This is going to be weirdly personal, but I want to share. I’ve been passionate about skin care since I was a young teen, and I’m even studying biology and skin care in college to make a career out of it and help others on their skin care journey. However, I’ve been lacking in my own routine for the past year from depression. Recently, I bought some new products that completely sucked me back in to taking care of myself. Rather than just studying the science behind skin care, I’m applying it once again. I’ve been watching your videos for a while, and I started up again to help me get excited about my routine once more. Thank you so much Renee. ☺️

Thank you for sharing love. When we fall into that hole, the last thing we will do is actually take care of ourselves, or treat ourselves. It doesn’t feel deserved. So proud of you for getting back into your routines even when you don’t feel it. It’s all a ritual of loving and taking care of yourself and you DO deserve it. 💕

Dhc is way to heavy for me, i ilke the lighter cleansing oil like clairs or the nuetrogena, but they do have very small amount of fragrance.

I recently acquired a bottle of the classic cleansing oil by Erno Lazlo--this $58 product was THREE dollars on clearance at Marshall's so I went for it. It's extremely nice. Goes on almost black (!) but sheers out as you use it. Very gentle, no irritation. A light, very old school kind of fragrance, NOT overwhelming or heavy at all. Lazlo was the favorite brand of many vintage movie stars and I can see why. This has become my favorite cleansing oil. My skin is dry and sensitive also, and it leaves me feeling actually hydrated and gently cleansed.

has nothing to do with skincare but can I just say the visual setup of this video is kinda really cool. like instead of just having a camera straight on your face as you look in a mirror, it's like the camera is looking towards the mirror. it's probably just a visual effect and it's not actually taping your reflection but I still appreciate the little detail

You've probably already experimented with this at some point, but I've gotta say- the CosRX snail products were what helped me finally get to regular tretinoin usage, especially the AIO cream. If you ever have irritation popup from the tret when winter gets more brutal, try adding it into the mix!

She meant to say resurfacing. Fermented ingredients produce lactic acid, so even though it’s not a listed ingredient, it will exfoliate the skin gently.

I used the Bader cream for a full month while traveling. I had limited luggage space, and I was in one spot no more than 3 days. The directions actually say to NOT use anything else with it - no serums, no acids, no retinoids, etc. It eliminated my normal multi-step skin care routine. acids, no retinoids, etc. I found it to be OK - no negative reaction - but not a life changer. As a moisturizer only, it's a fairly ridiculous price to pay.

Thank you for sharing such a great routine. I am looking for advice.
I work out daily which causes me to sweat a lot . I am 47 and noticed some visible wrinkles around my eyes in the past year. I do try to drink plenty of fluids before and after work out.
Can you recommend a moisturizer that helps locking the moisture in my face? Many thanks!

Dear Renee , I use Skinceuticals 0.5 Retinol cream twice a week , you mentioned in one of your videos ( I binge watch them ) you find Paulas choice Azelaic acid calm the skin while using retinol , so when should I use it before or after retinol ? Also I have Ordinary niacinamide , how should I use it ( the same nights with azelaic and retinol ? thank you very much 🤗

okay so I'm confused....could you do a video strictly only talking about your copper 1% product? I understand this is an evening skincare routine, so you were explaining how you use it and alternate with Curology, but this is the first time I'm hearing of this product, what is the purpose of it? is it peptides? what is its purpose as an active? I guess I can google it too :)

Hi Renee so glad to see you and hear your voice..it is refreshing and ensures me that my bad skin will eventually turn good
I have dry skin and is it okay for me to use 10% niacinamide serum daily...will it eventually dry my skin as niacinamide reduces sebum
and I wanna use it for my pigmentation issues...
    Thanks in advance

Hi Alice love! I think it depends on the formula - the Paula’s choice one has never dried my skin out. I don’t think it reduces sebum as much as balance out excess! 💕

Is dhc good for acne prone sensitive skin? I'm using retin a at night. But I want a good oil cleanser that will not ruin my skin

Have you tried Muji's cleansing oil? I have very oily and acne prone skin. Super good and simple product.

Have you tried all of the timy products? I’d love a review of the line? I’m curious about the cleansing balm and birch toner and your thought?

Augustinus Bader is so much more powerful than they lead on. I used it with a concentrated pre-procedure peptide serum (Alastin) and had a terrible flare up that lasted for three days. Anyone with sensitive skin proceed with caution. I will try it again on its own.
