A very inspirational documentary, Klaus's story is incredible! After watching the video, I sadly learned that Klaus has since passed away. I am a photographer in Ontario Canada. (I was a social worker before I got sick) I have been researching places in Africa to come and shoot the magnificent scenery and wildlife and came across Klaus's documentary. Like others who have shared a bit of their stories here, Klaus's story really hit home for me. I had a sudden cardiac arrest in 2013 and have had 3 other significant cardiac events since then. I have died 3 times and needed to be resuscitated. After my cardiac arrest I had an anoxic brain injury , heart failure and seizures. I was just given the OK by my neurologist, cardiologist and electrocardiologist to do my trip to Africa! It is something I have wanted to do for a long time! I am still in the planning stage but the trip will most likely take place in 2022! Thank you for sharing this! Looking forward to a trip of a lifetime!!
Just saw this amazing documentary I felt connected to Klaus right away. Then found that he has passed. Very sad. But how he said, he also lives by inspiring others to enjoy life. Because of him I’m committed now to visit Kenia

I came across this and immediately felt connected, as I went to Kenya and Tanzania following 3 spine surgeries in 2.5 years.. out of the blue, I knew I wanted to see the Masai Mara and it didn't disappoint. There is no way to truly understand how amazing the journey is through adversity and lifes challenges and to sit there in the wild and be surrounded by lions, elephants and all of the other majestic beings... it's truly life changing and humbling. Well Done. Now, I cannot wait to return.. I was also there in 2020 and left right as Covid came across the world. I've kept in touch with my Masai guide and will return... After having to challenge myself to walk again, doctors telling me that I couldn't/shouldn't do certain things.. I too got stuck in the mud and had to be helped while Giraffe's walked circles around us watching.. listening to the animals at night from my tent.. and as a woman, I went alone... and never knew anyone else that had been there. Africa not only inspired me, but made me want to live. Very inspiring... rest in peace..

