I once camped on an island off Cape Flattery and all night long there were eerie crying noises that sounded like human babies sobbing and wailing for their mums. Quite loud and close too. The hairs on my neck stayed up all night, not knowing what it was. Really disturbing. Found out that it was the sound that baby mutton birds make, which are left on the island, while the parents are out fishing for a few days. Maybe this was the same thing the soldiers heard? Only happens at certain times in the year.
Those where frogs
may be aliens ?😮
Maybe it's a whale and dolphins
Could be baby goats. I was out hunting and we thought we heard a baby crying. We found the goat had to put him to sleep had its back legs broken 2:58
All the deer spontaneously deciding to commit suicide by swimming away from the island is still pretty eery
I’ll tell you base on my own experience when I was in Afghanistan, my squad were to relieve the British soldiers from an OP, Observation Post, in the middle of nowhere. As an American soldiers were worked with the British quite a bit. When we arrived at the OP, all the British soldiers looked like they had went through some of worst fighting all night. They couldn’t wait to leave. They all told us to not stay on the hills but to stay opposite of the OP and just got on their vehicle and drove as fast as they could like something or someone is after them. To make the long story short, that night we sat in this mud compound and we started hearing human figures walking up the hills and we all heard there sounds behind the mud houses. There were 10 soldiers with M-4 rifles and some grenade launchers. I decided to take one of my buddies and to scope out the surrounding areas. Within ten minutes we heard the shooting intensified at the OP, we ran back to the OP, three of men said they saw enemy fighters were walking in the hills toward them and they also heard a Russian language was spoken, they said they tried to radio me and my buddy but we didn’t respond. We told them that we didn’t receive any calls. Me personally don’t believe in supernatural or superstitions stuff. But that night all of us saw something that we’re not humans. Something that made a believer out of us,myself included. I’ve served 12 years in the US Army and I’ve been to some of the most terrifying places around the globe but that area, was the only place that I will remember for the rest of my life that there are things or ghosts or whatever people called are among us. They are dangerous and evil as well.
I smoked a lot of weed in Afghanistan too bro.
Among us lol
A watcher of Mrballen I see...
Are you talking about OP rock?
Cool story bro 😂😂
"Some crabs", bro there were a 100 in your bag 😂
Hey guys, come checkout the new Sailing & Diving Series: ruclips.net/p/PLtJHZztIhg_w1xjFEZIe-8UmVUVfV_FO1
Those crabs were attracted to the oil scent on the soft plastics package
I don't get scared easily but this video gave me the chills . Jack you are one crazy dude 👻
I'm guessing Fran said "nope " to your haunted island adventure? :) I don't blame her! :)
Love ya brother Jack, and beautiful Fran too! Always an immense pleasure watching mate! I'm a huge fan of WWII history!! God bless y'all!! 🙏❤
Maybe the deer got sick of the crabs trying to eat them 😂 definitely a mystery
Enjoying all this content on both channels! 😃👍🐙🦈🐡
Thanks Strick and Fran🤙
This was a really great solo episode, a lot of tension, great editing, all those hermit crabs in your bag in the morning was mental, the way you nailed that fish with the spear first shot was incredible, and the whole 24 hour adventure was wild. You're the deserted island king! Yeeewwww! 🙏🏻
Glad you enjoyed this one Mike! Appreciate your support mate.

Nice episode. Lot of interesting details. Loved Morey Eel going out of water for crabs. Lake in the middle of island - felt spooky crocodile zone.
Nice video of this historical island which looks like nature is in the process of reclaiming. I say this because of the fact that the guns shown are now sitting in water which I don’t think they were when first brought in. The beauty of the coral reef is really fascinating also to see the beautiful live coral striving with lots of different sea life! Amazing! One could only dream of the days when before Money and tourism and corruption took over our once beautiful island of paradise it was this beautiful to.😢 Thank you for showing us that there are still islands out there and islanders that want to keep their island pristine. ❤️🙏
Really enjoyed it! Uninhabited locale, great drift snorkling and the sights. Really enjoyed seeing the large blue clam. Would've been nice to see the big ones (fish) that got away! And.... the drone footage is always awesome (I've got to get one of those). When I was much younger, I'd do this same thing going solo and exploring areas (even if no one else wanted to go), just not like the waters you have available there. Yep, I'd be on or in the water everyday if I could. Very grounding and theraputic, mentally and physically. Well done!
awesome footage seeing a moray eel out ofthe water cathcing crabs never seen this well done
Wow. Beautiful island and a thrilling experience.
Not so much a machine gun, but more likely a 4-inch naval gun. Good episode, thanks.
