"oh its just a shark" 💀this is how you know he is from australia lol
I think the accent made it obvious 😂
Yeah. In America we have to worry about getting shot. Humans in America are more dangerous than any animal. Try camping out in the west side of Chicago.
@@santiagoj516 no shit
"no worries, mate"
the look on his face while eating that raw fish head was priceless.
You was pretending is bullshit, you
' settle down Mate ' whilst poking him with a spear....😆
😂
Not sure if you've read "117 days adrift," by Maurice and Marilyn Bailey, but most of their rehydration came from fish and/or turtle blood. Any fish they caught, was bled and they drank the blood. They also sucked the fish eyes. General rule of thumb is, if it bleeds, you have a source of rehydration. Not much, but every bit helps. The Baileys had a post incidence assessment, and generally speaking, their bodies were ok, and all bits were functioning normally. Thank you for sharing. Take care.
That’s awesome information. Problem with this is that there is a boat nearby with food and water. Changes everything when you can make a call
middle finger
@@TheFloridian5 not really a problem. He was able to give a basic understanding on survival. In that particular location. However in a real case, you cannot "forget" about your fish you've caught, and let the sharks get it. It was important to show his viewing audience the basics of survival. For the purpose of the exercise, not catching and drinking the blood, could have been a bad mistake. Yes as you say there would have been help available, out of camera shot, with available water etc. Thank you for your response to my comment.
fish and turtle blood would dehydrate you more then rehydrate you due to the high conten of salt in it
This is entrainment and filming what looks cool. This is the OPPOSITE of what ud want to do in real survival. I love his videos but this should absolutely NOT be followed in real survival. Spending all day playing around getting dehydrated while hunting for food while you have zero water? His first 2-3 days should have zero focus on food until there's water secured and hot days spent trying to minimize sweating and dehydration. Again, this is just entertainment for people who will never see an island like this in their life. Great filming M8!
I might be across the globe (FL, USA) but it doesn’t stop me from experiencing these challenges through your channel. Thanks for the great educational content
I did 21 days in the Everglades. Zero desire to ever go back 😂. Florida is legit a terrifying wildlife place. Everything kills you bites you stings you etc on par with Australia for creepy critters. Those Everglades was a challenge I’ll never ever repeat. I did 40 in Botswana - felt much safer in Africa for some reason .
more night shots would be great :D as someone who has only lived in the city who really cant see much of the stars, I can only imagine how bright and many they are when looking at them from isolated islands/places like this without light pollution.
The last thing you do is tell a crab you need him for food, He's never going to want to go with you then. LOL
Hahaha 😅 funny 🤣🤣
You stepping right over top a snake to chase that little stingray had me freaking out.
Now here’s something fun: When you, Jack, are with Fran the two of you are busily interacting intensively with each other. When you are doing one of these survival adventures, other aspects of your personality reveals themselves. While you are always pleasant, these solo adventures allow your sense of humor to come dramatically forward - you’re as charming as usual, but solo really shows how clever and humorous you are.
This isn’t a negative comment on Fran, she’s lovely and charming in her own way. It is cool to have your narrative shared between just yourself and the camera.
Thanks for your videos, they are grand. Cheers …
With baitfish, they blindly swim head first in the direction opposite of the slightest movement. Use that to your advantage. Stand still, throw a rock just to the other side of the school, and then use some sort of bucket or bottle or hat to quickly scoop the water when they inevitably come barreling toward you.
damn. Im glad the island survived
Excellent work Jack. Quite educational. Thanks!
I would've thought you could start a fire with the bottles you found. Using them as a magnifying glass.
I also thought of that. The base of one of the glass bottles would then be used to light a fire. I just don't understand why people don't have a compass/magnifying glass/reflecting mirror combo type instrument can take on boats just in case.
@@hankakah4180 or a firesteel?
it's just a shark, I thought it was a croc there.
I was thinking the same thing, fella lol.