dear klaus. you embarked on your filming the month and year my father died of multiple myeloma. our family had just returned from kenya and tanzania. my mother paid for and made all of the travel arrangements so we could experience a last family trip of epic proportions. your works captured so much beauty, which we also enjoyed, and brings back unforgettable lifelong memories. junior was also our guide for part of our journey, and we visited many many of the places you filmed and photographed. While watching I felt as if I was with my Dad, Mom, and son, again. While my son and I were sleeping in our serengeti tent, we awoke at 4 am to a huge parade of multi generational elephants; the mother passing in front of us was clutched by a newborn. the ever changing light in africa leaves me speechless. Africa made me decide to change from a vehicle photographer to an atmospheric and landscape photographer. I wish everyone in the world could experience Africa. All of her people smile more than any other. Your family tribute is a masterpiece, not only of photography but it shows us what is in your good heart. God speed and thank you. SUBSCRIBED!
Dera Lyn - thank you for sharing part of your story - the journey/visit to Kenya and the experiences of the wild with your family is such a valuable memory - even though there is never enough time, I hope you find some comfort in having had this last great experience together! Wonderful to hear you visited many of the same places and had Junior as a guide, too! Sending lots of love, Sandra
Wow! I have just spent the last hour watching this wonderful story of Klaus Tiedge pursuing his dream to capture the beautiful wildlife in Africa. I felt an amazing bond with him as I traveled on 4 safaris to Southern Africa photographing as he did, But at 82 and after 12 spinal surgeries my days of safari living has come to an end. But not life, as I have around 50,000 photos to cul through and post on my website. What a joy to have had the opportunity to live alongside, with nature's magnificent animals!
Just watched it from Kenya and am sorry to learn that he didn`t make it. He was a talented photographer. Rest in Peace Klaus. To the family may God bless you and keep you stronger. To us, the viewers it's painful seeing such great content and learning that there isn't another one. May he continue Resting in Peace. Hugs from Kenya
Thank you for making this documentary! Very sorry for your loss and my condolences go out to Klaus's family, friends, and everyone he has touched! God bless and RIP Klaus!
@@thecadschool3656 yes unfortunately he passed away. Despite his defiance towards his illness that is so boldly illustrated in the film, he similarly embraced his circumstances as they turned. I can say I wish this did not have to happen, but it did and the way it all went was actually a blessing in disguise. Klaus, unlike many other cancer victims died well, with dignity. It is a testiment to his will and outlook in life. I miss him. I still had more to learn from him, but I have definitely taken all thst I can from this journey together. Our time was precious, and I will always have this film to remind me what happened here. I am blessed.
I'm glad Klaus had the opportunity to do this amazing trip with his family. So many have been lost over the past year with almost no warning. He looked so happy in the film. My condolences to his family. I think this beautiful film will bring joy to the world for many years to come. Thank you for sharing it.
Thank you. Yes, indeed - we are so grateful to have done Kenya together. It was a very special time. And yes, I think Klaus was more than happy to be there and you could feel that - he was full of energy and enthusiasm. It would be so wonderful to see the film to bring joy over many years. I came across this film on RUclips by chance and it's probably the first time I've sat transfixed, watching something on RUclips so intensely for an hour. I'm almost embarrassed I hadn't heard of Klaus before now and though he's no longer with us, thank you for sharing his work. Anyone who loves wildlife and also wants inspiration for their own life should watch this. My heart goes out to the Tiedge family; but what a wonderful, lasting memory this film must give them. Thank You.
Thank you for your comment. It is a sad irony that Klaus is only becoming known by the public now that he has passed away. I was very lucky to have been able share a viewing of this film with him with friends and family before he left us, but he would have been blown away to see all this support since we went public. Thank you
My goodness what a film... first time hearing avout Klaus. Found this video while randomly looking for short 10 min photography videos at 1am and wow... blown away, no words... RIP Klaus
He lived the life that so many seek, that happiness that people take a lifetime to find, he did. I hope he knows how much he impacted people's lives. This had become my inspiration. What a masterpiece .
I've been watching all the videos leading up to the release today. Terrific video, courageous by both to make. Klaus will live on forever due to his body of amazing work. I wish his lovely wife and children the very best. They should be exceptionally proud of all Klaus' accomplishments, not just as a photographer, but as a man. I am moved by this presentation.
Having just seen this film about Klaus Tiedge, I will comment as such: It's one of the most beautiful films of anything I've ever seen. Having been to Kenya on Safari twice - 1990 and 1991, I saw much of what I saw. I've always loved Africa since I was a boy, and this film was a wee bit emotional. I dearly wish I could buy this film to keep. Many thanks to a lovely man and his family, in Africa also. God Bless.

Nature is so emotional and Klaus was the perfect photographer to capture them in an artistic way and made others visualize them through his beautiful eyes. Thanks, Klaus!
I think it's real testament to the special person Klaus was that this film has touched the hearts of so many like myself -- I feel as if I knew him personally. His charisma and pictures still live on. May he rest in the peace of Christ. Beautiful documentary.
Ive been putting off watching Klaus's movie for a while. He truly is a inspiration for all, not just photographers. Do yourself a favour and get his coffee table book or one of his prints - absolutely stunning!
Thank you klause for your smile and for loving Gods amazing creations and for making the most of your life and sharing that with us, your admirers.. That comes through in your photographs for sure! I am a two time survivor of cancer. I completely understood exactly what you meant when you said you wanted to out live your diagnosis to live a longer and better life regardless of what your doctors said you would. I was never given any limits, however I have always put it in God's hands and I'm trusting him. I'm going to take what ever he gives me! I cried during this video at the beauty of the landscape and the animals. I was blessed to have seen it. May God bless you all too.😍 👍
This just popped up on my RUclips and since I am a photography hobbyist I watched it and highly recommend this if you like nature, photography or just inspiration. RIP Klaus.

