It is time for Void's Shiek to achieve the next level
Now THIS is movement
I know, right!?
Just.... Play melee?
@@LunaVictoria9 - Well, yeah... But since Snasen was playing Ultimate, he gets to push the meta of this game now. We finally get a deeper level of tech from Ultimate. It's a great feeling, and we can just be glad for the new game for once.
Now I know why part 2 took forever, the amount of effort you put in getting all of those examples is incredible.
A2ZOMG Haha, thanks for understanding! It took way longer than I thought it would. My workplace is on lockdown too which also gave me time to finish this.
You've taught me how to needle fidget to forever curse my rivals
Well done.
You're a god, holy shit!
I labbed this out when Ultimate first came out and again after MSC's C-stick Macro Specials video, but could not for the life of me figure out why I could get C-bouncing to work perfectly in slowmo, but not in normal speed (aside from MSC's method, which I found awkward to use when running off a ledge). I figured it must've been some weird input jank to do with slowmo, but had no idea how to replicate it in normal speed. Thank you so much, these videos are fantastic.
PlasmicOcean Wow, thanks! Love your comment! I’m actually in the exact same boat as you. And then one day I did a rising buffered aerial without drift by accident and found out how the c-stick works which also lead to this lol.
@@SnasenSmash - That's why we lab.🧐
The demons joke made me chuckle. You've got really good content, maybe add some transitions.
Haha, after editing it was kind of a blank spot in the video.. I just had to put something there lol. Thanks alot, I will make sure to check up on how to get these transitions flowing till next time.
Most underrated Smash content
Holy smokes! I just saw your channel for the first time, but your videos are amazing! I subscribed immediately!
Any Captain Falcon tech you have would be appreciated! Even if it's a 1 min long video. Keep up the great work!
Maybe controller demonstrations like how MSC does it could be a good addition, great video. Got the buffered wavebounce from the ground down, just gotta get the regular neutral special wavebounce down now
iliketrain10 will do that in the next tech showcase coming soon :)
You forget to add the final fantasy song to the list of music in the description. Great video btw.
Im finding it very difficult getting the c-stick angle consistently to get neutral b wavebounce, this game doesn't seem as forgiving as smash 4 in this sense.
Great content, waiting for the next two
You are one of the few ult players that actually labs. New sub
1:22 "Low Battery"
I assume the 11 frame lag of needle fidgeting is caused by shield drop frames?
Great work making this video! Very interesting and can help many characters perform new tricks that could potentially be meta changing
It’s actually just the startup of needle charge (8 frames) and canceling of needle charge (3 frames). If you tap shield quick enough you never enter shield drop frames. Thanks a lot! That’s what I hope for 🤞
Otacon,
Hnnnnnnnnnnrrggggggggh C-bouncing
Really helpful 😁
I played friendlies with this insanely clean sheik on boxx at PP7. I saw him do this tech midgame, which I wasn't aware of at the time, and I thought I was going insane. I had no idea what the hell I was looking at. And only now do I just find out on accident what it actually was. I feel so vindicated lmao
Crazy technology!
im really struggling to cbounce a charge projectile like aura sphere pls help
Also, I miss smash 4s’ jump cancel glide toss tech.
Just watched this video, and we actually have the exact same control scheme.
Had grab on L for DITCIT in smash 4
I love you for figuring this out. I'm trying to learn it to use gun sliding while coming off of platforms.
I keep getting a basic B-reverse though despite having forwards momentum. Not sure what I'm doing wrong there. I also can't seem to have enough height to gun slide despite getting the wavebounce to work, which probably means I'm just doing it wrong entirely. I try to follow the instructions but it always results in just a B-reverse.
If you get a turn around special (b-reverse with forward momentum) it means you are holding the c stick too long. And if you don’t get enough height it means you gotta be a little quicker when running off the platform. Might help to slow down in beginning to find that spot. Also mentioning just in case. Make sure you press the special button again to get that quickened gundash. Hope it helps :)
@@SnasenSmash Thank you.
Is there a way to do the smash 4 tech, step dashing, in ultimate? I know sheik can do a variation of it, but what if everyone could?
Bro ultimate is really turning into melee but in a good way
SUGOIII
Another (in my case common mistake) is hitting special before the C-Stick. I've been trying to figure out why my angle didn't work, and why I always got a reverse, turns out I hit first special and turned it around after.
Fun Fact: Testing in anything but 1x speed makes you not have to flick C-Stick, somehow making this easier on 1.5x than normally. Wonder how that works.
Sheik C bounce so fast it's look likes she teleport
So basically what I'm hearing is that TASbot will be on another level when playing this game
A lot of this tech (C-bounce, IDJ, CSF, full momentum nair, etc.) seems so frame-tight that consistently performing it and incorporating it seamlessly into your play doesn't really strike me as realistically human
Based.
Must the special be inputted on the same frame as the cstick? And if so, wouldn’t that reduce its viability cause of polling?
