The secret to dealing with your treacherous Trustees/paid Public-servants is just two words….CONDITIONAL acceptance. Would it not be best to be the polite BUSINESS-man….NOT the victim.
Well, in point of fact, it did not appear to be a "crime scene" so much as an accident scene. I also noticed that there was a middke aged woman standing int their purported "crime acene" that they gave no interest to. Only to the guy with the camera.
That was a good stance. The cops were exposed. The auditor got them to put the tape up for an investigation. He did not go to jail. Great exposure. Great job.
I’m in Santa Clarita right now and did a couple of audits yesterday of the City Hall, and the library and post office and overall it seems like they’re educated, even though they don’t like it
The cop can direct you to move without tape. When they ask you to move do so. Even if you think its not right. You can go to the department and submit a complaint later. Otherwise you do more harm, than good. Remember, legislators will always back the police since they are their personal guards..

It is a camera. I am a retired IT guy so let me help the ignorant among us. Capturing a digital image of someone does not steal their sole or physically harm them and is not harrassment. If something is happening in public it is happening in public. Lets grow up. LEOs have a knee jerk reaction everytime they see a camera at a scene. 20 people can be standing around and they see one guy using their phone camera and freak out. Yes you can give the human decency speech to make yourself feel like a saint but public is public and if you don't like being recorded stay at home.

Geared up Swat officers let me kick it with them for a like 2 hours untill they told me it was no longer safe and they set up the tape. It was literally a armed standoff 😂 happened in las vegas. I watched the entire thing outside the tape, one of the officers even gave me a business card, and asked me to join the department. Those cops in this video arent very versed in constitutional rights.

For a start..interfering in a police investigation is verbal as well as physical. It is not essential for police to put up tape to create a crime scene. As long as you film at the distance required by the police just as professional journalists do, you are within your right to film. Calling out to either the police or the those being questioned is interference.

Please explain to me how silently standing on a public sidewalk is interfering with ANYTHING those cops need to do in order to conduct their investigation. The reason they're butthurt is because of the camera he's holding. Cops hate cameras because cameras expose them for the criminals they really are. Cameras end cops careers. Cameras put cops behind bars. Cops hate cameras, and they hate anyone they see holding one.
Interfering as well as obstruction as sure as hell physical acts. He's on a public sidewalk and the US Supreme Court has already ruled cops CANNOT dictate how far back someone has to be.
