These are really rare and precious photos of the grand master when he was young. If possible, wish to see his elder son Yang Sau Chung's photos too. Great thanks.

Yes, great pictures - thanks so much for that!
Interesting to see the back foot orientation.
Not in a 90 degree angle as many practitioners propagate
( missing also the pelvis orientation !)

Yang Chengfu, at this stage had already changed/condensed, the original Yang LuChan form?

Interesting that the back foot is inclined forward - missing in 99% of today's practitioners.

I'm sorry! but I understand that these photographs of Grandmaster Yang Chengfu were taken in the year 1925, said by himself in the year 1932 when he edited his second book.

Thanks for your comment. Many of these photos appeared in a 1925 book. Some people have assumed the photos must have been taken in 1925. That is not the case.
Yang Chengfu made a comment in the Preface of Taijiquan Tiyong Quanshu, saying essentially that "My postures today are better than they were ten years ago." That comment is dated 1933. But the newer photos were not taken in 1933 either.

He suffered badly from gout and made it harder for him to practice I think Central equilibrium practice if you're not careful you can aggravate gout too

Even when he was fat he was very powerful My grandmaster told us a story about Master Yang when he was traveling with him in Southern Canton a man attacked him in a house he turned around and didn't turn body and chop and threw the guy up into the balcony of the house if you ever seen a Chinese house you'll understand Master gang was also adept with dim mak
