Just started in a Workshop, and the guys got one of this. Man, I will spend some time on it, it doesn't even cut straight, the blade goes everywhere. The cut kinda follows the grain line until it can't flex anymore. The cut line varies between 6 mm in some areas, I think it is too much. Lets find out.
Just hit the order on one of these machines, the ease it cut that oak, looking very positive compared to my current machine. Have you cut any kiln dried Douglas fir on this machine?
@@ManorWood yes absolutely! I rarely do curved work, mostly just ripping stock for joinery, I just want a good reliable rip blade. I’m going to try the tuff saw fast rip ones the felder chap suggested see how they go.
Hello from Romania. My name is Marius and I'm expecting a FB 710 Felder Bandsaw. I was curious if the Hakansson blades are better quality/price than those offered by Felder? (Obviouslly it's the husband).
That first blade the Hakansson Citu , looked at it on justbandsawblades.co.uk and it says its for fish and meat cutting . is this right, sorry if this is stupid as im new to bandsaws
Hard to tell from a video but yes. There is a rhythmic knock during the cuts with that blade which usually is caused by the welded ends not aligning properly - the discontinuity is usually easy to see or feel and whacks the wood or guides as it goes through. A smooth weld but which puts the teeth out of phase can also do it.
Hello! In the meantime, you may already have a bandsaw or a circular saw. A circular saw is much more important than a bandsaw. You can do more with it.

Not DF , but most other types .. just need a good sharp blade . And never cut a curve with a blade you want to cut straight with !

Felder blade are good quality, but they do not make meat and fish style blade like hakanasson which has almost zero kerf..
