Hi, I find your video very useful, but I have further question about reverse gear wire which you mentioned is purple&white. The radio wire diagram shows that : 1:+12v ignition switch 2- GND 3-Automatic antenna 4- break control line 5- steering wheel control 6- B+ (+12) 7- Small light control (ILL) 8- Reversing control line So, my question is: Is the reverse gear wire you are talking about the number 8 wire?
When you tapped into the reverse light in the back the positive red wire looked like it had 3 wire of course one original wire one is camera what's the third?
@@marwankabala4225 4 hrs maybe? it takes some time, just to get the huge plastic piece on the rear tailgate apart takes some effort, you have to run the camera wire all the way up, feed it through the wiring grommets to the main body, then splice into the reverse light wire, then just run it to the front of the car, the easier part. Its totally doable, just does take some effort.
Hi. My Hyundai Tucson 2015 has a review camera. How do you rewire it to aftermarket stereo with RP4.2-HY11 ? I thought it would retain factory camera capabilities
Since the backup camera was an available option in the media pack, can't you just use existing connections on the media center, fuses etc? All it should take is some basic wiring, the programming is all there in stock.

I saw your other video on backup camera install. I'm having problems installing my backup camera. I checked the voltage on my reverse light switch and I got 10 volts when in off mode. And 11.6 in reverse mode. Is that enough volts to work. I get a no signal on my Kenwood ddx395. Please help
Parts used linked in the description of the video!

Might have been nice to show the actual backup cam point of attachment dont you think?
Appreciate the video, I did this on a 06 Tucson and it was very similar, quite time consuming though.
How long did it take you? I have a 2006 Tucson and want to do the same thing

You will also need this harness to retain the factory camera: amzn.to/3lg2qfe
Did you unplug the YELLOW plug on the center console?

can you still mount this camera to a stock head- unit Tucson without any issues ? also where did you purchase the back up camera ?
I have a question; at some point you decided to use an extension for both the trigger wire and the camera wire, right?

How to connect steering wheel controls
I didn’t see where exactly it was installed at the back
License plate mount camera. Mounts behind the plate to the studs of the plate.
How accurate are the video guide lines since you mounted the camera off center?
Camera was not mounted off center...It was mounted on the license plate location which has been centered from factory.
Can you come and do mines for me lol
Great but way too fast
