealant too. Very hydrophobic, fairly durable, and I have had zero issues with hazing when applying, even on hot and humid days. I have used the 3D Bead It Up, and it is a similar product. Might be time for a new shootout with some of these spray topper/sealants.
I'm a few months late to this, but just recently bought some and love it. IMO it's much better than Beadmaker, and it's super cheap in the gallon size. Basically comes out to like
Thank you for the heads up Brian, not been tempted to try beadmaker & will stick with Hydro Bead & Sheet as my topper of choice for foreseeable future.
Nice. After i clay my car i use HD speed, after 2 hrs i add Mothers spray wax or Lucas ceramic spray wax, 24 hrs later i top it with Mcquires spray wax, after 2 more hrs i add seal and shine or Bead it up with chemical guys static detailer after another 2 hrs. This process lasted here in Chicago from Sept. to March with very few washings or wipe downs. Car is garaged kept and stays clean even in heavy snow. NOTHING STICKS.
Thank you again for another solid video demonstrating a products ability! I just picked up a jug of Bilt Hamber Touchless and I'd love to see what you think about it! I find that it works amazing for removing dirt compared to the Auto Foam but I use the latter as a 2 part (Touchless and then Auto Foam) system when the car I'm cleaning is SUPER dirty. Forensic Detailing did a video on it recently and it looked promising enough for me to get it.
Touchless is totally useless, I still need to do a contact wash afterward as it did not remove all the grime, film from the paint. I will switch back to Carpro Reset or try Gyeon Bathe as touchless is very high pH around 12 that most ceramic coatings can't tolerate.
Haven't tied it, though it sits in my Amazon cart. Pretty happy with BC3. BTW, I tried out 3M's purple 4" pads, for a 3" backing plate, and they're fantastic on the mini rotary. Surprisingly so.
As you have shown before 3D products are very good. But as for Bead it up? I'd prefer Turdlewax Ceramic 3 in 1 detailer seems to be better choice. As always Brian another great Video!😉
I have a brand new car. I use to wash it once per week. Do you recommend to wash it every time with the prep shampoo and apply again beat it up or wash it with 3D pink shampoo and not apply beat it up, or wash it with 3D pink shampoo and apply beat it up?
I have an older truck and want to do some correction on it. It’s white, and I’m confused on which pad and compound/ polish to use. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
nothing beats Bead hero from Dr Beasley for me. oh and Meguires ceramic detail spray beads like hell. but that's pretty good stuff im going to get some
This was a great review and I’m a bout to buy a gallon but I like how you applied it to the hood and went from polishing to application and it still held up fine. I do use a wax and grease remover but I don’t want to do that always as I’m detailing cars on the side. I’m going to buy the gallon after seeing this.
Have you ever tried any of Lithium’s products? That’s the stuff I’m into right now. Their Seal -n- Squeal polish is absolutely amazing! Goes on easy, corrects small imperfections & looks absolutely insane on black cars. They carry all kinds of products. I use their ignite spray -n- shine while I’m drying my car or just as a quick detail. You gotta check them out unless you already did & I didn’t see? Keep up the great content…👍🏻🏁
I really want to like this product: it's super slick, leaves a nice shine and is easy to work with...but for some reason I get crazy water spotting with it. Like if it rains on the car while it's sitting I'm left with tiny dirt water spots. Never gotten that with any other product I've ever used.
I've been using this for a long time works great after ive dried the car. However, when I try to use it as a drying aid or as a spray and rinse it leaves streaks and runs. Any idea why? Or any tips? Thanks!
It would be nice to see a 3-way shoot out between Bead it Up, Beadmaker and Topper. Of course Topper would probably be the winner of the 3 when it comes to durability but with the big difference in price, it"ll be worth seeing how Bead it Up fares in all of the other categories. (i.e. gloss, slickness, etc.)
Brian is there a spray that can withstand the 10 wash test and make it through the citrol test and still bead and sheet as in the start? I haven't seen one yet.
Thank you for another great review. Can be used as a drying aid and applied to a wet car? How does this compare to PolySeal? I am having a hard time finding it. From the manufacturer, he said he only has a little left of PolySeal.
Yes, but it if the coating was new, it would not take it off completely. It's intended to take down the last bit of a wax or coating that needs to be replaced. Most good quality ceramic coatings will go several rounds against PB Strip Wash (or any stripper) before they fail. That being said, it's a great product and I really like it as a panel prep. Inexpensive, effective, dilutable if you want to use it as a simple APC, or works as an additive to your shampoo/foam if you want to make it a little more aggressive, the way Brian adds the Adams stripper to the BH soap. Poor Boys isn't always the absolute gold standard, but in many cases it's as good or better for the same price, especially for stuff you go through a lot. I certainly haven't used their entire line but nothing I've gotten from them so far has let me down. The SSR line of polishes is fantastic, particularly for situations where a good once over is good enough and you don't need it to look like the Ferrari in Ferris Bueller.
Brian, is there any good sheathing product you would recommend? I am a pro detailer and quite honestly I don’t find beading very useful at all. Yep you get your Instagram pic but hell if it’s a pain in the rear to remove water spotting and dust trapped beads of water. Beading is a byproduct of the consumer market.
I enjoy using this product for over a few years. It allows for a decent longevity. Also, it can be used over 3D Poxy and 3D Nitro-Seal per the local 3D store.
TBH, Beadmaker kinda sucks. It has little durability. Bead It Up is a bit better in durability, but feels slicker than Beadmaker. Water repellency is better on Bead It Up as well. I noticed a big problem with Bead It Up, when it rains, water spots remain on the surface when the rain evaporates and it is somewhat difficult to remove.
I have never used Beadmaker, but I have used topper alongside Bead It Up (different cars) and I think this is overall better product. Topper is less durable and slightly easier to apply - meaning it wipes off with tiny bit less effort. But Bead It Up is glossier, slicker, and more durable. And the price is better for Bead It Up. I've used this as a standalone product and on top of 3D's Ceramic Coating. This product and their ceramic coating are really a great match.
Do you prefer this.....or Bead Maker?
I may give this stuff a try but once I started using Topper, I don't really use Beadmaker anymore

Enjoyed your video and thanks for the honest review and testing. Glad you liked Bead It Up, one of my favorites - Yancy
How long does bead it up last for?
@@semperfire21probably 2-3 months I’m guessing
I now have a few of 3D products because of this channel. For the price and results, glad I bought them
Hi Brian. 3d bead it up arrived today straight on car. Can't believe how slick it is. Love the results as always thank you sir.
Definitely a hidden gem since it was released. Between 3D, BM and Topper, I enjoy all 3 as coating toppers

How long does this last with “1 coat”
@@TylerSaleik about 3 months
Watched your tec582 video. Would enjoy seeing you compare that to bead it up. 😁

Nice video as usual Brian. I recently tried Obsessed Garage drying aid and very happy with the slickness and ease of use.
Thanks for the Vid Brian!.. Your input always help me make informed choices on which products to use in my business and some to avoid.
Thank you so much for this review. I've been looking for a ceramic coat topper and this absolutely nails it. You gave me the confidence to use it. TY

i believe so.

No film or residue.
