I left a massive comment on Part 1 (regarding you walking under my old house in Looe and coming back for the North Coast etc.) so I'll TRY to keep this brief, but this adventure ABSOLUTELY MUST continue at some point from where you ended. Dodman Carpark would be an ideal setting off point. According to my very rudimentary calculations (following the coast with the ruler on Google Earth...) it's the same distance again to Penzance, taking you through what is objectively the most gorgeous place on Earth, the Lizard Peninsula. And if you're up to it, another 15 or so miles from Penzance to Lands End, at which point you've essentially completed the South coast of Cornwall. Hope this doesn't come across at too demanding, just thought it may be worth your consideration 😉 Epic series regardless Tom, like I said as a Cornwall native it's my favourite project of your's so far, and I'm very keen on the Kayak idea also! Hopefully see you down 'ere again soon!

Very impressed with the ground you covered in the time - really enjoyed your take on the area where we were brought up, worked and where some of us are lucky enough to still live. Thank you! - will watch the others.
All of those flags on that street in Par are for Par carnival! The houses are all assigned different countries that they have flags up for but often they are just flown all year round - so there aren't actually all those nationalities there! Love seeing so many local sights in this series!

Reminds me of my childhood and holidays in Devon and Cornwall. Rock pool hunting, cutting yourself on the rocks, sand in cuts, walking up step steps back to the camp site. Fish and chips looking at the sunset. Happy days.
I’m Austrian, and I never realized how beautiful England actually is! Now, I absolutely want to travel there. Thank you for sharing such a breathtaking view of England!
England is beautiful if you don't go to the cities. It was the origin site of the industrial revolution, so most of the cities were used for that purpose. Prettiness was less favoured than efficiency. So they look like shit basically lmao. Just stay clear of those cities and go to the national parks or the coast like this.

Another awesome take on this kind of thing is the 'Vagrant Holiday' youtube channel. I'm jealous if you've never seen them before, and sad that there probably won't be more in future.
@@PhatInAHat vagrant holiday is great, and so is shiey if you like more deviant activities (although he has some more tame content as well if you're not into the less legal aspects of his adventures)
@@PhatInAHat Do you know what what happened to him or why he stopped uploading?
100% would love to see the kayak mission, and would really enjoy another ‘tenner in my pocket’ mission across more locations: europe etc!!!
Wont get far in the rest of europe lmao
@@Nick-hm9rh he'd get pretty far in portugal i know that for a fact
Tenner in my pocket with a Kayak in the Netherlands? So many rivers, canals and other waterways to freely roam!
The kayak mission would be topped off by an appearance of Uncle Ed!!!
@@Marco-ip5cwand Serbia, Romania, Albania, Bosnia, basically most of the Balkans and pretty much all the caucuses.
Loving the Age of Empires resource depleted sound effect when a snack is consumed!
I was looking for that comment.
That sound gives me a nostalgic impulse to go to my town centre and reseed my farms haha
THANK you! I must have replayed it half a dozen times trying to remember where I knew it from 😂😂

This is my favourite series from you. Travelling alone followed by random interactions with strangers, it really does feel like your stumbling on side quests/random encounters. One of the most comfy videos I've ever watched, please do more!
Every time I watch your videos I have blast, but I am simultaneously reminded how impossible (much more dangerous) that would be as a woman! Anyway, I'm glad you're having fun and maybe I'll get to experience something similar in the future
Yeah I think this too! Also thought Helen was brave af inviting him to stay in her home
I wonder if it is. I imagine as long as you keep to yourself by nightfall, it might be okay. As long as you do it in an area you generally feel safe. I've walked alone at night many times and never really felt like I'm in danger in my area.
@@philaeew4866it’s the nights that would be the issue. I would feel really vulnerable sleeping alone on a bench, not knowing who could show up, and I can imagine most other women would too - even if the area is generally safe by day
I love these because they've got all the adventure and resourcefulness of a straight line missiong, but more chilled out and relaxing because there's no finish line to be in doubt about, and no real danger. Thanks Tom!!
More interactions too!
And less potential for angry farmer confrontations
I love how low stakes the tenner in my pocket videos are. It's really cool that you are happy for things to end naturally rather than trying to be super extreme and push yourself to the point that you're not having fun making the video.
Can you imagine walking in to a pub to see GeoWizard singing Red Red Wine....absolutely love it!
You can sing! I was surprised and enjoyed your Karaoke haha
These two were so lovely and have been passed on to friends and family; everyone was utterly charmed. So good to know you had such a brilliant and original adventure in our beautiful Cornwall.
For the next episode of this series you should start where this episode ends. By the end of the series you can walk around the uk for 100 or whatever number of episodes it takes
That's actually not a bad idea! 👍
Calm down
Helens a real gangster 😂😂😂
Honestly. These videos bring me SUCH SUCH joy. You’re an incredible storyteller and adventurer. Keep inspiring us. Keep being amazing. You’re a talented bastard!