Just love your videos Thank you! Just love exploring these Awesome Islands with you all! never knew how much you could survive on what nature has in store if you were ever stranded. You certainly know your stuff!! much appreciated Karen from Canada!!!!!🥰🐟🐌🐠👏💯🐾🌴🌿🥥🏝🚤 thanks again!!!!
At the end of this video clip you are flying along the sea bottom, lucky you chose to go back to shore. I so much enjoy watching all the under water scenes, so full of life flying every where.
Greeting from Sydney. Thanks for sharing your vlogs. Good life in the isolated Island, beautiful mate! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2023
i will enjoy watching this on my pc seat leaning back !!! lets go!!
Merry Christmas Strick, that is an interesting island, there seems to be lots of food around, excellent video, to bad you could not have stayed longer
Awesome mate thank you, bloody ripper vid, that coral was so healthy Jacko 🤙🤙
- You must not be too hungry you're letting all of the fish go.
Definitely a reefer kind of night . Great video Jack. Tons of wild life
Reefer madness
indeed
Man! I'm sooo tired of winter here and seeing you in a warm climate makes me ready for spring.
This past week here in southern United States our temps have been 7 degrees Fahrenheit or -13 Celsius with wind chills down to -17 F or -27 C.
Cool adventure! Don’t know if you can eat hermit crabs but you definitely caught enough in your bag to have a feast 😂
enjoy the adventure, enjoy the view...great fishing spot👍
Still here from Great Adventure 1. Loving the journey!
Hi Strick, Judging by the fear the men had i would have no doubt it might have been the deer that frightened them. In those days they would likely have never heard a deer grunt moan & roar. They didn't have youtube & documentaries to hear them & given where most men came from to fight in the second world war they would not have encountered deer. I have large numbers of deer in the 10,000 HA that surrounds my mountain property in the Deongwar State Forest past Esk in QLD. They can make extremely haunting grunts & roars depending on the circumstances, big males always roar coming up to & just past Easter depending on the moon cycle. They are loud & sound like grunting moaning lions calling for miles across the forest in search of their mates for the breeding season. When they encounter other big bucks the roars become regular & intense & when they fight its an absolute rabble of scuffling & roars & you can hear their mighty horns clash like breaking coconuts form a couple of kms away. If they are frightened mostly at night by movement in the forest, both males & females give deep guttural grunts in short bursts. All of these calls would be concerning to people who have never heard them & their imaginations would run wild, especially with battle looming & keeping them on edge, it may have been overwhelming. They also like getting into water up to their shoulders when hot & often swim in my dam. They are very social & if a group can not find water or food for prolonged periods they will cross lengthy water bodies to find a new source. We see extreme examples of this with reindeer hearing. But all deer can swim very long distances.
Great to get a double dose of your fun and adventures.
That was a fun ride. Beauty. Thanks
What an amazing Island!! Could’ve been great if you show us where on the map location wise in all the islands you go to😊🤙 Just saying ✌🏼great vlogs!! Keep on keeping on!! CHEERS!! 🍺🍺🍺
Horsburgh Island, part of the Cocos/Keeling Islands
Great Adventures keep it up. I just want to keep watching all the episodes👍
really beautiful view of the sea, there are various kinds of fish
Oh! that was epic. Such an amazing adventure a bit eerie and scary but overall that was a fun and epic video.
Beautiful island! Awesome video Jack! The overhead drone coverage makes your videos very professional!
That's not a beautiful island. The Human (disg)race has obliterated it, Jeez! It appals me.
We enjoyed this very much, thank you.
Merry Christmas to you and Fran!!
Amazing vid! Definitely paradise! Thanks for sharing!
Looks like a cool adventure, Did you notice the cut stump at the lake you walked past 29:36
Can’t get enough of these studies doing survival,
Amazing Beautiful thanks brother we love ya.
We would get boat going 15 mph and pull drain plug. All water would go out on it's own.
indeed
These bungs screw in from the outside unfortunately. I normally do that aswell, but not worth the risk trying to screw back up from the outside 👍
Another great video
Salam kenal buat semua
wooooo 24hrs look out, so dangerous
We got two Ecoflow River 2s for Christmas for home emergencies, but mainly to take camping. I prefer the Lithium-Ion batteries of the River 2..
Thanks for sharing this epic video of the adventure. Beautiful fish and lots of sea life as well.
strick , you just gave me a great idea , ( how about someone invents a swivel for a trailer that when you go to launch the boat you can swival the boat so that the front end the higher end of the boat hits the water first therefore not swamping the boat ) , just a thought , there has to be people out there much smarter than me that could do such a thing , its the little things that matters ......
