She definitely deserved to be a main character. Last Stand was really the only movie where she got to shine, and she handled her assignment with relative ease.
Well I mean without her, all the Mutants would have had a terrible future so I'd say she got to shine in Days of Future Past. All while she was bleeding out too.

This show has shown the possible abilities that Kitty may had. For the longest time she has been stuck with intangibility but here sending someone's pysche through time would be like sending someone's spirit. As essentially in a way Kitty's powers are those of Ghost/Spirit/intangible in nature. She could have the ability to travel to different planes of existence like the Astral plane, dream world, maybe hell or heaven, diff dimensions through phasing alone. If only writers would give her powers more push.
Technically that is Rachel Summers ability to skip through time. But the movies never introduced her as Jean and Scott's daughter from the Days of Future Past storyline from the comics.

The way she sends someone's consciousness back in time to their younger self in Days of Future Past reminds me of the concept of dreamwalking in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. I want to see her introduced to the MCU because they could play with that parallel in some interesting ways.
Dont think thats a good idea for movies... In comics it will slay... After Mcu screwed up MoM so badly... I dont think they can handel such things.

One thing that annoyed me is that in the scene when she's running with the kid, she puts her hand out first to then realise it isn't going through the wall. Why in the hell did she put her hand out. She has no idea she can't go through the wall with him. She never ever puts her arm out when going through walls before she just runs through them. She should've ran into it and probably broken her nose.
Technically speaking theh were informed the kid was important in the creation of the anti mutant serum. So it was probably as a precaution.

EDIT: saw the missile phase through her and Bobby and yea, that's in a training simulation but still, case in point she kinda didn't have to run from the tranq-darts and could have just stood still letting them phase through her, just saying
obviously tho it doesn't work against those adaptive mutant-hunting drone-bots because they're made to adapt so they'd figure out how to stop her but otherwise, yea, my point stands.
Well her powers are super inconsistent. Like how come when she phases through walls she also doesn't phase through the floor? How come when she did phase through the floor and pop back out the same didn't happen with juggernaut? Either her powers are plot armor or she can selectively phase herself or others through whatever she wants whever she wants at will making her pretty op

@@zato-1766 In the comics she can walk on the air, so I guess she can do that to some extent on the movies to not fall through the floor and to climb back. And people phase through objects only while she is touching them, so she just let go of Juggernaut
In the comics her powers are more consistent and in the x-men evolution her biggest fear was to fall deep into earth and not come back before she can breath again
To think logically, juggernaut should have been disintegrated between atoms of the floor and die with only severed upper body intact lol

Actually mutant abilities don’t manifest until the child has hit puberty, (most of in time) and in Kitty’s case, she didn’t get her powers until middle school and in some versions freshman year. Her mother had a regular birth lol