This is the most inspiring documentary I have ever seen in my life. Rest in Peace Klaus Tiedge. I appreciate your magnificent work and constant passion for our rich natural heritage & I wish your family the happiest life because you've taught them the essence of life & living.
Visiting Amboselli and the Maasai Mara are the best experiences I’ve ever had. I’m not a photographer but I captured some of the most beautiful shots of the animals! It is an experience everyone should have.
I would absolutely LOVE to visit Africa and see the wildlife in person in their natural habitat. That's my ultimate goal in life. At least one of the top few
A truly wonderful and inspiring film. I stumbled across it whilst ‘surfing’ for birds and wildlife photography and I am so glad I have had the opportunity to see it. I was moved to tears when I realised the reason for making the film. RIP Klaus.
I watched this film from beginning to end Taking pictures of the last days of cancer can be very emotional. It is a very complete film. A valuable document for the family of a surviving photographer.
it's so great how he created such a beautiful memory. choosing Kenya as the destination to film mother nature, while incorporating John the man from the uncompromised tribe in the country is so much pride to receive. The scene of the mother cheetah and the cubs has many lessons in it. In loving beautiful memory of Klaus Tiedge.
I salute his courage. We lost a very loving Klaus. When I understand, he is no more, why tears rolled out my eyes? I shouldn't cry like a child. Many many love and respect for this courageous man.

Dear Daniel thank you very much for your beautiful, honouring and caring comment. I am very grateful for the time and all the special moments we had together and that we could be on safari together ! Wonderful to hear that you enjoyed the film a lot! Best wishes from Cape Town, Sandra
I love Africa it’s always been one of my favorite traveled places. I’ve also been stuck in the mud, on safari in Botswana. I think it is quite common in areas when there has been a lot of rain. Unfortunately i never got to go to Kenya, although it was one of the places I wanted to visit on my first trip to Africa. Cape Town is one of the most beautiful places in the world. It was sad to hear that Klaus passed away. Just this year on the first day of the first month I lost my youngest brother to cancer. He was only a few years younger than Klaus. So this video, although beautiful in content, brought so much sadness. It’s unbelievable how cancer takes life away. My brother was healthy, ate organic, healthy, and juiced, then found out one day he had stage 4 colon cancer. It ripped our hearts to pieces. We have been able to get through it, because we know without a doubt that he is in heaven. Klaus was obviously a very kind man. Someone who not only loved people, but animals and nature.
TBH Netflix have not even a single Doc at this level .. loved it
thank you - great you enjoyed it!
Thanks Abhi! Means a lot to me as I know how Klaus would have gone mental to see comments like this.

Beyond words.. Beautiful Kenya. Klaus's courage. Klaus's legacy!
Best docu I have EVER seen in my life!!!! This deserves a oscar hands down!!! Im SO sad he didn't make it.. I wanted him to so bad.
Tears in my eyes..! You are such great person..it's not only a movie it's a life, you are the greatest inspiration of my life..great respect sir..🙏🙏🙏
I will never get enough of this, it is so beautiful and May His Soul Rest in Peace 😢😢
Thank ýou Klaus for the great memory, lighting the moment up, my heart goes out to the family.
Rest in eternal peace Klaus Tiedge.
Heartbreaking to watch. Lovely man. RIP
Thank you for making this documentary! Very sorry for your loss and my condolences go out to Klaus's family, friends, and everyone he has touched! God bless and RIP Klaus!
The thank you goes to you for supporting us. We really appreciate it! And I know Klaus would have too!!!!
@@DeanPaarman has he passed away?
So very glad He took the time to share his story with us.
here here!
Such a beautiful film. Spending my last days in the Maasi Mara would be a dream come true.
Lots of love from Cape Town, Sandra Tiedge
This was extraordinary. Thank you Klaus. Where ever you are.Bless you.🙏
I don't know what to say but this whole documentary changed something inside me . Klaus Sir is just phenomenally beautiful soul 🙏🏼
Thank you
@@DeanPaarman Thank you
Beautiful man. Beautiful photography. Beautiful family. Greatly inspiring! God bless!
My goodness what a film... first time hearing avout Klaus. Found this video while randomly looking for short 10 min photography videos at 1am and wow... blown away, no words... RIP Klaus
same as me.
Thank you, Craig - we are utmost proud of Klaus and his work and I am doing my best to still promote and share it with the world.
as a cancer survivor, you taught me to enjoy life. i am so glad i watched it. i usually don't watch this kind of video. thank you so much.
“The end of life does not mean the end of living” - thank you Klaus RIP
A very big AMEN to 58:00mins and thanks for visiting Kenya and for your inspirational story. Rest In Peace. Good man.
God Bless.