Lovely efforts and lucky man to do all this 💞❤️🐳🙆
That Drone seems to have the perfect lure for the birds mate
That swim was epic!
This was a really great solo episode.
Cutest pest ever hermit crabs lol love the clanking noise 😅
What a awesome video. And learning more about your Australian history. Thankyou it's just brilliant ❤️❤️❤️
Oh I need those sunglasses you had on the boat
Looks like it needed a good douching anyways! Some boats have a little plug in the bottom or the back of the boat to let the water out if you're moving!
Love your work
Only just found you . Good vid . Looking forward to seeing more
Hugging that coast line& your incredible underwater camera footage is simply breathtaking.Cheers so much for your expertise
Aloha!🤙Its too bad that the island district or state there does not have volunteers to periodically go out on their own (like in Hawaii) to pick up trash from the beach? Even though the island is remote, maybe a group of people could periodically go out there (now that its known that Turtles nest there rather unsuccessfully)? Could those crazy noises that the Australian soldiers heard have been the ENEMY? (the Japanese Army have been known to do far WORSE tricks in time of war)! Great video!
Good video hope you had a great Christmas and a good New Year’s
Its amazing when an ocean has lot of fish wherever you shot the spears fish is always sure caught.
beautiful video loved
Great adventure 👍
Any info on those sunnies?
The giant clam was the best!
Great content guys love it
Fantastic episode Strik. Not sure I would be able to brave a night alone wirh the history of those ghost stories .
Enjoyed watching this series thank you
Amazing video!
A paradise❤️
I immediately felt different watching your video-I wouldn’t be there by myself lol I appreciate your content I would love to have fun for once. What if you got stranded there? Do you have a satellite phone?
In the US deer get a disease from certain fly and sand fleas causing them to overheat and drown themselves in the surf.
I like the back to basics dry bag ! Nice
Those “Cast Away” sounds will get you every time😂
Awesome episode
Diggers are not spooked that easy, and if the noise was coming from within the island why would they move inland away from the beach. They were probably on the piss and caught out and come up with a story 🤣👍
Hey Strick, love this one. Something very different. Would love to see some of the logistics behind this. Surely you didn’t take that bath tub of a boat from Exmouth to Horsburgh Island? Did you travel from Jakarta? This info would complete the story/video for me and probably many others watching. Hope to hear back from one of the B2B team.👍
I reckon he launched from one of the main islands and went over to Horsburgh.
@craigmcdonald8348 Thank you for identifying the island 23:58. There's a small airstrip on West Island of the Cocos Islands. So that's probably how they got there. But I agree some of the logistics would round out the video/story. Wonder why Jack is so secretive or is it absent minded omission? I'm interested and want to be informed.
G'day mate, glad you enjoyed this one.
I'm working out here on Cocos Islands so took the small boat shown from the main Island across to where I camped.
We don't say the name as the locals are a bit protective and don't want the area blown up on the internet... Fair enough.
Cheers!
Strick
A really great video , thanks for sharing.
You've already had to swim after one boat. That almost didn't end well. Glad this one stayed where it belonged.
Happy Adventure Sir! 🇵🇭
A great video loved it Lordy Scotland uk🐟🎣🏕 🏴🇦🇺
Fantastic videos! Fantastic!
Jack, the guns abandoned in the surf, they're basically triple AAA weapons (Anti Aircraft Artillery) question: Is there any salt water crocs on that Island?.....such and amazingly beautiful place....Mahalo's for sharing bro!
All from Indonesia, every last piece!
Really impressed with the quality of your videos. Thank you for sharing!! Cheers from Aberdeen, South Dakota USA!! 😊
Great videos Bloke 👍
Great upload my dearest friend and stay blessed
was faded asf today for my junior year finals for math and english lol, thanks cartwright
Amazing video I your video ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
visit philippines its more fun here, to enjoy solo camping, at wild and beautiful beach too.
Those look like shore batteries for howitzers or something like that not machine guns.
Getting out of city life to do this the rest of my life the best decision of my life
Questa avventura mi è piaciuta tantissimo GRAZIE di cuore ragazzi , un abbraccio !
Wow ! Fantastic ❤
Envy is a sin but how could you not want to be in this amazing place 😍
Breath taking.
Need to know where those sunnies came from! There sick!
I really like these stripped down episodes where you feature nature The hermit crab population was amazing but you wouldn't use that as click bait. "Hermit Crabs Everywhere". You and Fran make what you are doing educational, inspiring and visually entertaining. Good job.
What happened to Fran?
great solo episode
Its really nice to try it, we have a desert island, everybody can try it