Not hardly but I feel u
@@MGeezydaWarrior meh u know what I mean don't need to play scarface 🤣🤣🤣
Brothers, are you guys forgetting that the shark can't come out the "wadd-da" like the crocodile can??😮Will chase ya all day and night on the island.😅😂😊
Amusing video, but I hope nobody takes survival advise from this. Food is the lowest priority in a survival situation. Water is always first, so nearly passing out without any, but choosing to hunt more when you already have food, is plain dangerous and a bad example.
Facts. Although "amusing" sounds backhanded, it's still thoroughly entertaining.
Oh wow, you know everything about everything. Please show us all your survival videos ?
Water is easy to get because everywhere is water and yes it can pe purified by heat but food in these islands are the first priority
Sounds like you’d starve 😂😂
@@TopSeriesEdits Is that why he even admitted to nearly passing out with heat exhaustion? You know, heat exhaustion that wouldn't have been a problem if he had water.
Hey just wanted to give you a tip, try digging holes in a straight line just before the wet sand ends going towards the dry sand and wait a few hours atleast three and you should have clean water but if it's still salty dig more holes in the same line
- Cannot wait to see this.
maybe you should invest in a mesh steel hand guard for knives so you don't get seriously injured? If they severed the right vein, I'm not sure if rescue would make it on time, IDK, be safe!
Absolutely love this channel mate!! I've been binge watching all weekend !! Im a sucker for anything survival related, keep up the excellent work!!! Cheers from the USA!!!
- 12:27 .. I would've snagged that stingray. I mean, I could eat several of those crabs alone with corn && potatoes && Cajun seasoning. So, yah deff *need* much more food my friend.
Hell of a show Jack !! Tks !
thoroughly enjoyed this.
It's really scary when you are stranded alone and get lightheaded. If you pass out, there's no one to help you out. The lack of shade on that island is really rough during hot times, you needed to make some sort of shade. A good thing to do is make a trench in the dirt and cover it with leafy branches. Being down in the earth will be cooler just naturally, so you just have to block the sun.
and there where even green branches everywhere..
How would this work in the artic.. plentyfull of freshwater but with a knife and spear.. I would constructed a bow..and have firesteel with me :)
Great video mate really enjoy your survival videos and how you teached us to get fresh water cheers
thanks Jack- i really enjoyed this episode- more like it-especially with some Australian survival stories would be awesome- loved the distillation this episode-yehh science Mr White...
This was so educational. Thank you. This videos valuable knowledge could save your life. (Larry, Colorado USA)
Next time your catching a mud crab try throwing a handfull of mud in there eyes that way they can't see you coming it makes it a lot easier
Nature is so pretty there! Greating from the Netherlands an reminder to explore more of the world :) al the food looks so good to inpressive!
Love your videos! Such a positive outlook on life and having fun while doing it. So cool.
I'm so glad you have used distillation... I keep thinking its the obvious solution
New to the channel and absolutely hooked, keep doing u man ur smashing it
These are exciting episodes. Thankyou.
Another great video! Thank you!
We always carry a plastic bag with use to harvest water from tree's .in case we get lost.there was a blue bucket with you it would have been a good idea for you to use the bucket to put at least the crabs in to stay fresh so you don't get food poisoning you do have some interesting ideas.
Great. Idea! Can’t wait for the next part. 😊 cheers from Birmingham Alabama USA 😊
Cheers from Birmingham England

Thanks, B2B.
Watching a survival challenge whilst living my own on the hard shoulder of English motorway 😂
❤love the sunglasses. Any body knows what those are?
Was thinking the same thing. Would like to do where to get them.
Blows my mind how much crushed coral is on that beach.
Hope you have a fun camping trip.
Australia really is a spectacularly beautiful place.
I would get more Night/Star shots.. Everywhere else has so much light pollution you cannot see that much.. Amazing.. MORE STARS!!!! lol
Amazing videos!
Hello from San Diego California USA 🇺🇸 love seeing u guys every Sunday please be safe n wear ZINK HAHAHHA❤❤❤❤❤
Struck you’re an animal. Loving this content. Cheers from Key West Florida
Salty taste around the rim ❤
Fill salt water half way (evaporates faster without overflowing) and make shade for collection bottle :)
Wow so amazing fishing ❤❤😮

He's eaten mud crabs more fearsome than you.
