My GF has autism, at first when we starting dating online i felt rejected at times whenever I tried to be intimate with her, she would kind of give me loving but distant vibes. Along the way I started to pick up on what made her feel more closer or more distant towards me. Also I did a lot of research as days and weeks went on. I agree on the fixated part, she's into anime/cartoon shows and it bothers me when I'm not the center of attention cause it feels like I matter less but when you actually take the time to enjoy it together, everything else kinda just falls in line and the conversations get better too. This kind of relationship takes a lot of patience, frustrating most of the time but worth it if you can try adapt. Also I let my gf know about my standards/boundaries too and she adapted to it, wasn't easy but she has changed a lot because of it. So that's even better for a loyal relationship. She's really honest too ❤️ I love her more now that she has worked on herself to become a better partner and I have done the same for her too.

I'm glad for the tips, my guy is fixated to me and the first things he encounters.. so I may have the advantage of knowing he'll only have eyes for me, but the hard part is that our families are keeping us apart (maybe because I barge into his issues, when my only intent is to help him through his struggles) he mostly struggles with new encounters and interacting with other people who don't approach him first.

As an autistic woman, I found this to be the most accurate. I love adventure and fun, but like to know what I’m doing ahead of time so I can prepare and plan. Some of that is to do with scheduling and some with sensory issues and if I already had something else planned ( changing plans Inhad my mind set to is difficult). I'm an autistic 33 year old man who is struggling to find someone to date. I have a dating profile on OKCupid and despite 9 years, I've had little success (even after a stale 2 years because of the ongoing pandemic). Despite everything that's well detailed about myself, I didn't include the fact that I'm autistic. When I tell my mom about it, she thinks it's "dishonest" and I should include it. And, she thinks I should date a woman on the spectrum as well which I think is a bad idea. Because of my reaction, she claims I'm biased. It's like dating myself. I don't want a significant other who possibly can't drive or doesn't have a career. I don't know how severe a woman's autism is compared to my own.

It’s only been a little over a month with us, but the struggle is real. He’s so blunt and rather rude at time, very sarcastic, and I’m very sensitive. What a combination lol. I don’t know if it’ll work out, but I sure hope so. I don’t mind the fact he’s on the spectrum at all, I just hope we can adjust to each other, although I feel like I’m doing the majority of the adjustment. It’s hard….. ugh.

But despite all of that hardship I live a happy life. I just prefer making friends with people, not only because of my past but because of the way my generation acts and how many creepy stalker people my age that there are whenever you go to a club here in Minneapolis. My younger sister has had to deal with very creepy dudes at clubs and so have it. The Christian God is the True God and I am going to prove it right now:
God has a Law called the Ten Commandments (Exodus 20). These Laws include do not lie, do not steal, don’t put others gods before Him (Exodus 20)
Have you ever broken any of these Laws? Have you ever told a lie? Have you ever stolen anything? Have you ever lusted after someone? If we really went over God’s Laws in the Bible, every single one of them, it can really expose how much of a sinner we truly are and because we have all committed these acts our punishment is Hell because God’s standard is perfection.
Our good works cannot get us into Heaven. That’s like you steal a soda from the store but you tell the judge, “hey judge I give to the orphanage, I do community service.” The judge will not care about what you did. You stole something that was not yours so therefore the Judge is going to find you guilty. God is the same way.
But, this Judge is a loving Judge who does not want to sentence you for your crimes. He sent His Son Jesus Christ to come and take the punishment for your sins and if you Repent of your sins and accept jesus Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior then you will be saved from the sentence. Jesus loves you and is not willing that any should perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16) God bless

Then why should we listen to one another if we all have different beliefs, is a belief of acceptance and love not the true God's will? Then shall we drop the "one and only true God" argument? Just don't. They'll abuse you to death. Then move on to the next victim. What is so typical is how ultra fast they move. They talk about marriage from the first date. This is to hide their horrible issues, abusive behaviour, bad family bonds, and crippling anxiety knowing they won't get off the market because of their autism and mental age of 5. My autistic ex apparently got married 7 months after we broke up. In the wedding pic the woman kisses him lovingly and he just grins at the camera like a psycho. After torturing me and claiming to me he needed to be alone, needing a psychiatrist daily and having no money or job, he married someone in just a couple months. I feel so bad for the woman. Being married to this monster is the biggest punishment anyone can get. I'm not jealous. I'm very relieved that he chased me away like a dog. He knew. I wish her lost of courage, but she's Just the next supply.

Sorry to hear that's happened to you.
I cannot express how much I hate domestic abusers, but you're a survivor, you made the right decision to get away.
However, I also say this as an autistic woman, the rest of the generalisations are just hurtful. I happen to have Borderline Personality Disorder on top of this, which makes everything 100x worse. But I didn't choose to be born this way.
No I would never ask someone for marriage on a first date or 2nd or 5th or 10th. I don't even believe in marriage, a social construct, just pure trust and commitment.
I'd never truly move on because my love is eternal and nobody can replace the one that means everything, nobody can ever take their place. Not mentioning at nearly 25 and never having been in a relationship, I'd have no-one to move onto anyway. I simply don't have such options. Society and especially my peers are very superficial, very hedonistic. I'm an introvert who hates crowds, you'll never find me in one of those nasty loud places that clubs and bars are. I work full time and had my current job over a year now - I cannot imagine not working.
Autism is a spectrum, and you get selfish arrogant nutcases like your ex, but surely some of us actually deserve better....no?

thats just your ex being a terrible person... a lot of people with Autism arent like that!

your ex is a narcissist. a lot of autistic people arent like that and I feel uncomfortable knowing you see it all in one view due to that singular person who just so happened to have autism. I'm not saying what you experienced was Invalid, no. the opposite actually. I just think it's really cruel to say all people are the same way. If I said that about you and said "ALL WOMEN ARE LIKE whatever your name is" you'd be upset, and not like that. I really hope you see my point and Again, I'm sorry you've experienced that.