The c bounce neutral special is good enough for wolf and charizard in a real match? A miss input (side b) could be really bad
Is this real life?
Or is this just fantasy?
bruh omfggggg i can do the wavebounce facing left perfectly fine but whenever i do it forwards i always mess uppppppp!!!
can someone please help me? i play lucas and im trying to work on wavebouncing his pk fire
it’s honestly making me triggered
@@fettugenie749 What are you doing when you do the c bounce?
@@Mr-yz5pw oh i already swapped back to doing it the original way, but what i was doing was jumping in the air, holding forwards, then flick the c-stick the other way and pressing b at the same time
again, if i’m being honest, i think it’s much more consistent and easy to just flick the left stick back and forth
@@fettugenie749 Yeah. I use claw-grip when I use my controller so it is almost effortless to me. This can be hard for regular grip since this is basically frame perfect.
any tips for those who keep getting side b wavebounces and reverses?
I can get it consistently at 2/3 speed. But at normal speed it always ends up as a turnaround special. What am I doing wrong?
It means that your timing is good, but you don’t flick/release the c-stick quick enough.
Can this be done on a pro controler or only gamecube?
Anarcho Bearism This can be for sure be done with pro controller. I use pro controller myself 😁
Does this still work in oct 2021
Wait this is frame perfect, isn't it?
thehuffpuff10 In a way yes, that you input c-stick and special on the same frame!
Possible to do with side ways joycon?
(Nice vid btw lmao)
Dark Sins Not for a human, sorry lol.
(Thanks!)
It's very cool but unfortunately I don't think It'll be useful with my dark pit :(
I keep getting side special help
Since you asked for feedback, I found it a bit difficult to hear you, especially towards the end. Your voice should be louder or the background music more quiet.
Thanks! I totally agree. I will work on that for sure
I thought it was fine...
At 1:20 you show down angle cstick and special producing turnaround neutral special but at 2:48 show it producing a turn around down special, what’s the difference?
For the neutral special you angle it 45 degrees. But for the turn around special its more angled downwards. It is a very low margin on hitting the turn around down special. Hope that answered your question!
@@SnasenSmash Yes it did! Thank you 🙏🏾😁
In this video you say L stick overrides l stick for four frames, but in the CSF vid you said it’s for 3 frames 🤔
Yeah, correct amount is 4 frames. I think I say it in a way in the video as of correcting myself. The "common knowledge" was 3 frames before. I trusted that information until I tested it more myself. =)
Just wondering, does this still work with current patches? Haven't been able to get it to work
Still works, just takes practice
Hey, got a quick question
I’m playing on pro con (idk if this matters or not), but every time I go to do this, I end up getting a wave bounce or b reverse side b when I hold the control stick forward
Would anyone know why?
Go to do what?
If a shiek starts teleporting on me in bracket imma freak out lmao
So you can’t use smash stick lucario for aura spheres
ASN SAN I don’t think so in this case. Smash stick works a little different with special moves. :(
Snasen sigh ok
To clarify, you don't have to tap the special button, you're only flicking the C-stick right?
Nyax Ellemonte Yeah, that’s correct.
@@SnasenSmash Thank you so much! I think I'm having a difficult time pressing special at the exact same time as the C-stick. Not sure I understand the timing because I feel like I'm doing them simultaneously.
What’s the z button’s performing?
Special
Anyone have any tips for inputting the neutral special c bounce?
I have been at it for a couple of days and can't consistently hit the sweetspot 45 on the pro controller and was wondering if there was something I was doing wrong
Peter Rutt Some people actually mod in notches for the stick to hit the same spot all the time, but other than that it just really takes time to get the feeling exactly where to flick the c stick. Make sure you are consistent about where you have your thumb placed so you do the same motion every time to get that muscle memory down 100%
Snasen would you recommend a multishine controller? Was thinking of getting one actually to make this more consistent however I do want to learn it without it, cus I think it’ll make me a better player, I’ll just keep at it
Os this frame perfect becouse it feels reakly hard and inconsistent
TS ssb Hitting the C-stick and special together is frame perfect, yup!
Ok I was correct still viable tho
Is there a demonstration on normal joy-cons?
Since most people use Gamecube controller I used that as the visual buttons. But the button layout is pretty similar to joycons and they have the same letters on them except for the yellow C-stick which is the joystick on the right joycon. I hope this helps, but please ask more if there is something you wonder about! =)
No more questions but thanks for explaining
@@DoubleTapJeff Anytime!
Is this inapplicable with gamecube?
The controllers, or in Melee? Melee doesn't have wavebouncing, but you are able to reverse neutral B moves. Falco lasers are consistently done using this.
Just... Not with C-stick.
In Melee, to reverse b from a short hop, you just run one way, short hop with flicking for tap jump in the top corner of the opposite side, then hit b, then fast-fall if you're quick enough.
