    I find with sealant sprays, if you use them regularly, say 4-6 weeks they seem to 'layer' and give fantastic results. Thanks for the video which certainly proves a point regarding these sprays.

      Prep work and are you using it as a stand alone or on top of something else? I haved used it as a stand alone with a purple power automobile wash/dry/ isopropyl alcohol wipe down. It works pretty good for me. I got 2 months out of it. It probably could have gone more but I was bored and decided to try the TW ICE seal and shine. Working great so far also x 2 weeks.
      For the price and ease of application, I'm okay with 2 months protection.
      I have TW Seal and shine with collinite 845 on my truck. The paint looks super deep. The next wash I might to a bead maker dry down to see what it does.
      Give it a second chance!

      @@joseortega555 thanks for your response.
      I used it as a topper over the existing sealant, i day prep it with a clay mitt but i did not polish or prep wipe.
      I am now using TW S&S which i have again used as a topper.
      My next job is to do the proper prep work then add the sealant. I probably won't use B&S again due to the amount needed for the initial coat plus i have the TW to use and Megs Hybrid Ceramic! I must stop buying products!!!

Have you tested any sealants on gravel roads to see if any products repel or attract road rust to them?

      Opti Seal is good but there are much better spray sealants on the market now with much higher Sio2 content and better durability. Hyper Seal by Optimum has double the Sio2 content of opti Seal.

    • @jdisdetermined
      @jdisdetermined 5 лет назад

      Opti-Seal was an incredible product when it came out, it is showing it's age now.. Seal & Shine is far more durable, same easy application.

    • @danlc95
      @danlc95 Год назад

      I'm going on five months with Opti-Seal on part of my trunk. I made a video of it in September.
      Brian from Apex did a video pitting it against Wolfgang and it survived till the end.
      Opti-Seal's biggest "problem" is that it doesn't make the beads people have grown to like. The absence of this visual feedback equates to lack of protection - which is all in the perception.
      The other "issue" is in application. It's vitally important to let the majority of thr product flash away. Wiping immediately after application can remove most of the active ingredients before it has a chance to link up with the paint. I was guilty of doing that, as well as not applying enough product on the paint.
      Optimum recently updated Opti-Seal and it now had increased sio2 content. It sounds like it's going to be closer to the traits of the original Hyper Seal, before they included the sic component they use in Gloss Coat, and their professional coatings.
      Right now I have four cars in my close proximity that are going to ride out the winter with Opti-Seal. My car as well is going out with Opti-Seal.
      Since 2011, Duragloss 111 was my winter protection of choice. Very tough, protective sealant. It's a beast. Before I started offering ceramic coatings, it was my most durable offering, and when combined with their 601 Bonding Agent, it was even stronger.
      Duragloss Aquawax is another super strong spray sealant. I prefer it over the more modern offerings. It outlasted Bead It Up for me. Great topper for Duragloss 111, and their 101 cleaner / sealant.

I use meguiars hybrid ceramic spray wax and per directions I spray some on my car before rinsing one last time after a wash which happens every weekend.
