Heidi, what a fantastic video. What a treat meeting up with Pete, Wow. As a child I grew up where you were moored and met the policeman. Queens Street. You were tied up (ooh er) by Cow Lane Bridge, the former name of Frodsham Street I believe. Thanks again for posting and glad your mum made the trip to see you. P.S. one of my favourite haunts is Telfords Wharehouse, MANY a happy time spent in there to this day. Cheers.
Everyweek my partner and I watch your vlogs and love to see your new encounters. My name is Bev LISTER and I was born in 1969! My partner takes great pleasure in mocking me when you say “fire up the old girl” 😂. I think the Rum Wench goes to prove the oldies are the besties , love to Bonnie xx
Hi Bev, I’m also a boater and my maiden name was Lister. My late husband had an air cooled 1946 Lister which sounded amazing but as he ran it on used cooking oil it smelled like a burger van 😂. My boat is much more fragrant! By the way, I was born in 1954 and still makes me smile to see park benches with Lister Dursley on them. All best wishes to you 🦆💕
This vlog has to be the best advert for my home city that I've seen in years. Thank you Heidi for your excellent vlogs, I always look forward to Thursday evenings.
I think Chester is the most beautiful and interesting city you have shown us. Those old walls and the cathedral with its history of the site. As always a lovely video.
Great vlog as usual Heidi. Loved Chester, although we are quite close to there,so been many times. No matter what boat we have, there is always a nicer boat like the tug out there we would swap for 🤣 The tug is fabulous. Hugs for Bonnie 💖 Take care, see you next week x

Thanks for a lovely reminder of Chester. Did you notice that the cathedral has a detached bell-tower (most unusual) that looks like a sail-less windmill.
It looked like a lovely day Heidi. Chester is a lovely city used to always go there when I was a kid in the 70s with my mum and Dad when we lived in the Wirral near Heswall. How amazing meeting Pete of Midnight Oil
I used to cycle to Telford's Warehouse from the Wirral for Cheesy Chips & a pint, your film brought a tear to my eye remembering all the fun times my late wife & I had in Chester. She used to work in Boothmans Auctioneers on Watergate Street up on the Rows. Lovely you could spend time with your mum as well 😊
@@TheNarrowboatPirate Thanks for replying, one of my most treasured pictures is of Carolyn my wife and my mother also sadly passed on a canal boat in 2008 going across the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct.
Great vlog, really enjoyed the look around Chester, and how lovely to have a mum and daughter day. What a nice chap Peter was loved the fab secret places on his boat. Made us laugh when we saw the policeman, great that he had his photo taken with you and Bonnie. Have a good week, look forward to seeing you and Bonnie next Thursday.XX❤
Another fab vlog Heidi. That boat was amazing such beautiful carpentry to such a high standard. The pull out bed was just brilliant and a clever design.
Waw, Heidi! You’ve outdone yourself here: what an amazing vlog! Loved the city of Chester, love history and what is better than to have a teacher explain it all. I thought okay now this is fab just to discover you had Midnight Oil Pete in your rear entrance. Life doesn’t get better than this! What a combo! I hope something musical comes out of this… cheers! 🎉❤😊🥃🦮😎🤞💎💪😜
Oh I love Thursday gosh Heidi you are so blessed thanks for the stunning views of Chester , saying hello to Bonnie 🐈⬛ she so adorable. That last boat was gorgeous 😍. Thank you for your time your friend from Orlando Florida Cindy ❤
Hello from a beautiful Florida day. Perfect time to take break with Heidi and Bonny. Another great day on the water. Thanks for taking us along for the ride. ❤👋
Lovely video Heidi, Nice to see you shared some special time with your mum. Chester is such a wonderful City and steeped in history too. Always fascinates me each time I go there.
The sheer volume of history in places like Chester always amaze me! I live in Canada where, beyond a few hundred years of European occupation, the indigenous sites are not at all obvious and they didn't build any monuments or large structures. My own house was built in 1850, which is just a baby compared to the oldies in the UK.
How I look forward to the weekends with Heidi and Bonny on another adventure, We take a lot of our history for granted, but You educate us all the time, Chester looks amazing, the engineering that goes into them locks is truly incredible,...Have a Great Weekend both of you,...see you on the next one.
Telford's warehouse is at the of a long bike ride for me from North Wirral. I've had many a pint in there, followed by a very careful ride along the canal back home. Great to see you visiting Wirral Heidi, and well done for braving the ever fickle Mersey.
I really your videos with the walk around the city!!! It's very nice to see the old buildings still being used!! I love the old arcatecher!!! That guy's boat was really nice!!! Glad you enjoyed Chester, always great to see other people's view on somewhere I've known all my life. I was keeping an eye out for you but missed you.
That is amazing, I had a 12incher (which I'm sure you'd appreciate) of Beds are Burning by Midnight Oil. Very political band and staunch Republicans, if I remember right.
