    Thanks for the comparison! Still prefer Beadmaker after multiple attempts to switch to other products including BIU and Tec582. These types of products get applied with every wash as a drying aid/topper for me so durability is not all that important. The paint slickness is what I’m after.

Used on many customer cars and holy does it stay on for a while even if the car accumulates dirt you can still see the gloss it creates through the dirt! Its not the gloss you get from BM but its suuuuper slick and super nice to look at !

      Seeing gloss under the dirt - for me is the metric that I use to help determine that the protection is still there, even if the beading has diminished.
      I get that with Optimum Opti-Seal through the winter months. The drawback was that it took me a while to nail the application with it.

    I love Tec582 and it's so freaking versatile, it's one of those things I believe undersells itself like Sonax BSD. I pretty much think of it like a ceramic BSD that's gonna give me more slickness and slightly better water beading.
    Martin please do yourself the favor of trying it as an interior detailer. It's awesome. I'm not going to give a dilution ratio recommendation because everyone has their own techniques and ways they apply stuff but you around with it a bit until you get a ratio that gives you the experience you like best but trust me, it's super worth trying in a few ways and a super versatile product. I buy it in the gallon size with no regrets.

    Bead Maker has a tendency to streak on dark colors. While the other products here don't. Bead maker doesn't really hold up in our SoCal Desert heat either 120F plus. I get about a week out of it. Tec 592 I can get a month out of it. So to me that's a win.

    • @BelLavoroAutoSpa
      @BelLavoroAutoSpa  Год назад

      Man I cannot find anything short of ceramic coatings that can hold up to the heat here in Texas long term, but for the price these products are great and easy enough to re apply once a month.

    • @eppyz
      @eppyz Год назад

      @@BelLavoroAutoSpa I agree but I'm not a big ceramic coating fan because out here where I live in the Southern California desert we see temperatures over 120° for about 4 or 5 months straight on average and the problem is we also get monsoons so when the car gets rained on the Sun comes out the ceramic coatings always etch with water spots so badly you basically have to compound your whole vehicle and reapply the coating and to me that's unacceptable the tec 582 I simply apply after every car wash and it holds up yes it's not as durable per se but in the real world it does the job just fine 👍

    • @BelLavoroAutoSpa
      @BelLavoroAutoSpa  Год назад

      Rain water doesn't contain minerals so you shouldn't be getting water spotting that etches. It can collect dirty but that washes away easily. Water spotting comes from hose water because of the dissolved calcium, limescale, and iron in the water. Ceramic coating or not, you will get water spotting from hard water. I get that coatings are not everyone's cup of tea though which is why I try my best to cover all types of products so people can be more informed of what they are buying!

    Around 4:13 you state that silicone and silica are similar. This is not so. The former is an oily or rubbery substance, while silica is a hard material, the major part of sand. Lots of people confuse silicone and silicon/silica.

    Not a fan of Bead Maker. Poor durability, looks OK, attracts dust like crazy. Not for me. The Tec product is easy to work with, slightly better durability than BM, nothing to write songs about. Never used the 3D topper. Interested. These days, FWIW, I prefer the QD from the Gloss Shop and BC3 from Blue Collar. BC3 is a marginally better looking topper and more durable, and the Gloss Shop QD is a joy to work with...as a QD. Very nice gloss, too. Zero streaking with either product.
