    Awesome video, Kyle! Music & certain locations can be a trigger for a lot of people; at least in my experience. I truly appreciate all of your videos & I’m still affected by TJ’s appearance on your channel the other day!! 💜

    When I have those situations, now I recognize that triggers, and stop it fades away with a little time.

      Great point Danny the triggers get weaker and weaker the longer we abstain I believe

    There are places I cant drive by on the way home from work as immediate trigger

      I know that feeling. The good part is you know that and can avoid them.

      It’s good to know your triggers that way you can avoid them… imagine not being aware of what triggers you then having no one to call as a support system… my sobriety has been a struggle for me especially cause I hide it from my family because they are so judgmental

    I guess I got lucky......or blessed that I made it through my triggers and did not allow myself a relapse. I guess I was so driven to succeed in recovery. My drug experiences weren't very fun to begin with. I don't miss any of it.

    • @Soberdogs
      @Soberdogs  2 года назад +2

      Good for you. You didn't enjoy any of your using time? thats unique I know at the end almost everyone hates it but the beginning most people say they had fun to some extent.

      @@Soberdogs I began using after an old back injury got worse and my doctor could offer no other relief than a scrip of vicodin. At the time I was very anti drug and I was very naive. I knew nothing of what I was getting myself into. Ten months into it I ran out for the first time and experienced detox. That scared me to the point where I didn't want to stop taking the vicodin. My pain management doctor would prescribe me 4 to 5 different pain meds per month so my insurance would pay for it all. He was operating a pill mill. He's doing 13 years in the pen for it. The rest is history. I liked being high because it made everything I was going through seem to go away. I was delaying the inevitable of course.
