I put this on while writing a fantasy RP scene. My character played your song, soft and sweet. It was enchanting. Thank you for this it is an amazing piece.
"Viora starts to play a soft melody on her lyre, her fingers dancing across the strings. The sound of her music fills the air, mixing with the falling rain outside.
Ralic and I turn to look at her, drawn in by the beauty of her playing. Even in the gloom of the approaching night, her face is soft and radiant as she plays, the firelight dancing across her features.
The sound of the lyre and the falling rain creates a peaceful, almost magical atmosphere around the camp."

What a coincidence :) I used this melody in my writing too, just finished the chapter today :)
Kinda hard to describe the culture of this fanfic’s universe, but I used it in a wedding ceremony. It is played for the couple as they exist the Ritual House and approach the site of the celebration - a grand bonfire in the middle of the village, surrounded by guests :)

Did you add something to your lyre to hold it in position so you could use both hands like that?

Beautiful music! I’m interested in learning to play. What 16 string lyre do you use?
Thank you so much! It's wonderful to hear that you're interested in learning as well. I find it to truly be just a delightful instrument. I use a lyre made by Ashthorpe which unfortunately isn't produced anymore.... Though it's the only lyre I have tried, it doesn't seem to be anything particularly special in regards to pricing and quality of materials that are available for other lyre available within the $75-$100 range. If it's of help to you, I spend a few minutes answering this question in my "Tips and Suggestions" video (ruclips.net/video/re7ArZx9dqY/видео.html) around the 6 minute mark. May I ask you how to hold the lyre? I have one but for me it's really hard to me usong both hands and holding the lyre at the same time

I too found it quite difficult and awkward to hold and play the lyre with both hands at the same time, so you are definitely not alone in that! I learned that folks often use a little strap which the left hand is twisted into to help stabilize the instrument and allow the left hand to play more freely. (I watched these free courses to learn about it - lyreacademy.com/beginner-core-lessons/). Mine is nothing fancy, just a strip of an old shirt tied to both ends. Other small things like sitting in a chair where my legs are close to a 90 degree angle and leaning the lyre back towards my left hand, also seems to help. Hope that helps a bit!

Is there a reason for the cloth ?
I find that the strap helps the lyre to stay more steady as I play. It's just a personal preference, but if it's helpful to you to know a bit more, I give a brief explanation in this other video.