Half a million views in 2 months -- Tourism Cornwall should frigging pay you... at least a tenner! Incredible video. As an English teacher, this is content that beat any textbook... As an English teacher, I love your broad vocabulary -- always learn new words, like 'whipper snapper'.
30:10 wtf I played this back like ten times -- why did you cut it out. That's very well sung, quite high and a hard song...
My favorite series! Being from Norway, I had no idea the british coast could be so beautiful. I want to bring my family now
Depends on the beach, avoid Skegness
@moritakaishida7963 Skegness is not exactly in beautiful Cornwall, now is it
Basically avoid all UK except Devon and Cornwall and maybe add Dorset but after that it’s not great
Tom walking into Buckingham Palace: nice enough building. could sleep in here i bet
Do-able!
The whole tenner in the pocket and walking series has been amazing, this one as well as the previous. Absolutely in love with the idea of this. Makes me want to try it myself. Thanks for uploading these types of videos, truly appreciate them so much. You're such a lovely guy.
Some of the City’s are lovely, or at least have lovely parts.
Loads of lovely countryside thought, Yorkshire Dales particularly beautiful.
@@Fishcakebreadcake the historical ones like Bath, York, Chester, Oxford yea. The ones that have a brown attraction sign when you drive past them on the motorway 😂
Its honestly amazing seeing so many of my local villages and coastal towns getting the spotlight they deserve, cornwall really is a place full of hidden gems, ive lived here my entire life but the amount of amazing little niche places im yet to see is astounding!
It’s because all the awful places are inland. Bodmin, Camborne, St Austell, Redruth, Liskeard
@@Smoneey - Thats true XD. I live in lanivet, a little village just outside bodmin, and are non coast towns really do pale in comparason to anything on the coast (maybe exept Newquay, which looks like it was amazing town once, 50 years ago in its hay day)
@@Smoneey Camborne isn't that bad, just a few dodgy characters give it a bad reputation. I have a view of Tehidy from my house over Roskear way, right smack in the middle of Camborne. Beauty!
Tom's become a real Protagonist of his own game. Finding the missing boots for the mans' absent-minded son was one thing but damn Helen's family dispute quest was something else entirely.
My god cornwall is beautiful.
It's an amazing place, I live next door in Devon but would love to move to a rural area of Cornwall. It has some not so nice areas in some of the larger towns, but that's the same everywhere.
Yeah, this video makes me want to go there
Brother did more for Cornwall with that video series than UK marketing ever did
@@kilasracingfactory Cornwall doesn't need marketing, It's already rammed in the summer full of british tourists. If anything having all of the world know about it would be bad because the small narrow roads would get even more full and be a nightmare. I feel like this is the reason it's a British secret, we want the world to think UK has shit beaches so they don't come because the roads aren't built for larger scale tourism.
Should see it now, bleak, grey and fucking windy.
If I could pick a place to stop while being homeless, it would be this stretch of the English Coast. Such incredible beauty, and this coming from someone who lives in New England.
You all have such beautiful land, and good people. 👍
Cornwall is my favourite place in the UK. Top video done Cornwall proud
Tom these adventure videos, and specifically these tenner ones, are like a warm blanket in winter for my brain. The indescribable way these videos soothe my soul can't be overstated. Thank you for continuing to make them!
It’s brilliant isn’t it? Have any of us even figured out WHY this particular content is so soothing and sort of nostalgic?
The way you wrote this comment is lovely, I don’t know how to describe it!
The village drama is top 5 geowizard moments - while being 😮🫣😬 - it’s totally to the theme of the series , completely out of the blue kino. Regards
the 4b2c king 👑
This, along with the angry Welsh farmer, top tier geowizard moments
i love this type of video so much. i'm going to spend a few days in london next week and i never knew that england had such beautiful countryside and coast lines! hope i can take the bike and tour the country side next summer!
Hi Tom, thank you for making a really exciting adventure and challange. Just come across you channel and love it. ❤
But what i loved more is that i pack my bag , a one man tent and a trap, armed with my fishing rod and camp along all the places you past, from lantic bay to gorran haven, may favorite place is combe haven, gribbon head and black head. Choosing a different place every night to fish and camp. All those hills and paths, whating on your video, makes me excited to getting back onto the beach again in some remote location.
Take care and be safe
Helen is a legend.
Why on Earth did "Oh it's September" send me laughing.
Same. Either he's just incredibly drunk, or it's the night after August 31st. Probably both.
I just thought he was guessing what Earth wind and fire song Helen did a rendition of and he just remembered 😂 so random!
The first "Tenner in my pocket" video had me like "well, he will be father so he needs to do some more relaxed things". I was so wrong. This is absolutely amazing. The stories, the tales, the "survival" and friendships you build. Keep it up and let us all be more adventurous, inspired by you.
Tom, I could literally watch you do anything, but YES give us more of these videos please! Come and have a go at a twenty in your pocket in New Zealand! You'd love it mate!
you know, this is warming my heart.
