BTW, if you watch any old videos of German field repairs on their tanks, they used a variety of methods for lifting motors/transmission assembly's and gun change outs. If a tank recovery vehicle wasn't around, they used cable and chain along with a steel frame, all powered by another tank.

Most of the Jagdpanzer 38t we see today are those old Czech G-13 series made for the Swiss army post WW2. Most were made to look like the real German made ones. This one is maybe one of the original ones....maybe. And yes, the Jagdpanzer 38t was never officially named the Hetzer by the Germans.....just Jagdpanzer 38t.

I actually have some experience with s hetzer, I got to ride one in 2014 in Holland at the Overloon museum. The hetzer is very loud when inside but other than that it was a smooth ride
I absolutely love the short episode I really want to see more combat dealers on the channel and even though I like the tanks and vehicles, I would like to see Bruce deal more with smaller items like bayonets and rifles and other items that the rest of us can actually afford. LoL

The hetzer is kinda expensive tho $90 Aus for a ride but totally worth it for me when i did it

The Farmer refused to sell , saying his roof would fall down . If it is the same one , they must have come to some sort of an arrangement , i.e. cash .

Sorry, but anyone who spends enough money to have two full-time mechanics restore a very niche historical German/Czech WW2 armoured vehicle that they already own would know how to pronounce "Jagdpanzer" correctly. Who really owns it?
This vehicle was owned before Bruce by a German chap for 10 years after it was retired from the Swiss Army in the 70's . It was originally a G 13. It lives in Cairns, North Queensland these days. The AAAM is a World class museum, well worth visiting if you're ever in this part of the World.
I am pretty sure that we have one hetzer in Poland that was salvaged from the Baltic sea. Dunno if it's working but I am pretty sure it was undergoing restoration process.

We have these confirmed 38ts still in running condition Fahrgestell number 32136 @ Arsenalen Tank Museum, Fahrgestell number 323910 or 323010 (to be confirmed) @ Bruce Compton Collection, Fahrgestell number 322973 @ Kubinka Tank Museum, Fahrgestell Number 323437 @ Australian Armour and Artillery Museum, there were a couple more but those have now been confirmed to be G-13s.
4:45 It wasn't all done at the factory at all. When the tanks were done and assigned to whatever division or Schwere Panzer Abteilung, the crew would then paint their tank according to the environment. So they wouldn't paint the tanks in the factory that is complete and utter BS!
The camo pattern was sprayed on in the field by the crew, maintenance company, or corp maintenance depot... This provided a soft-edge pattern, not like hard-edge brushed-on cammo seen on most restorations. What a shame to spend all of that time and money on the mechanical restoration only to apply an inaccurate paint job...
Yeah I know a working hetzer in the US and I know it's a remodel because the guy got it in Germany after it was found. And it works, besides the fact it's used in reenactment so you can't shoot and actual shell
I love the Hetzer, it's a cute and deadly tonk. Its armor is also pretty good and can even protect it from the American 76mm and even the Russian 85mm sometimes. You can play this tank in warthunder, it's fairly decent in warthunder too.
