      I aim for around 10ish minutes but these are not scripted, sometimes I have more to say 🙂
      I’ll consider some longer videos with multiple fragrances but I don’t want to go the usual “top X for this and that”.

    I have worn Jubilation 40 while I was in Tunisia. It works perfectly in the heat. It is a beautiful, luxurious and intoxicating scent for sure.

    As being a Jubi XXV fan , i ordered a sample of this one. I noted the below : The opening is very strong with patchouli very dominant. After a few minutes it settles very close to the skin and it goes towards XXV edition. Their dry downs are very very very similar. This lasts very long to me also . More than 10 hours in contrast to XXV that lasts around 4-5 hours max

    Hi , you really nailed it . I grew up in an Arabic country with much experience about perfume oils . When I sniffed Amouage reflection 45 and Jubilation 40 i immediately realized that they are not made entirely for winter. Those need more heat! When the oil is pure and the perfume has natural ingredients is not ( punching ) as people think it might be . Yes very noticeable. Thanks for the good review 🤗 keep the good job .

      I would like to try it but I’m afraid of redundancy and the reformulation. Maybe I should sample it.

      There are a lot of frag heads attached to the old Amouage era and that will bash everything new. I like to keep an open mind while trying to actually understand a product. Some stuff requires more than a couple of minutes or wearing.

    My jubilation 40 is lasting sum total of 15 minutes. It remains skin scent throughout its life and does nothing other than creating a dense patch on shirt.
    No sillage either. Infact, vanilla diorama that I sprayer a day back is smelling louder. I hope i haven’t got a dupe

    • @SeldomlyOften
      @SeldomlyOften  3 дня назад +1

      Yes! I think the weather is perfect for this. At this point I would try Jubilation XV and a sample of both Reflection and Reflection 45.
      Also, have you tried spray further away from your nose?
      I’m really puzzled by the performance you are getting.

      @@SeldomlyOften i have left it for few weeks to let it macerate. Hopefully i will get the real deal then. Till then, i am going to put all the Amouage exceptional extraits on hold. J XXV has been watered down alot so not trying that.
      My next two trials will be overture man and boundless. Just finished your video on Overture Man and it has me convinced to try 😄

  • @finality4795
    @finality4795 Месяц назад +1

    common sense agrees with you, no idea why reviewers say "it's too oily - no projection" and then recommend it for winter season. lol

    • @SeldomlyOften
      @SeldomlyOften  Месяц назад +2

      I think a lot of it has to do with the scent profile. Most people in the west associate a summer fragrance to citruses or marine notes.

    • @finality4795
      @finality4795 Месяц назад

      @@SeldomlyOften I just got my bottle today, got a good deal on a tester ~240. Love the scent, in my opinion this scent reminds me of heat, desert - I think it''s suitable for summer, especially summer nights / going out.
      Someone on Fragrantica gave a good description of this scent; in the movie Dune, that desert planet Arrakis, it's exactly what it would smell like, deep / sandy / heat / exotic
      And yeah, projection suffers because the oil is so heavy on the skin, most likely due to the resinous ingredients at a high concentration level

    I get very good longevity and sillage. The problem with it is that you think it's gone, but it's still there. I realised that when my friend was wearing it

      @SeldomlyOften  19 дней назад

      Well, there are a lot of factors to consider when talking about anything performance. In general, oils and high concentration fragrances work well in heat. Also, a bit factor in modern performance is the use of “boosters” such as ambroxan etc. This one might have less.

    • @IrregularTangent
      @IrregularTangent 19 дней назад

    Jubilation xxv and 40 are definetly not cold weather perfumes. Xxv is reformulated so badly that 40 is the only option. Lasts on me 12 hours with 0 projection, as you said it is basically skin scent, same as jubilation xxv which lasts around 6. For me, none of them are full bottle worthy. Jubilation 40 can be easily found on grey market for 270€ in EU, still, i do not think it is full bottle worthy

      I get the same great longevity as you but I can still smell it although it's definitely not a loud fragrance by all means. I like the scent enough to be happy I own it but I would recommend to try before buy.
