9:22 the scene with the train reminds me that time in the comics What Kitty was to phase the bullet aiming to Earth, phasing all though the Earth, according to recent comic when Kitty freed Wolverines for adamantium that covers around the outside of his body, it was explained that order to perfectly free Logan from his “adamantium coffin” she was to concentrate every thing of his body making sure that it won’t rip off part of his body.
Tahj Kurt does once when he is introducing themselves to that pilot in the clip that says this is your weapons system ! That’s it though in the entire series!

Its a little thing, and with cartoon and animation in general it is really hard to scale this. But I love how this show attempted to depict the evolution (pun intended) of their powers. Characters like Shadow Cat and Jean Grey start out phasing through walls and lifting chairs... and by the end of it Kitty can phase an entire airplane through a mountain or phase a train past an oncoming train - and Jean of course is extremely powerful. In Xmen TAS the powers are sort of all over the place (storm uses her powers to put her costume on, Wolverine's healing power is there sometimes and not there other times). But this show I thought scaled up the abilities periodically as the show went on.
One reason it was called "Evolution" was because it was about growth. Growth of their powers and growth of their characters. This was a character driven show, whereas the 90s one was more plot driven.

The inclusion of aliens was overdone too. @@ShadowSonic2 Just look at how both both shows handled Apocalypse. In Evo he's already being foreshadowed in season 2, has a story in full swing in season 3 and is the main antagonist in season 4. The 'plot-driven' TAS only gave him 4 episodes.
I read xmen gold (the new ones) wherein kitty was a field leader, her martial arts with phasing is really scary. She literally phase objects to her enemies, leave them phased to a wall or phased together. There was a scene she was pissed that she went ahead and took out her katana before proceeding to her enemy (she's gonna go all ninja) . Plus she has the dragon lockheed that breathes fire and her genius level intellect that her enemies don't know, she is always being underestimated only for her enemies to find out what she is capable of a little too late.

How It Should Have Ended: The X-Men are approaching the train. Kitty: I'm on it! At that moment Tobey Maguire shows up and he gets in front of the train. Tobey: Oh My God! Oh My God!! Oh My God!!! Kids are coming towards the train!!! They are certainly gonna die!!! I must do something about that!!! He then stops the train with the exact same way he did on Spider-Man 2 and it actually stops exactly near of the car. Tobey: Is everybody all right? Kitty irritantingly: Shut up, you show-offer!

X-Men Evolution introduced me to Kitty Tbh I grew up watching X-Men the Animated Series prior and sadly Kitty never appeared on the show and I read a few of my cousin’s X-Men comics in the late 90’s when I was a kid and at the time Kitty rejoined the X-Men along with Nightcrawler and Colossus, and I would ask my cousin “who’s this chick?” because I didn’t recognize her from the 90’s X-Men cartoon haha Looking back now I feel they could have included Kitty in the 90’s cartoon. They could have done one episode about her being a former member of the X-Men who had gone away for college. The episode would include Wolverine, Storm and Jubilee.

X-Men Evolution introduced me to Kitty Tbh I grew up watching X-Men the Animated Series prior and sadly Kitty never appeared on the show and I read a few of my cousin’s X-Men comics in the late 90’s when I was a kid and at the time Kitty rejoined the X-Men along with Nightcrawler and Colossus, and I would ask my cousin “who’s this chick?” because I didn’t recognize her from the 90’s X-Men cartoon haha
Looking back now I feel they could have included Kitty in the 90’s cartoon. They could have done one episode about her being a former member of the X-Men who had gone away for college. The episode would include Wolverine, Storm and Jubilee.
