I'm absolutely petrified of spiders. I bought "kill it with fire" like an idiot and only lasted 5 minutes. There's no way I could pick them up with my hands!!! Nope!!
I find it wild how virtual spiders bother people that much (and it is not an uncommon fear). 😮

Phasmophobia gives me chills I get killed by the ghost and it’s kind of cool but I know it’s not real so I don’t truly fear it
If I was making a game about getting people over their fears, I’d lock them down with a straight jacket and just make the fear come to them

I completely relate...I had to empty the little shed the other day and it took me so long because every time I brought something out I had to pause to build up the courage to go back in again. I don't think this is for me.

OMG! The Spider section reminds me of Arachnophobia (based on the movie) on the the Amiga! played that game hundreds of times! this looks like the closest I'll get to a version in VR! cheers for the great video GT.

This game could be good if they kept updating it and adding more scary scenarios to be in, 3 is just not enough to keep people coming back. But I have to say the chill screaming banana you threw was the best thing about this game. 😂
There are 9 challenges with unique gameplay in each challenge. Phil is the murderous blind clown in the MODERATE Clowns challenge for example. He was inspired by Jeff in Half-life: Alyx. We definitely have plans to add more content to this $19.99 title!

Sorry, I played Face Your Fears with the spiders about 8 years ago on Gear VR and that seems scarier than this….

I honestly think the problem with the game is that it seems very short and its price is expensive, like 20 dollars and I buy other much bigger and better games, for me if it was priced at 10 dollars it would be perfect, a cheap game for a beginner in VR or who wants to make fun of a friend or relative.

This should have been for PCVR with more realistic graphics. Then I'm sure some of these scenarios would be more intimidating. Can't imagine a game with Quest graphics being scary, but then I'm a huge fan of VR horror. Completed Alien Isolation in VR 3 times. Can't wait for Madison!

NOPE! The LIGHT is more scripted (on purpose) for those that need to ease in. MODERATE switches from scripted to our AI that is fully unscripted. In spiders EXTREME, all variables changed every time you hit READY. Size, speed, locations, if they jump, if the bite, which are venomous, etc. Made for a fun, fight, flight, freeze experience. ;)
Poor VR developers, must be hard trying to sell games when there's RUclips for people to basically see the whole game before it's out !
That's why devs should make games that are longer than 20 minutes. 😂

This looks like it was made by and for children...pass.
Rated Teen so 13+. We tried to get it rated for 10+ but since a grown man literally crapped himself on Heights EXTREME, we though it best to stick with the teen rating. Us devs are also all kids at heart so thanks for the compliment! :)
