She has natural beauty. Sometimes they put too much makeup on her i guess to make her look older or more mature..idk why they do it. She is natural and her clothes fashion simple, cute, elegant, not ostentatious at all is very top notch. Her neighborhood girl (women) vibe instead of prime time, keeps her real and relevant. Keep on moving forward Brett and speaking for America and helping teens and others grow and giving them the ability to figure out right and wrong, be themselves and to not get distacted by todays mess. Youre an inspiration and a good role model.

Often, both men and women wear an amount of makeup to have their features really pop on camera (whether it be for photos or video). If you've ever sat down for a photo session, whether it's taking professional photos, wedding, family, boudoir, you name it, they'll put at least a little makeup on you, and sometimes, they really cake it on for women. I think Brett has made a point to not wear as much makeup, and she said as much in a previous video!
@@ETibbs11 thats what the makeup professions say but i don't see. i love looking at my womens natural face and skin. the blemishes, redness of the forehead or nose or cheekbones or all 3, discolorations of the skin. not all skin on you is one color. you'll see lighter or darker spots. birthmarks and everything else. makeup takes away all of that and although im not against makeup, thats one of the reasons i don't like it. makeup makes you one color and takes away natural features. i don't see photo shoots and runways as the most beautiful ppl because they look one HD color and almsot lke an avatar of a human and not a real human.
@@drepop803 I am in fact one of those women who wears no makeup, and I like it much better that way. And I happen to agree with you on what you said haha. I've heard from my husband that he prefers I don't wear makeup either. I just think Brett has made her position on wearing makeup clear, and no matter what she does/what she has to do professionally, she has her personal preferences, much like the rest of us. Maybe she wants to wear more makeup sometimes, and other times, she doesn't. I think she has a very natural beauty either way, and imo, she's never overdone it!

It’s literally so depressing that CA is run by lunatics. Because it’s such a great state. We lived there for 4 years and I miss it so much!!!
Great place to visit but yeah livability at least in the southern half is trash.
I'm in my 60s now but born and raised in and around Santa Monica, CA. You couldn't have asked for a better place to grow up back then -- the laid back beach life at its best. My beautiful home state is unrecognizable now. Had to spend some time there recently for personal reasons and I couldn't wait to get out.
Its getting too expensive! Its also harder to make friends in LA compared to other places I've lived at.
The warmer the climate, the crazier the natives...

I have to comment on in and out. The CEO did an amazing job during Covid. No, she never mandated vaccines, and she closed her store in San Francisco rather than having her young employees have to do vaccine card checks at the door. She accommodated those who were nervous and understood how people felt early on in this pandemic- or whatever you want to call it. Lindsey walks the talk. Three of my sons and a grandson all have worked for her, she is an amazing employer.
She's continuing to succeed where others are failing, I can see. Some people call it "karma".

I lived in California for 5 years and could not wait to get back to Texas. They had some good food, but I could never find a good brisket. I did learn how to cook Tri-tip though. Thanks for the trip back to where I did not want to live. Helps me stay here longer. Glad you have great memories as those are more important than where you have been.
Good Texas BBQ has been trending more in CA now in new restaurants over the past few years. There are definitely more legit options now that you would likely approve of. Many are highly rated, nationally, and two are on the Michelin list.
I could feel the vibe of SoCal oozing from this video! I am CA born and raised and still live in. It's hard to stay because of all the lib-loonies around, but what people don't realize is that there are many pockets of Conservatives in various areas. Our numbers are shrinking, but those who stay are working hard to hold our ground! We stay because we love being here and we love this State. We do not want it to fall, but if it does, there will be Conservatives who will be the ones to pick up the pieces afterwards. In the meantime, I'm going to get some In-N-Out! 😂

This is right. I’m a lifelong California Conservative who loves this state and knows it’s worth fighting for. It’s still so great despite the horrible lefty mismanagement. Imagine what it would be like with some consistent, competent government! We can’t give up on the home of Ronald Reagan!
The vast majority of Californians are practical people. We are neither nutty far-left nor unrealistic "good old days" far-right.
Remember, the political extremes are always the most vocal. The rest of us have lives to live, and unfortunately California's job market is so desirable that it is nearly impossible to afford metro area housing here.
We are not lunatics, and implying that we are only feeds into the boorish hate-filled agenda in the media.
What a fun video to watch! I grew up walking distance from PCC, went to HS near the original TJ’s and that taco truck was THE spot for late night cravings. If you’re ever in LA on a Sunday morning, check out Grace Community Church in Sun Valley. Pastor John MacArthur has been the faithful pastor there for 55 years, and the church is dedicated to God’s Word and shepherding God’s people. So grateful to be a member there!
While as a Brit I of course professionally hate the vapid nonsense of Hollywood, but damn me I loved Coronado. I really liked it and could imagine living there. Maybe its because its a rare Republican stronghold in California and 130 miles from Hollywood. The beach is huge and the people sized place of 20,000 that is Coronado suited me as I don't drive a car. A lovely lady also took pity on me, did me an emergency set of very stylish eyeglasses in the local opticians because I had lost mine on my travels and I still have them and wear them from 20 years ago when I am looking smart.

SD is liberal. However Orange County is conservative.
I’m so happy this is centered around food. Food makes a place feel welcoming, people make it feel like home.

I miss Burbank. I lived there most of my life and even went to PCC for the first few years of my GI Bill. If CA wasn't a hot mess, I'd still be there.
The things I miss the most: Tallyrand, San Fernando Rd, Frontier Wok Too, the mall, rucking in the hills, the airport, seeing Leno drive around in his tank car, and In N Out (of course).
As Mexican, I'm just happy they ate some tacos too haha.

This is so nice. Im kind of glad i never moved far away. Home is were the heart is, and I too have my special doughnuts place close to my heart i went to as a kid with my father. circa 2003 my father and i got up at 6 in the morning on a weekend to do some work on the yard equipment then cut the law. We went to a place much like this for breakfast and coffee.

I also escaped the Los Angeles area. I was born and raised there. It's changed so much for the worst. We had to leave behind friends and family to TX to provide a better life for our children. I do miss the food, the cool places, and family, but our family has flourished here. God-fearing Faith, Freedom, and Family values are welcomed and encouraged here. We'll never move back to CA.
I build my sister a shed at her old house. what became their living room. We passed the house a couple of years ago and the shed was still there. - it’s nice if you changed something and the new owners actually keep it. :)

Okay seriously Brett, you need to be the actress that plays "Jamie Chadwick." You look similar to her, she is shorter and thicker, but close enough. You are even a trained sim racer... Well you sat in a rig for a while. She is a multiple time Formula W champion, now she started on the pole in INDYCAR NXT, which is the next step to INDYCAR, at Road America. Las Angeles seems to be a lot nicer of a place than what my perspective has led me to believe in the past. It is a lot more like my own hometown Baltimore than I would have first believed, because of Hollywood and all the movie set stuff, rich people, etc. This world isn't so bad once people develop the right attitude of watering the grass where they stand, taking care of things around them instead of hoping that it is better somewhere else. You are extremely inspirational Brett and I am glad that you are so happy. I still appreciate learning from you and laughing at the fun and weirdness that never ever stops lol. 😊 Peace and blessings!!!

Weather is great in West LA almost all year round, costs too much.
