So what exactly does that rule mean? Because I've seen people on their knees lunge forward when they putt. Any examples?
The rule means whenever you are putting, so inside Circle 1, 33ft or 10m, you must demonstrate full control of balance behind your lie. So, if someone was putting from a knee inside circle one and fall forward, not demonstrating full control of balance behind the lie, that would be a penalty stroke.

I went from years of putting with Rhynos to Aviar P/As a main putter. It was awesome. The Rhyno hid my 'new guy' bad habits. Now it's just for windy days.

No satire in this video. I do make some more comical shorts but for the most part my content is informational for newer players.
Besides using the Rhyno , I did use the Aviar originally but I switched to the Dart and I love the Dart big improvement in my opinion !

Yes, parting line height is the primary factor that determines stability. Since various plastics cool differently, you’ll tend to see a trend in the stability (PLH) by plastic type. Other factors such as weight distribution, which affects gyroscopic stability, and airflow over a particular material of plastic also contribute. With that said, some molds and runs are simply just exceptions to the rule. For example, I’ve found the Eclipse Crave to be less stable than most of the other plastic types that the Crave is offered. That’s almost never the case. One last point, while the overall weight of a disc matters (when significantly different), the PLH is still a much more significant factor.
Great advice! Thanks for sharing. I am by no means an expert but wanted to do some backyard science. I’m curious to get out and do some more testing but obviously PLH is a significant factor here.
Your final piece of advice, “Don’t take ‘no’ personally,” is spot on. Most sponsors have many more people applying for a sponsorship than they sponsorships available. To increase your chances, definitely focus on tips 2 and 3. Those provide more value to sponsors than just being good at disc golf. Bonus: Develop honorable character. Sponsors don’t want to be shown in a negative light because a sponsored player is immature.
Nailed it! Thanks for adding to the conversation. It also depends on what your goals are in the sport. If it’s just to get sponsored maybe think why and definitely focus on 2 and 3. If it’s to become a pro, spend as much time as possible on 1 🤣 but also, start working on your brand. It’s so important in this sport. Being marketable is huge!

@@thenerdgirl1 stiffer is more of a hand feel thing. Personally, I like stiff plastics for when I want more skip or more snap. So, if you think you need that, the. This definitely has it!
@@mylesofdiscs I got their Halo run and it's very stiff but because it's more of a base plastic I'm not sure what to expect as it beats in.

From my experience, Innova goes DX, R-Pro, G-Star, Star, Halo, Champion in terms of least to most-stable. There's also the durability considerations at the bottom-end, since those discs get beaten-up a lot more easily. There are also a lot of other minor factors that make this more of a general guide rather than a law. Edit: I don't include the Blizzard plastic, because the disc is also a lot lighter so that's two major variables in play.
I’m really curious now to compare somethings, like throwing the same discs, same weight, same parting line, but different plastic and see if there are any differences.
