- New Citroen C6 in-depth Walkaround
The Citroën C6 is a luxurious executive car that is manufactured by the French automaker Citroën. Under its hood lies a turbocharged petrol engine that is produced by PSA. The engine is a straight 4-cylinder type, with a capacity of 1.8 liters or 1751 cc (106.853 cubic inches). It has a bore and stroke of 77.5 x 92.8 mm (3.05 x 3.65 inches), and a bore/stroke ratio of 0.84. The valve gear is a double overhead camshaft (DOHC) with four valves per cylinder, making a total of 16 valves.
The engine is capable of producing a maximum power output of 211 PS (208 bhp) (155 kW) at 5500 rpm and a maximum torque of 300 Nm (221 ft·lb) (30.6 kgm) at 1900-4500 rpm. Its specific output is 88.6 kW/liter, 120.4 ps/liter, 118.8 bhp/liter, and 1.95 bhp/cu in, while its specific torque is 171.33 Nm/liter and 2.07 ft·lb/cu3. The engine is wet sumped and has a compression ratio of EFI fuel system. Its BMEP (Brake Mean Effective Pressure) is 2153 kPa (312.3 psi), and it has five crankshaft bearings. The engine is water-cooled and has a unitary capacity of 437.75 ccs with a TurboWheelbase.
The Citroën C6 has a wheelbase of 114.2 inches (2,901 mm), a length of 193.2 inches (4,907 mm), a width of 73.2 inches (1,859 mm), and a height of 57.6 inches (1,463 mm). Its curb weight ranges from 4,007 to 4,125 pounds (1,818 to 1,871 kg).

yeah, i was hoping to say that the chinese make dreams come true even for people who like to design citroens, but as we eventually got around to seeing the thing, i realised that it's within strict bounds. i'd cry too if citroen hadn't already sold out a long time ago. we've had many in the family too. hey at least they're still alive. and if volvo's story is anything to go by, this presents and opportunity to eventually escape. but thank god for the burgeoning middle class anyway :)

Franchement je trouve qu’elle ne mérite pas le nom C6,car pour moi l’ancienne C6 est la plus belle au monde.Citroën devrait faire un peu la copie collé de l’ancienne C6,quand je regarde le look de l’ancienne.Elle est très jolie à voir.
Je la trouve belle (pour une c5 pas une c6) sauf au niveau de la face avant qui n'est pas fidèle au code stylistique de la marque.
Mais bref elle est destinée au marché chinois et ça reste une question de goût.

Consider the last C6, the XM, the CX, and the DS, they could only be made by Citroen. With the badges and double chevrons removed, the only part of this car's appearance which would point to Citroen is the concave rear window. Which I find very sad☹

Pretty nice looking sedan. It kind of reminded me of what was my 2011 Mercury Milan when I used to have a little bit over 6 years ago. That car was nice to drive in.
The materials sound very cheap and not refined. On the outside you can see it's basically a stretched Peugeot 508. The original C6 was a legendary classic car. This car can't stand in its shadow.

when will citreon ever realise that makeing a new version of the original DS will make them world leaders again .instead their cars doin't stand out from the crowd they just blend in amounst the same shaped same same gray looking cars .the DS sold 50.000 cars before lunch because it was spectacular .

I had no idea a new generation of C6 is out. This looks much better, but is it as good as the last one? Does it have the hydropneumatic suspension? That's a signature of Citroen
No. It's only for the chineese market. It's not offered in Europe, and it's basically a very boring sedan as it stands. Nothing inovative, no hydropneumatic suspension, no big engines.
Faltaria una muestra o teste drive, prestaciones, consumos, distncias de frenado, capacidad del baul y motor, que tipo es cuanta cilindrada si es diesel o nafta , cuantos caballos de fuerza tiene, si tienen turbo o no, si la caja es secuencial, triptronic o CVT, fabricado en FRANCIA o CHINA, y despues los detalles de confort habaldo y mostrado, el video deja mucho que desear, de una marca emblematica como CITROEN C6

