If she's not a cop she should have a vest that says volunteer or something not police. They're technically allowing her to impersonate a police officer which is a crime. You should've let them arrest you that would've been a lawsuit.
Stopping sober drivers, people not drinking and driving, does not regulate drunk drivers. It doesn't stop drunk driving. The purpose of these checkpoints is to condition people to accept tyranny.
I would FOIA how many drivers were stopped versus how many DUI arrests were made and figure out the cost per arrest for DUI. Typically, less than 3% of drivers stopped at these so-called checkpoints get a DUI charge. It is MUCH more efficient to just do increased patrols.
The sober, authorized driver should know, and insist, his or her Constitution doesn't end where one of these begins.. NO obligation to answer questions..And given the reputation for "creativity" California law enforcement has for "creativity",, any contact should be video recorded.
In some places, they can only stop a certain amount of cars at a time and then they have to have so much time in between the stops in some places they have to stop all cars coming down that street and in some cases they can just stop whoever they want to in that junction of area

Yeah man I feel that but I live out of my car, if I risk an arrest I could lose everything… they could impound my vehicle… and i can’t afford no attorney so I’d be screwing myself over, but at the very least I can bring attention to this city and hopefully a real auditor who show up to take on their unlawful requests ✌️ stay safe out there and defend your freedom
