    I can definitely confirm the Lexus RX reliability. I've got a 2004 RX330 with over 274,000 miles on it now. It has needed a few repairs, but overall has been so reliable. It's also amazing that the trip odometer controls are in the exact same spot on my car that's 16 model years older. Never change Toyota.

      2016 F15 N55 aren’t those the two most important things normal buyers are looking for though?

    • @mattX5
      @mattX5 5 лет назад +14

      Sean Boyle not at all.
      The whole reason people buy luxury suvs is for performance, practicality and technology. Its by far the slowest car in the class, with an embarrassing 6.9 sec 0-60. Even my 4 year old X5 with only 15 horsepower more can do 0-60 in over second faster. Lexus just doesn’t know how to make good performance engines anymore, every single one of their models lags behind the competition when it comes to performance.
      For practicality, it’s close to the bottom of the class due to the sloping roofline which impedes rear headroom and trunk space.
      And finally, for technology, it’s hilariously behind. Step into a new X5 or GLE, they look like they’re 10 years ahead of this car.

    • @johndoyle3232
      @johndoyle3232 5 лет назад +20

      2016 F15 N55 I agree. If you’re looking for performance, Lexus isn’t obviously your first choice. I mentioned normal buyers though. I’m taking a reliable car that is gonna stay out of the shop over a 0-60 time any day of the week. I don’t plan on racing anyone to work or to the grocery store any time soon, and you shouldn’t either in your 4 year old X5 lol

    • @mattX5
      @mattX5 5 лет назад +23

      MaxSpeed what the hell are you taking about performance? It’s literally the slowest car in its class. Please don’t say stuff like that, you sound incredibly uneducated. The BASE MODEL 2020 Bmw X5 literally does 0-60 in over 2 seconds faster, which is embarrassing.

    • @mattX5
      @mattX5 5 лет назад +10

      Carson D ..and have you owned one? I’m assuming not. I’ve test driven and owned many Audi’s, Mercedes and Lexuses, and I always find the BMWs to have the nicest interiors and the best driving dynamics. I’ve also owned many bmws and have never had any major problems with any of them.

    • @mattX5
      @mattX5 5 лет назад +7

      Carson D I literally test drove an RX, an Audi Q7 and a Mercedes GLE 450 AMG back when I bought my X5. The interior quality in the X5 was better than any of those ones, with soft touch material on the very bottom of the door panel and soft material all over the center tunnel. The same cannot be said about the RX, GLE or Q7. And really, you owned a bmw but you can’t even name what model you had? Interesting. And plus, I didn’t get “lucky”. I’ve owned 3 bmws and have had no problems with any of them.

I've only taken it in for routine maintenance and in my 2 years of owning the vehicle have only experienced ONE technical issue that was really no fault of the vehicle and fixed itself the next time I started the car (one clogged/water covered parking sensor during a very heavy thunderstorm that was giving a false positive, so I just muted the alert sound for that short trip).

    As far as the fuel economy goes, just mention the official EPA ratings the same way you mention the HP and torque. The ratings may not be 100% accurate, but it gives us a ballpark compared to other cars’ ratings.

    • @redlion145
      @redlion145 5 лет назад +1

      Those numbers are shit. They're about as close to accurate as "F sport" is to being fast. Yeah, if you squint your eyes as it passes you on the street, this car looks somewhat quick. And yeah, if you round off the MPG number to the nearest 10 you might get a decent guess at the real world fuel consumption. But nobody needs either of those in a review, because everyone realizes that looking fast is subjective, and MPG depends on so many factors other than the car (city or highway driving, the driver's habits, even brand of fuel used and octane rating) that it's fairly useless to remark on.
