My Dad’s funeral was two days ago. He chose this song with Carrie singing and even though it makes me cry, it is full of love and hope too. So so beautiful ❤❤❤
My Dad was still alive but very sick when Carrie Underwood auditioned for American Idol, he said that that girl is going to be one of the biggest country stars that the world has ever seen. Yes it did. I could feel the spirit building. About half way through you could hear her breathing change in anticipation for closing of the song. If this old world could grab hold of that spirit and hold on. Revival would change this world

And the man is the incomparable Vince Gill. One of the best guitarists ever - he can make a guitar cry and sing. Vince was a TOP MALE COUNTRY VOCALIST in the 90's and one of the most sought-after backup/background singers in the country because of his gorgeous tenor voice.
And with the last 4 notes Carrie sealed her legendariness forever. Vince is a country legend and the pairing of these two for this song is perfection. I guess most people don't know this song actually is a Swedish one from the beginning. Don't think it has happened many times that a Swedish song which gets translated into English becomes known world wide despite beeing a mostly christian song. Since i'm a Swede myself i think it's pretty cool! This version is so beautiful and goes straight into your soul.
