    I’ve seen other grapevines make the toe-toe part look like more of a chocktaw/pigeon toe transition but yours looks simpler

    • @Skatie
      @Skatie  Год назад

      Absolutely there are loads of variations. The toe to toe position is more of a matrix position and as you say it’s hard.

      It took me a while to work out what was happening as it looks like you’re floating along it’s hard to see the individual moves. Hope this helps you unlock the move. Have fun 💕⭐️😎🤩

  • @kevinthielmann9408
    @kevinthielmann9408 Год назад +2

    The grapevine has so many different styles. The one in my area, East Coast of the US, uses the double toe manual for the duration of the trick, so the heels don’t touch the ground. Then it’s just made to look like a continuous swirling motion. The way my buddy, Josiah, can actually do this all the way around into a 360 while making it look as if his legs are simply floating beneath him. The man is super talented.
    It’s cool how skating styles can be so different, almost like accents.
    Edited for wording

    • @Skatie

    Awesome breakdown! I've been trying to get this for years! Now, I know what the problem is.... The toe-toe manuel! I'm determined to get it. So, I'll be hanging on to a chair for awhile! But you gave me the confidence and the knowledge to do it! Thank you!

    • @Skatie
      @Skatie  Год назад

      You can do it. Some of it is building up strength to hold that toe toe position, be patient with yourself. Practice little and often and it will come xx

    Is this move easier to learn on smaller wheels? I got like 62mm VNLA wheels and most people I see balancing on toes have smaller wheels in diameter and width. I would appreciate some help if anybody knows :D. There aren't too many roller skating resources online regarding wheels unfortunately.

    • @Skatie
      @Skatie  8 месяцев назад

      I have a video called does size matter and that explains the benefits of a smaller wheel for these types of skills.

  • @heathernicole88

    Soo I have a quick question, you can take your toe stoppers off to learn better?

    • @Skatie
      @Skatie  Год назад +1

      Yes absolutely. If you’re finding they’re hitting the ground in these types of moves you can remove them but make sure you have a couple of good ways of stopping without stoppers before you take them out.

    • @Skatie

      Make sure to really drill the standing version of the toe toe this will help you gain confidence to do it rolling too.