Some materials look really nice, some materials look really cheap.
Overall exterior has a nice sedan style, especially the rear of the car I think

Es gibt scheinbar raffinierte Neuerungen, besonders die Instrumente gefallen mir gut aber im ganzen hat doch das ganze Ambiente sehr gelitten. Auch die Karosserie wirkt angepasst und mainstream. Für meinen Geschmack auch zuviel Plastik im Innenraum. Schade drum. Das hätte man besser machen können.
El volante no se regula eléctricamente, de ahí en adelante todas son diferencias abismales en comparación con el viejo C6, q lástima q Citroen renunció a ese camino de diseño de vanguardia.

This Citroën C6 is just for the Chinese market and by the way, it is produced in China.
So that's why the noisy cheap plastic trim noise is there.

This C 6 is built by Stellantis (PSA's successor) in China for the Chinese market. It is not exported to Europe!
The successor to the European C 6 is the DS 9 from DS Automobiles (a Stellantis subsidiary), which is also built in China and, unlike the C 6 mentioned above, is exported to Europe.
And to clarify which brands all belong to Stellantis: Peugeot, Citroen, DS Automobiles, Opel and Fiat/Chrysler with its companies Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Lancia, Maserati, Ram Trucks, Dodge, Mopar and Jeep, as well as Ferrari ( to 90 percent).

they still sell this in China? I thought it "died-out"years ago.... they really had no luck with their Chinese model range... they went from failure to failure 😒, which is really sad for such an iconic brand as Citroën!

because, it's nearly 8 years since it was presented and over 10 years since it was conceived.... and had to be more Dongfeng (Fengshen A9) than Citroën...

most midsized sedans have the same hood and short truck look nowadays.
for examples look at the hyundai sonata, chevrolet Malibu, the honda accord or the new toyota crown (the last one by height is closer to a crossover).
the design looks good. wish they had these stateside.
That's what I like about it.
It is the Chinese version, actually in Europe, Citroen cars are completely different, this one for the Chinese market is clearly an old model with new esthetics. Look at Citroen in Europe it’s clearly not the same 😉

Surprisingly for me as a huge Citroen fan, enterior of this car leaves impression of shamely low quality. A lot of cheapest plastics and lousy finish.

I had a C5 X7 for 12 years and all that time I was very happy about it. It was still in good condition but another car crashed to us. Our car was too damaged to repair as the rear axle and who knows what was broken. Engine, interior etc was still in good condition. I really liked the interior, especially the seats. Really comfortable on even the longest journeys.
This C6 looks very much like the C5 X7 that I had. Conservative and stylish sedan. Concave rear window is a nice touch. Current C5X is really wild compared to this. I just don't really like the grille on new C6. Its of the current styling in the lineup and I just can't make myself to like it, at least not yet ;)
Wie verwechselbar und belanglos -! ID, Ami 6, DS, SM, CX, GS, XM - und natürlich der "alte" C6 sind mit ihrem Design zu Ikonen geworden und haben bis heute ihre zeitlose Gültigkeit behalten. Das Design dieses C6 ist ganz nett, mehr aber leider definitiv nicht! Schade -!

I haven't got a copyright on this yet so I'm hoping Citroen don't pinch it and use it in their global marketing campaign, but I'm thinking, "Citroen, styled for 90 year-olds"
En esencia, es un CITROEN, no esos platillos, llenos de colores, que ahora hacen. Me parece por el tacto los plasticos, son muy ordinarios, ásperos y duros !

This new c6 does look abit dated, very plastic with quite dated looking buttons and switches, the dashboard is getting on abit and of course like every new car these days it has the usual big screen! If this car was launched say 10 to 15years ago it would look great

Ça fait tellement cheap.... Heureusement qu'on ne verra pas cette chose en France, je crois que Citroën se ferait insulter...matériaux immondes, design horrible, finition d'un autre âge...je ne suis même pas persuadé que ça ait du succès en chine vu la montée en qualité des modèles chinois actuels!
