I do have plans for lake fishing in taupo and a local lake called tutira. I did actually fish taupo over christmas but couldn't hook a fish to save myself!
haha XD damn thats rough. trouts no doubt a tricky fish but its more harder to find a good place to fish due to regulations n private lands. what method did u use at taupo?
Hey, Nice video i'm new to Kayak fishing and found loads of useful information from it. One questions do you connect the anchor trolley to the winder itself or the rope? also what stops the winder from unwinding when it's in the water? Thanks
I will probably do a seperate anchoring video when i get out on the water. But to explain it now. 1. Drop the anchor to the bottom, 2. as soon as it touches down i attach the buoy which has a non slip shark clip 3. i let 5-10m out 4. the rope attaches to my pulley system through another shark clip. 5. i then slide it to the rear of the yak which will keep my nose opposite to the wind. The winder can sit in the kayak or in the water because there is a clip which make it unable to slide . The winder also floats so when its in the water it just doesn't undo itself. This is also true when dropping anchor to chase a fish.

Come hit the rotorua lakes. Love the vids mate.
Do you leave your setup complete during travel or do you dissemble and reassemble at the beach? Roof racks? Nice video btw :D
A lot of it is on like the battery , seat , holders , chill-pod. But the majority go on at the launch. I have racks on my trailer.

You need to sort your audio out mate. Use a mike or something. Otherwise good info.
