This is awesome! As a newer player and complete nerd of plastic and brands I’ve always been excited to try and be sponsored for a team that takes care of their players. Innova always seems great. I know next year I want to ramp up what I do for the community and apply for Innova ambassador!
I’m going to make a video about how to get sponsored soon, so stay tuned. But in short, I applied…but also it’s the value I provide with content creation and community engagement (running leagues, tournaments, etc.) The video I’ll post will go into more detail about how I think folks should go about getting sponsored so make sure you check it out!
Being sponsored is overrated. If you're young, no kids, with no other obligations in life, it might be worth it. Usually big brands want you to play X amount of tournaments a year in order to qualify. My friend who's sponsored by mvp disc has to play 25 to 30 tournaments a year in order to keep a full sponsorship, meaning free disc and free entry fees. Travel, food and all other expenses are out of pocket. My buddy is a 1011 rated pro. Moral of the story, most people aren't getting Paul Mcbeth deals in disc golf. In my situation the sponsorship wouldn't be worth giving up 30 weekends of my life for free plastic and entry fees! I'm married with kids. My buddy over at Bill's flying disc, offered me a sponsorship. I turned it down. All the extra work and obligations I would be required to do, I wouldn't have time for my family, house and so on....
@@discgolflife for many people, getting sponsored is a dream come true. Maybe it isn’t your dream, but that doesn’t make it overrated either. I’m sponsored by a few brands, and none of them require me to play a certain amount of tournaments. Each contract is different so finding the brand and contract that works for you is key!
Was wondering the same. I emailed and asked and they said they won’t even look if you’re not 1,000 rated. I’m sitting at 960 with 1,000 followers on ig 😂😂 it’s hopeless for me
@@mylesofdiscs pre flight number? I wonder if they aren't new Coyotes with old stamps? I'll have to order one and check it out. Thanks for the heads up man.

How did you get to be a part of Team Innova? Are you a professional player or is this like a content creator sponsorship program kinda deal

I love my tl3 I feel like I haven’t seen many people use it
I’ve only ever thrown the TL and it was flippy so I think the TL3 will be a laser beam. Excited to try it out
How does one get this treatment 😭
Gotta get on the team! I’ll have a video out soon about the best ways to get sponsored.
