Wow! Congrats for that well done job :) I guess that car had to be suffering really extreme environmental conditions. I've been driving Audis A8 and S8 D2's for more than 14 years, but the leather and plastic parts didn´t have a single crack after more than 300.000km on each one... Just the doors and roof liners were bubling/detaching in my first A8 as yours were, that is really common with heat and humidity. Regards from Spain!

SALUDOS compañero yo también soy de España y la verdad es que llevo unos 12 o 13 años con el mismo audi a8 d2. En mi caso un 2.8 con más de 410.000km y está intacto y como nuevo. Los asientos están en perfectas condiciones sin rajas y apenas se le nota el uso en ellos. Ahora mismo le hecho la distribución te puedo asegurar que sigue andan al 100% como lo hacía antes. @@germany-cars6058 Aquí desde 2007 tuvimos un 3.3Tdi del 2001 y en 2019 lo cambiamos por un S8. Saludos

How to fix Airbag issues?

You need a Vagcom to check where the issue come from. It's quite common to be problems related with the presence sensor of the co-driver seat. It can be bypassed with a resistor if the sensor is broken, although the airbags are going to be deployed full power in case of crash with co-driver or not.