What a film and testimony. You've touched and inspired a lot of people Klaus. Can't believe I only came across you now.
Same here
Nature is so emotional and Klaus was the perfect photographer to capture them in an artistic way and made others visualize them through his beautiful eyes. Thanks, Klaus!
I want share how much Klaus' videos inspired me. Thank you Klaus.
I think it's real testament to the special person Klaus was that this film has touched the hearts of so many like myself -- I feel as if I knew him personally. His charisma and pictures still live on. May he rest in the peace of Christ. Beautiful documentary.
Thank you very much for your kind words.
Means he is not alive 😥
Shure it is not Klaphekke? People make typo's all the time. You never know, until you study your family tree, do you?
What an inspiring person. Just proves to say life isn't about how long one lives, but what a person chooses to do with it. RIP
Absolutely spot on. Thank you for your support.
Ive been putting off watching Klaus's movie for a while. He truly is a inspiration for all, not just photographers. Do yourself a favour and get his coffee table book or one of his prints - absolutely stunning!
Thank you so much
Beautiful. Poignant. Eternal. A life of light. Thank you.
May God bless you all too.😍 👍
Dear Gayle thank you for sharing your story and for your kind feedback.
Best video on the internet, PERIOD
You will continue to live forever in our hearts Klaus ! Thank you for sharing your passion, the African Savannah remembers your name.

World of photography is mourning a huge loss! Klaus I have loved your work. Rest in peace! ❤️
A life well lived.
This just popped up on my RUclips and since I am a photography hobbyist I watched it and highly recommend this if you like nature, photography or just inspiration. RIP Klaus.
What an inspiring film and a life well lived. Thank you Klaus and may your soul rest in peace. Sending love and light to your family and friends. Grateful Kenyan.
Rest In Peace Klaus. You were an artist, and your dedication and courage is inspiration to me
This is the most inspiring documentary I have ever seen in my life. Rest in Peace Klaus Tiedge. I appreciate your magnificent work and constant passion for our rich natural heritage & I wish your family the happiest life because you've taught them the essence of life & living.
He followed his chosen path and excelled at it. A man can’t ask more than that. Well done Klaus Peace.
Leson in life. Made me think about the small things in life. Thx. Klaus (RIP)
RIP Klaus.
Thank you Jarrett!
I presented this today and yesterday for three photography classes. I was moved by it. His work is beautiful
THANK YOU, Klaus Tiedge. We are truly grateful! You live on, our dear Klaus, YOU LIVE ON!
I clicked because of the photography, but this was just something else...all can say is - Thank you for sharing this. *Emotional* ...damn.
Thank you for sharing! Absolutely Amazing! There is a little bit of Klaus in everyone.
...love this..."there is a little bit of Klaus in everyone"
I watched this film from beginning to end
Taking pictures of the last days of cancer can be very emotional.
It is a very complete film.
A valuable document for the family of a surviving photographer.
Indeed it is - a very valuable memory to have spent time on Klaus last safari together as a family
It has always been my dream to visit here . I’ve never seen Africa . What a beautiful gift. Thank you so very very much. Love Michele.❤️🇨🇦
You can ...can I text you privately
it's so great how he created such a beautiful memory. choosing Kenya as the destination to film mother nature, while incorporating John the man from the uncompromised tribe in the country is so much pride to receive. The scene of the mother cheetah and the cubs has many lessons in it. In loving beautiful memory of Klaus Tiedge.
Freut mich sehr!
I salute his courage. We lost a very loving Klaus. When I understand, he is no more, why tears rolled out my eyes? I shouldn't cry like a child. Many many love and respect for this courageous man.
May your soul rest in peace Klaus. Thanks for the beautiful video

Dear Daniel thank you very much for your beautiful, honouring and caring comment. I am very grateful for the time and all the special moments we had together and that we could be on safari together ! Wonderful to hear that you enjoyed the film a lot! Best wishes from Cape Town, Sandra
wow....just bumped into this randomly and I can say it was worth it. Glad to have met klaus
STUNNING BEAUTY . GLORIOUS !
LIFE MATTERS.
RIP Klaus, You will never be forgotten. Thank you so much for the valuable Life lesson.
Thanks for sharing your talent and beauty of Africa. RIP Klaus, you lived a very short but a wonderful life. Thank you again.
I am livid. What a happy soul. We shall continue celebrating him through his work.
