INSIDE Kenya's LARGEST National Park - TSAVO (WILDLIFE, MAASAI, SAFARI)

- Imagine a place so wonderfully unspoiled, you can hardly believe we haven’t screwed it up yet. A place with wildlife sightings that will thrill you, people whose very presence will light up your soul, landscapes that will make you think you’ve stumbled into Jon Favreau’s recreation of The Lion King, and food that will leave you stupendously stunned after each and every bite.
This is a place that feels alive. I’m talking about the kind of alive where you can feel your heart pumping blood through your veins, not the kind of alive where we’re zombies cosplaying living as we schlepp from our homes, to the subway, to the office, and back home again.
Here, the rusty bits of cynicism melt away and you feel a kind of peace you’ve never known before.
This, my friends, is Kenya's Tsavo National Park. And in this video, you'll meet the Kenyans living here. They'll share their story as we go on safari, hike up the Chyulu Hills and a dormant volcano, and run around a bush airstrip.

Watch the second part of our trip to Kenya: I Spent 7 DAYS Running with Kenyan Marathoners (KENYA EXPERIENCE) • I Spent 7 DAYS Running...
I returned from Kenya just 3 days before it was really good the people were very kind the wildlife was amazing.we couldn’t see rhino and leopard unfortunately.Great job!
Glad you had a nice trip! And thanks for whacking. Have a great day 😌
@@BaurJoe Tq you too
Lovely video about our country, our heritage! Thank you for sharing!
Means a lot coming from a Kenyan! Please feel free to share so I can hopefully come back to Kenya and make even more :) Thanks for watching!
This is a great video! Loving the 1:1 interviews with all the different people that made your trip so special, African people are such wonderful and friendly people.
I recently read a book that spoke a lot about Tsavo- it was the life story of Daphne Sheldrick and seeing some of the land that Daphne described with such passion has made me desperate to visit even more!
I particularly liked that the poachers son shared his story and to know he has come full circle and to share how he loves and cares for the wildlife.
There is no feeling like the feeling you have in Africa, a true sense of belonging in a world bigger than human existence! It’s one of the most special and magical places in the world and you’ve captured it perfectly with these clips.
Finch Hattons looks like such a wonderful place full of wonderful people - adding it to my list of places to go in Kenya - thanks for sharing this 🇰🇪 🥰
Thank you! I was lucky to have my wife helping out so I could chat on camera with everyone. *This* is what I hope to do more of. So your support means the world! Helps it reach more people and make it easier for me to make more of these :)
And thanks for the book recommendation! I recognize the name Sheldrick from the elephant orphanage. Didn't know there was a book to read, too!
This video is pure comedy and class. Just love it.New subscriber😂😂😂😂
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for joining 🤓
Welcome back to Finch Hattons Joe!😊Will be happy to host you again😊
Trust me, I’d love nothing more!!!
Loved the video!!! So informative, definitely adding it to my bucket list now! P.S. Your videography is soooo good 😍😍
Thanks so much! Really appreciate that. Hoping to share the next one asap!
This video is so needed. Your work is incredible and this park absolutely breathtaking, I can’t believe how untouched it is!
Wow, what a comment! I really appreciate that. It was a privilege to be there and document what I could.
Amazing video. It's time it blows up. Deserves millions of views❤
Thank you! Really appreciate that. And would be happy to get it millions of views if I could control such things 😜
Great piece, Joe! Was awesome to see a couple places that I have been and to learn more about places I haven’t. The interviews were 🙌🏾
Thanks so much! And glad you liked the interviews. Important for me to let folks speak for themselves and not always have the camera on my ugly mug 🥸
The Ghost and the Darkness. Tsavo maneaters
While there, I decided that the “Maneater Marathon or “Ultramarathon” needs to be a thing.
Amazing video & great conversationalist!
Thanks very much! Appreciate you watching 🙏
Would you recommend Tsavo to be included in a short safari program (6 days) in Kenya?
I wouldn't count myself as an expert since it's the only place I've done safari in Kenya. BUT it seems to be pretty accessible (relatively speaking) from Nairobi. I think it's an even safer bet during the dry season when you're likely to see more animals out and about!
@@BaurJoe thank you for your rssponse. Your video made me more interested in this place.
@@Monstrinho35 My pleasure! Thanks for watching and the kind words :)
Locals warned me not to stop nearby bushes in Tsvao because of the maneaters
Interesting! I listened to a podcast about the history of the man-eaters before I came, but it didn’t come up much in my travels so I didn’t focus on it. That said, I’d love to start the Tsavo Man-Eaters Ultramarathon just because I love the name and think it’d make for a sweet logo 😂
What time of year was this visit?
February!
This video deserves million views
I mean…. I’d happily take it 😂