I love your steel, great idea great job and those crabs man. Try dehydrating the salt water to get you some salt to season them with and maybe some butter lol.
Absolutly love this channel id give anything to do what you do its truly inspiring
47:50 bro you were flagging. Well done on the still.
I definitely recognized those water bottles, SCORE!
5:32 Hey that thing looks just like a claw. Wonder where you found it. Lovely video btw mate!
Its literally crazy how many times he keeps saying he needs water and then doesn nothing to make it happen, just keeps hunting. Water is always your number one priority. Always.
He says he wants to try and see how much time he can go without water, thats why he doesnt make it happen
Not me man! LOL Thank you
Wow!! Lucky!
I've been pondering about a bushcraft still for a while now, n the major challenge has always been the condenser (the cooling pipe). Always thought you would have to be very lucky to find enough metal pipe to make it work. I've done a few experiments, and it takes a few metres to radiative cool steam. But using wet bamboo to evaporavely cool, very nice solution. File that one away in the "hope I never need to use, but glad to know" pile
The survival episodes with backstories are the best ones
He’s full of bullshit
@@petrulup-st6mkwhy are you a miserable prick? Just move along tough guy
Surprise! It's actually Fish and Game and they're going to cite you for using a spear on the island! LOL. JK. Thank you for the tips. It's quite surprising to know there could be fresh water in bottles along the beach!
Stranded on a deserted island with a phone 🤳 and charger 🤔
its not a phone, its two go pros with a bag of batteries and a survival walkie talkie, he shows it alm every video
The green bottle that has the VFresh label must have been washed from Solomon Islands to that Island you are on....
Im addicted to your video’s
10:46 nice !!!!!!! 👌
you could probably rub some seawater on yourself to cool off easier and reduce water loss to sweat, but it might leave salt on you. Not sure.
Also that bottle with the cap is a pretty cool looking bottle.
Wahhh..!! Cool 👍🏾👍🏾
This is a hard place to be, been there!
I've waited too long greetings from Indonesia
It's not hard to gauge their reach underwater when you pin them down with the spear in your hand.
4:14 top left you can see Asian man squinting in the clouds 😂
at 12:34 theres a snake near his feet at the waters edge o.o
I don't see you carrying any of your catches?
Here in America it’s been 4 days of celebration of 248 years free🇺🇸 your videos are great beautiful places
Mangrove Snapper are good eating for sure, I catch them all the time in Florida.
Jack, that was some world class fire starting skills you presented. The still was an excellent touch for water in such a desolate place.
Here's a VERY old school trick from the Appalachian mountains here in the US I learned from a great, great uncle for smoking meat, but applied to this situation it will work equally well...
Dig a hole to start your fire in, it will protect it from wind and make your firewood last longer. Bury your bamboo and cover it at an angle into the ground. Dig a hole for your collection bottle, and leave it open. If you can get your bamboo about 2 feet or .75 meters under ground your still will stay cool from the ground insulation, and be much more efficient and resistant to wind.
Hello from England 🎉
Another excellent episode!! Keep it coming - love watching your videos!! Btw, what brand is your dark sunglasses! They’re cool!! Thx from NJ USA
So you would have definitely died in that island in a real survival situation bahaha 😂
Man....in this hundred degree Florida heat, I need like a gallon of water a day!
New subscriber here from India. Awsome content...keep it up bro❤❤
Anyone else see the snake under his foot when he got done talking about the crocodile and was walking towards the stingray
What time on the video?
With a spear, aim where the fish *will be,* not where the fish is. Anticipation is key
Need some spear fishing practice lol
that coral 1st one in mangrov looks like amonita muscaria fungi 😂
There’s a knot in the bamboo. How’s it going to go into the other bottle?? Haha
Amazing video man, pls do more of these and how do u keep your shoes dry
❤I’ve come up with a neat recipe for you to try. Batter recipe: Idahoan original mashed potato flakes; little baking powder; salt; flour; and your favorite beer.❤🎉cheers mate❤
Question: Why not cut a few bush tops and use as a bed lining?
Great❤❤❤
