I think that carpet in the Gable honeymoon suite had to have been the original! What a charming town.

Thank you for the Vlog. I was there about 10 years ago. I went to see the hotel too. However the funniest thing that happened was that while I was browsing in a gift shop one of the little burros came right into the shop to browse as well. The shop keepers took it in stride. So it appeared it really was the the burros town. 😃

It looks like a place that Clark Gable and Carole Lombard would love to go to. So far off the beaten path. I would love to go there too. I love that the wild Burros just roam through the town. It seems so peaceful

Robert and Trudy Whitaker, who were friends of my parents, bought the Oatman Hotel in the late 1960's, and moved there from California with their 10 year old son Bobby, a classmate of mine. I know they owned it for several years. My parents stayed there in the early '70's, but not in the Gable/Lombard suite.

What a fascinating little mining (Ghost) town. That place is just plain cool. The burros are friendly enough. This is an unusually "honeymoon" destination, but I can see the attraction as well. You take us to amazing places everyday DAZE, Jordan, and I am thankful for the travel vlogs. I am seeing parts of America, that I may have never known existed. THANK YOU!!

Hi Jordan, BOY!! what a BRILLIANT little town, I love donkeys and that would be a perfect place for me to stay for a weekend. I'm so pleased you managed to view the room and what a BONUS that there is an original dress of Carole's. You can just imagine that Hotel and Clark & Carole back in the 1930s, you can't beat old Hollywood love stories. What STUNNING scenery aswell. Even the donkeys want to get in on your brilliant vlogs. Oatman doubled for “Gold Road” in How the West Was Won. That 2 story building at 3 Mins was where the family stayed before the fight w Gantz that includeed the incredible train scene. It was blue in the movie. Most of that paint is worn off, but you look in a few places and you can still see it. Great vlog Jordan

I was with my uncle years ago, in the town where MANY of my relatives once lived,,Cadiz,Ohio.
He mentioned that a certain aunt once baby-sat a young Clark(e) Gable.
Also, if you visit the Gable house/museum in Cadiz, the tour guide mentions that the sled there was bought for young Clark(e) at the "McFadden" hardware store.
This would have been my great grandfathers, brothers store.
The only McFadden(John) to have fought in the revolution and is buried in Ohio is buried in Cadiz. He is my 5th great grandfather.
