Did anyone else notice the 3D World style in a box that said "Extra Styles"? Does that mean that they're adding other styles like SMB2 or Super Mario Land?

It's a race type platformer. It's going to run like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe so you really shouldn't be worried. All of the courses are downloadable and can be played offline anyways.

The game you're thinking of at 17:10 is The Mysterious Murasame Castle, the original game for the character Takamaru from the Famicom Disk System (Japanese NES equivalent). It's referenced a few places like NintendoLand, Smash Bros (Takamaru assist trophy) and subtly in a LOT of other Nintendo titles.

Honestly, 90% of that stuff has NO reason to be exclusive to the 3D World theme. So much stuff that would be great to use, but I really don't like having to design everything around walljumps.
I didn't understand a thing. In order to play in coop/versus mode or whatever, do we need an other switch to be able to play or is it possible to do it with one switch and 4 controllers in local ?
You can play locally in the same room with the controllers, setup a room and only the maker needs online I think. And also just online in general not in the same place too
Basically, each player needs both their own console and a copy of SMM2, but only Player 1 needs online, the other 3 players just join Player 1's room with local wireless
This is because SMM2 doesn't use one camera for all players, each player has their own camera on their console (if you need examples, it's more like New SMB DS's versus mode, and not New SMB Wii/U's multiplayer)

I found out, that you can actually play up to 4 players on the same switch. Didn't you know? Try going into the page for Super Mario Maker 2 in the nintendo switch e-shop, and look at the number of players. It says 4. Nintendo sure want to have their secrets.
That doesn't confirm anything.
DS/3DS games are listed with 1-4 players on their boxes, yet you don't use the same console for all players, each player has their own.

Honestly, it would make more sense to only require the online membership in multiplayer online, and not in just regular gameplay. Because if you don't have a memebership (like me), the only thing you can do is make, and not play... :/