In unknown territory I am quite a shy person and it costs me a lot of selfconvincing to get in touch with people. seeing all these lovely welcoming interactions makes me think maybe I should do this kind of stuff more often, there is so much to gain from it.
Oh Helen took a 'shine' to you did she... Was 'very generous' was she... Invited you over for 'breakfast', said you crash on her 'sofa' did she. Come over and 'ring her doorbell' at any hour. It just got better and better 😂
Helen bought herself some muscle bringing Tom over to her nemesis and all. She's pretty smart.
The Helen story arc was absolutely insane 😂
‘Organic adventure’ is a perfect way to describe these
"Yer not from round 'ere arr ya?" 😂
Great little series! I've retired to the sunny coasts of the Costa Blanca in Spain.... a tenner goes a lot further over here 😊 I've really enjoyed watching your adventures in Cornwall
The world is on pause while I watch these videos. Please keep doing what you're doing Tom! Nobody is like you.
bro that was 100% chicken of the woods (Laetiporus sulphureus) such a shame
but good survival instinct with the decision not to just scran it xD
Not to mention, mushrooms growing close to roads and/or urban areas basically act like sponges for heavy metals.
He should become more educated about foraging it would help him in these quests.
@@twello9969 and dog piss
@@twello9969I'd wager that polypores don't accumulate heavy metals unless the trees they live on do so. But that's just a guess, personally I wouldn't think twice about that chicken.
Not sure how common yews are in cornwall, but chicken of the woods might become toxic if grown on a yew
As someone from the Mediterranean I had no idea Cornwall was so picturesque, those villages are stunning, and as someone who loves a good pub I would very much like to visit them 😁😁
Met loads of Spaniards in Cornwall who came to work in the summertime, since Spain were having problems with unemployment or something. Everyone of them were very surprised at how amazing the beaches were. It was nice to hear since I hear a lot of people making fun of British beaches cos the only ones they've seen in the media are Brighton and Blackpool
I love the fact you turned down a beautiful shelter in Fowey, but were happy to stay at a randomers house in Mevagissey who happened to be part of a local dispute. Top quality content!
Helen was great, what a lovely lady!!
These are genuinely some of the best videos on RUclips. They feel like sitting and chatting with an old friend, without a care or worry in the world
As an American in Florida id love to see all the cornwall content you could imagine. Such a beautiful place I can only hope to make it there one day.
Come on over, we love tourists (emmits) down here!
Met lots of Floridians when I lived in Cornwall who all loved it there. You guys grow up with beaches so must love the coves round every corner :D
I would love to see you continue this challenge along the rest of the SW coastal path. You could just do a section at a time, there is so much of Devon and Cornwall you've yet to see!
Cracking series mate - while knowing in my heart it was way too ambitious, I was quietly hoping you'd make it all the way down to me and my wife here in Penzance, but I have to say just shy of Falmouth is an immense effort, fair play 👏 I really do take it for granted how lucky we are down this way, beautiful beautiful scenery throughout, and that Helen arc was.. something 😂
Cheers tom all the best
I grew up in Cornwall, but moved away several years ago. I loved watching this, and seeing so many places I'd been to at the weekends as a child. Would love to see more of these, possibly picking up from where you left off, or doing one starting at Lands End and walking up the north coast? That part of the county is absolutely breathtaking.
DUDE, you really wore those socks..... 49:08
“I don’t know who that young lad thought I was, alright mate I’m just in your house… yeah… just wondering around” absolute comedy gold! Tom you’re a treasure mate! I’ve watched you for years now and your adventures just get better and better, what a fantastic episode! Keep it up mate! Look forward to the next!
The combination of the beautiful scenes, heartwarming human interaction and not knowing what to expect makes these kinds of video a perfect break from the bland, grey, predicable and negatives of everyday live. Thanks for making these!
Left England 6 years ago. Your content has a special place in my heart, a sense of nostalgia that humbles me indeed
It was really nice to see places I recognise, especially Charlestown. Awesome video
I love these adventures so much, they make me glad to live in the UK and have the beautiful landscapes at our doorsteps
Love, love, love these series.
That noisy tap was something else 😳🤣
I love your straight line missions, but I think this even better. For me it catches similar adventure feelings, but has the added lair of human interaction!
This is recounting my childhood summer holiday spots.... Fowey, Polkerris, Par and Charleson are all lovely and I'm glad you went to them, it's very nostaligic
Gorran Haven! Oh my days. I used to go there as a kid on holidays from Hampshire. I live in Yorkshire now. That were thirty, thirty five years ago. I'd just about forgotten about those holidays. Can't wait to show my dad this and ask him if it looks - as I suspect - completely the same! This channel is just brilliant. Thanks Tom.
Now i'm sad. Really sad. Cause it's over. I wanna keep watching for 347 hours. :(
More of these, Tom!
Yeah! It was over too quickly :( Now we gotta wait another few months at the least
I thought he was doing the whole coastal path, that would make a long series 😂
